Nias

Faven found itching cream and pain pills. Taking the pills with a glass of water he then proceeded to gently rub some of the cream on the sore. The slightest touch sent waves of pain though his body and he had to force himself not to cry out. The pain only intensified when he rubbed it in. He moaned and decided it wasn't worth it, the itching wasn't going away in the slightest. He had no idea why the sore was acting up but he didn't really want to try and explain the injury to his friends, especially Sora. He didn't want her to worry; nor did he want anyone to suggest Heme had injected something other than the counteracting serum into his body. He was indebted to Heme for healing him and restoring his powers, he wasn't going to let his friends question his motives.

Hospital

Rena couldn't deal with the incomplete knowledge about Izeno. She wanted to know everything about him and his condition. She was placing all her hopes on the trust Izeno's pack had in him. Looking up at Rai she spoke softly. "How's Izeno?" she asked expecting the worst. She really wanted to know where he was but the pack already knew her too well. They wouldn't tell her because they knew she would try to go see him. So she contented herself to ask how he was.

((I suppose I will live. XD))

Sora stretched, wait for Faven to get done with whatever he was doing.

Hospital

"Still the same. I'm sure he'll come around. It's only been a couple of days after all," Rai answered.

Nias

Faven set the tube down in annoyance and washed his hands. Then rejoined his friends in the kitchen. He walked in and sat down without a word, he wasn't really sure what to say. The itch still driving him crazy and taking up a good portion of his focus with how annoying it was.

Hospital

Rena frowned. She really wanted to go see him, her vision of him during the night was not enough for her. "I see." she said tonlessly though hurting inside. She didn't have as much faith as Izeno's pack did. She just hoped that when he woke up that Izeno would be the one there and not his dark side.

((I guess that won't kill me either. XD))

Announcement

Queen Arigan has decided to give her kingdom to the capable hands of Gigmore. Gigmore accepts on the condition that she remains the authoritative position to help with local and regional powers. She accepts the terms and thus Nevah is now ruled by Gigmore. Gigmore now is heading out on a journey to meet his new subjects and see what he can do to help bring the land into a more stable, peaceful place. Also he intends to completely change how experiments are created and dealt with.

Lenil amassed a great army and takes Ozen by surprise. Drawing most of the more skilled warriors with an attack on a smaller trade city then launching the real attack from behind on the city. The take over was easy and Lenil personally killed Ozen then ordered the capture of all experiments loyal to Ozen. Lab scientists were forced to brainwash the captured experiments, losing their lives if they refused or pulled any funny business. Lenil picked a strong, capable, loyal experiment to oversee his new lands. The whole continent is crawling with Lenil’s troops. Both sea and air travel ways are thoroughly and routinely checked. No one gets in or out of the country without his knowing, well other than a few winged or finned experiments.

Roaz and Clevor clash and the border land between their kingdoms are reduced to shambles with the fighting. But little land is gained on either part. However Clevor is only half-hearted about the battles as he is currently focusing his efforts on a secret plan to thin out enemy troops while bringing up the power of his militia. Very few, other than those carrying out parts of the plan know details about it.

Quari

Kishi had fought bravely and without honor in the sly overtaking of Quari and the rest of Ozen's kingdom. She had great favor in Lenil's eyes and was picked to be the overseer of Quari.

Kishi was taking a relaxing break sprawled out on King Ozen's bed. She was splattered with blood stains from the battle as she hadn't yet clean up. It had only been three days and she had gotten little sleep but she didn't care. She had been enjoying her new power as well as overseeing the capture and brainwashing of experiments. She grinned and stood up. She had just came back from the interrogation of a enemy, she had gotten quite the story about the location of more hiding experiments but she was sure most if not all were fake. The experiment had then been sent off to be brainwashed. Sh sighed and looked at herself in a full length mirror. Shaking her head she spoke to herself. "This will never do. I have to give a report on my progress to Lenil and I can't go like this." She was covered in a thick layer of dirt and spatters of old and new blood could be found all over her as well. She skipped to the bathroom where she took a nice, long, warm shower. Then slipped into a bathrobe and began sifting through some of the clothes she had brought up with her. She found an appropriate gown for the meeting and took her time putting it on and fixing her hair.

Ship

Sinrith woke up to his beeper going off like crazy. He had been out for nearly a day. He was receiving an update on things back home. He read the message and a serious look came onto his face. He stood up from his bed, unconcerned about his ruffled appearance. He practically ran for the quarters of the crew. He rapped once on the door of the ship's driver then entered without waiting for a response. The man was roused form his own long streach of sleep by Sinrith's urgent command. "Get up and get the crew moving. We need to get this moving immediately!" As Sinrith swiftly left the room again the man jumped from his bed and began to round up what was left of the crew.

Sinrith checked in on his team to find each of them asleep. He was glad when he found Vure sleeping next to Kire.He had been worried that he wouldn't get any sleep. He went back to his quarters and changed his clothes and groomed. He then found a place on the deck and pulled out his communicator. As he responded to the message sent he could hear the crew running about and the ship began to move out into the ocean once again.

Nevah shoreline

Krin watched the ship of wounded experiments pull away from the shore. A sly smile slipped onto his lips and a glint of excitement shone in his eyes. He remained hidden amongst the leafy foliage of the nearest trees of the shore, waiting for the perfect time to pursue his target.

Nias Hospital

A breathless messenger rushed into the Rena's hospital room.

Rena looked up at the man curiously. "What is it?" She asked curiously.

The messenger boy took a minute to catch his breath then stood tall before speaking. "Rena Crean, I come bearing a report of recent events that have happened in your absence." He paused for a breath and continued after pulling a scroll from the bag on his hip. "Queen Arigan has given her kingdom to his Highness, Gigmore and entered into an allegiance with him to help with the protection of Nevah. Yesterday his highness, Gigmore left on a journey to visit his new land and the subjects there in. He has the royal guard and other companions of his choosing traveling with him. " the messenger cleared his throat.

Rena listened without interruption nor any importance. A look of interest and awe sparkled in her eyes.

"Rena Crean, top messenger and expert spy, you have been asked to accompany his highness, Gigmore. In order to carry needed messages back and forth, when needed."

Rena's eyes just about popped out of her head. Her! She was chosen to accompany his highness. She couldn't believe it. She was so wrapped up in what she was being told now that she completely forgot Rai was even in the room.

"It's understood that you are recovering and you have been given two weeks to recover. You are then expected to head out to meet his highness. You will be provided with all the necessities for the trip at your time of departure." He finished and rolled the scroll up. He took a few steps closer and extended the scroll out for Rena to take.

Rena took the parchment. "Understood." she replied nodding to dismiss him.

The messenger left and Rena lay there on her bed in stunned silence. For the moment everything, including Izeno, was wiped from her mind as she reveled in the honor of being chosen to accompany Gigmore on this important trip.

Nias

Kurai had followed closed behind the ship till it reached the shore. Still upset she stays below but ignores what is going on, on the ship. 'I don't see why they get to live.' As everything was worked out and Kurai found herself back in Nias her mood didn't lift any. 'I will kill them, the day for my revenge will come.' Heading into the docks and towards her own little stream to her own little lake Kurai sighs. The fish swimming around her don't aleave her despair as she is once again alone.

Nias

Rai blinked. "That's really awesome, Rena!" He congratulated her. He probably should tell Sho about the current events that were happening. Rena didn't look like she was going to run off. "I'll be back in a little bit!" Rai said, running out the door.

Kalm yawned and stretched, getting up when he heard a knock at the door. He opened the door to see a man in about his 30s, brown hair, unusually blue eyes. His clothes were a little above casual wear. "Who are you?"

Sora peeked out from behind Kalm, curious to see who it was. "Captain Kakuru!" Sora ran out from behind Kalm and run over to him. "What are you doing here?!"

"You know him?" Kalm asked, looking skeptical.

"He helped me escape from Zira a while ago."

Kakuru smiled. "Your welcome. Actually I'm here on personal... business."

Kalm raised an eyebrow.

"As you may know, there's a war going on..."

Sho was out of his seat when he heard that. "A war?"

"I guess you don't know... It's a bit of a story."

-about an hour later-

Sho sighed. "So let me get this straight. Nevah is now under the rule of Gigmore, Roaz and Clevor were at war, and Linel has taken over Ifron?"

Kakuru nodded. It was quite the messy situation. "Anyway I was here about Sora... There is a chance the city could be attacked. I was thinking I could help Sora train."

"Depends. Do you know anything about teleportation?" Sora asked. His story seemed insane, but she wouldn't put it past Lenil to try and ensure a hostile take over.

"As a matter a fact, I do," Kakura smirked.

"Alright what time and place?"

As Sora discussed the detail of her training Sho was thinking about what was just said. If a war was raging, there was a good chance Nias would be attacked. The real question was if Nias was attacked would there be anyone who recognized the team? It had been over two years since anyone had really been sent to capture Sho and his team. The only person they had sent after Sora was Faven, and obviously, he wasn't on Lenil's side anymore. Would Lenil want them back for the upcoming war?

Then there was this Captain Kakuru. He had explained that he did work for Gigmore's army. It didn't look like he was here to find new recruits for Gigmore's army... He said his purpose here was to train Sora... Sho knew nothing about him, and wasn't particularly happy about him being here. Sho did suppose that Gigmore wouldn't send one of his men to harm the Pack. He didn't seem to mind that they were staying in the city.

"Maybe I could come with you guys. After all Sora and I have almost exactly the same powers. Maybe I could be of some help."

"Sure I don't mind. As long as it's alright with Sora."

Sora frowned. She saw what Sho was doing. He didn't trust Kakuru so he wanted to tag along to make sure nothing happened to Sora. "I guess you could come," Sora grumbled. When where they going to stop treat her as the little sister of the Pack!? She was 30 years old for crying out loud! She could take care of herself! Still it might help to have Sho near by. After all he did know more about her powers then she seemed to know.

"Alright, see you later!" Kakuru waved walking out the door.

As soon as the door was closed, Sora yelled. "What was THAT?"

Sho wore a confused look on his face.

"Don't give me that! You don't want to help me train! You just want to keep an eye on Kakuru!"

"Sora we don't even know him-"

"YOU don't know him! I know him a lot better than you do!" Of coarse she hadn't known him that long... "I'm not a little kid, Sho. I can take care of myself!" Sora yelled, running over to the nearest window. She opened it, and jumped out, spreading her wings and letting flying come naturally.

Sho sighed. Sora being mad at him was worse than the war that was waging in the other countries.

"Sho!"

Sho turned to see Rai in the door way. "Good timing, Rai," Sho smiled. One less Pack member to run out and find.

"Rena is going to be leaving in two weeks. She's going with Gigmore to Riven. She leaving in two weeks. Riven is under the control of Gigmore now."

"So we've learned. We've also learned that Surga is in a Civil war and the Lenil has taken over Ifron. I have no idea what he's going to do. He may attack Nias, he may not. I don't know if he still wants us back," Sho sucked in a breath. "Meaning there's a new set of rules. No one is to go out alone. Go out in pairs. Two people will have to stay here to watch Izeno. You may visit Rena if you wish, I'm sure she wouldn't mind the company." With the recent developments Sho was sure that Rena wouldn't be running off anytime soon. "Rai go inform Fuego of the recent events." As long as Fuego is with May, he should be fine. May was a capable fighter.

"Right!" Knowing Fuego, he was probably with May.

Komoro had taken a break from watching Izeno to come out and see what the commotion was about. "Sora? Izeno?"

"Izeno we can inform when he wakes up. Sora... She'll come back when she's ready." Sora was right this time. She could take care of herself. That still didn't make Sho feel any better. He didn't know if Sora or Faven would abide by the rules. After all they weren't an official part of the Pack. After Sora taking off, he was sure that she wouldn't comply. He was pretty sure that once Rai gave Fuego the news he would never leave May's side.

Quari

Kishi left her new room and headed out to check on some of the freshly brainwashed experiments before heading to her meeting. She was curious about one of the more adamantly loyal subjects that had resisted so violently against capture. She didn't know his name but he was a strong and been assigned to a sentry post over the lab.
She walked up to Shinitai as he dutifully fulfilled his orders with his pet phoenix at his side. She cleared her throat to get his attention before asking. "You, what is your name?" Her voice was demanding but she smiled sweetly.

Nias Hospital

Rena waved a hand at Rai dismissively, still too wrapped up in the news to actually hear what Rai was saying. She unrolled the scroll to read the words herself. As she read the reality actually began to sink in and it became less of a fantasy in her mind. Slowly but surely it settled into place with the rest of her thoughts.
Her thoughts began to wander and Izeno came back to the front of her mind. Looking around the room and seeing no one she decided to try and stand. She forced her stiff, achy body into a sitting position and slid her legs off the bed. She touched her bare feet to the cold floor of the room. She shivered and breifly wondering if she should do this. Then pushed herself into a standing position. A wave of dizziness followed and she couldn't keep her feet. She collapsed, sending the empty food tray crashing to the floor. Head spinning and throbbing she closed her eyes trying to escape the pain.

Nias Hotel

Faven listened to Kakuru as he told about the recent events. He frowned at the thought of Lenil running all of Ifron. As the others discussed things he listened, still find the itch nearly unbearable. He said nothing about his opinion on the matter, but he knew Lenil quite well. If Lenil did launch an attack on Gigmore's kingdom it wouldn't be here. No, Lenil wouldn't attack Nias; he would go for Riven. It was the weak link in the state it would be in. Shifting hands would turn it their government into a disorganized mess. It would take at least a few months for things to start to settle. The differences in the way King Gigmore and Queen Arigan ruled where just so different that it would need time. He barely listened to Sora and Sho argue. Though he did watch Sora leave, the pain and the information left him in a sort of stupor and he found himself unable to put his thoughts to words.

Sinrith's Ship

Sinrith sat by the rail looking back at the thin shoreline of Nevah. He still couldn't believe that he had missed the take over of Ifron. The message had informed him of the success and told him that he was to immediately return to help in the rooting out of all rebellions and loose experiments. The only thing that gave him hope was the slight chance that this would lessen the punishment received for not completing his mission. He could simply say he dropped the mission to return. He wouldn't escape punishment because he would have been expected to carry out the mission in less time. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He hoped that his team was still sleeping, they needed their rest. All were exhausted, including him, and most were injured. He had even lost a few of the ship's crew. It seemed that things were going to turn out okay.

Krin had waited in his leafy hiding spot until the ship was well out to sea. Then he jumped from the tree and spread his blue wings. He flew fast and low to the ocean surface in pursuit of the ship. He had wanted to make sure they were well at sea before making his move. That way it would be harder to get help. A grin spread across his lips as he rapidly gained on the ever moving ship. Within ten minutes he got close enough to worry about being spotted. He dove into the water and his wings molted and became like flippers. He moved rapidly, surfacing only for brief seconds to fill his lungs. Easily escaping the tired eyes of the crew and coming alongside the ship.
By the time a sentry had spotted a peculiar wad of floating feathers it was already to late. Krin was on deck, sporting a set of large black wings and dripping with water.

Sinrith bolted to his feet with the sudden appearance of the stranger. "Who are you and what is your business here." he asked fighting to keep perfectly calm. He didn't wish to give away that his whole team couldn't fight.

Kirn smiled. "Ah, so brave." He said playfully. He started walking towards Sinrith.

Sinrith could hear the scurry of feet as the crew tried to figure out what was going on. He kept his gaze locked on Kirn, eyes scrutinizing him. "Stay back. State your business." He ordered firmly.

Krin stopped about eight feet away from Sinrith. "Strong words, but you can't back them." He said tauntingly, ignoring the shouts that could now be heard amongst the crew.

Sinrith stood firm he wasn't going to break down and fall for this man's taunting. There was just no way he could know that all the battle worthy experiments on the ship, other than him, couldn't fight. "I said state your business." He commanded.

Krin shook his head. "My, my your no fun at all." he moved a lock of wet hair from his face looking away from Sinrith for a moment.

Sinrith took this as an opportunity to subdue him. The vines that lay about his shoulders lept into action, firing themselves at Krin. Sinrith smiled. Gotcha. he thought.

Krin jumped into the sky and sliced the vines with a dagger. Eyes never actually looking at them. He turned his gaze back to Sinrith in time to see his dumbfounded expression. He grinned.

Sinrith set his jaw, he didn't know how he had dodged but he didn't like it. Nor the way he acted as though he knew everything. But the realization dawned on him that he had to win and keep the intruder above deck. The vine pieces sprung up at Krin.

Krin sliced them to little pieces and smiled back at Sinrith. Then he felt a blood on his face. His eyes widened slightly and he reached a hand up to touch the blood that leaked from a cut on his cheek. His eyes flared and he glared at Sinrith.

Sinrith smirked in satisfaction, he had cut him. That was a good start. But then it was his turn to be taken aback.

"I see, you aren't going to play with me. You are no fun at all." Krin said more seriously. "Then I guess I'll skip straight to finishing up." He did an aerial flip and dove down the hatch.

Sinrith gaped but only for a second. This man is crazy. He thought as he rushed for the stairs. Crew members started running across the deck but he ignored them. He had to stop the intruder before he found any of his team. He was unnerved by Krin's words. He was just playing with me out there? he thought annoyed. I'll have to go all out.

Krin easily fond the room of Zeik who lay on his bed deep in dreamless sleep. He disapeared into the room. Landing he walked over to the far side of the bed and pulling a ebony dagger out of his pouch. He flicked a piece of hair from Zeik's peaceful face as Sinrith burst into the room. Kirn looked up at him a victorious look in his young eyes. He lifted the black dagger to Zeik's throat causing Sinrith to stop in his tracks. "Game over. I win." He said in a cold happy way. "Drop all your weapons an surrender if you don't wish to see Zeik perish." He ordered.

Sinrith froze, eyes locked onto the dagger against Zeik's throat. He clenched his fists as Krin spoke then his eyes widened. How did this man know Zeik's name? It didn't' make any sense. He didn't comply with Krin's orders right away. He was thought there was a way that he could zip over there and disarm the intruder before he could hurt Zeik.

Krin clicked his tongue. "M-mm. Don't be getting any funny ideas. I would kill before you could take another step." He smiled and moved the dagger to Zeik's face where he drew a small cut on his jaw-line. Then moving the dagger back to the neck. "Drop your weapons, Sinrith." He ordered more harshly than before.

Clenching his teeth and fighting back the surprise he slowly began to drop his weapons to the wooden floor. Crew members began to show up in the doorway and as they surveyed the scene looks of fear and horror crossed their faces. "Get back!" Sinrith shouted at them. They warily retreated back down the hall.

Krin just smiled his victorious grin. "This is now my ship and everyone on it will do as I say or die." He said with a chilling laugh.

Sinrith lowered his head teeth and fists clenched in anger and annoyance. He should have stayed in Nevah, at least he would know what was going to happen. He didn't even know who this boy was and yet somethng didn't bode well.

Across the horizon the sky is illuminated as a large fireball ascends towards the heavens followed by a loud boom. Another day, another checkpoint destroyed and further advancement into land controlled by Clevor. It has only been a week since Frauke and Fairy set out on an assassination attempt against the King who ruled with a black heart and disregard to its people and all living things.

As they continued their way through what were once fields of crops, now laid to waste by battles and decomposing dead bodies of fallen soldiers, Fairy shakes her right arm from the blood that was clinging to the metal fingers.

"I had hoped we would have convinced those guards to desert the King but it seems anyone working for him has been brainwashed to be loyal till the last breath of their life. It is tragic for those men. No older than 19 human years and already dead.", Fairy said tucking in her arm back into her cloak. Frauke nodded once as she looked to the right, staring at a dead body being picked at by a raven.

A few faint beeps and whirring as Fairy looked over the information downloaded from the checkpoint, "Clevor and Roaz continue to clash in battles that favor neither side. Something is amiss. It would not be wise to continue taunting the other in meaningless battles unless there is an ulterior motive.". Frauke yawns and blinks, Fairy looks down, "Am I boring you?", Frauke shakes her head. "Perhaps we should look into setting up camp for the night. The nearest town is several miles away and it will be nightfall before we reach it." Fairy said then reached for Frauke's hand and lead her off the road and under a tree. Frauke let go and plopped onto the grass while Fairy gathered some dry sticks to start a small fire.

Upon gathering sufficient wood, Fairy used a stone and scratched it with a finger of her Claw hand. The sparks created, flew onto the dry leaves and caught fire though by then Frauke was already asleep. Fairy briefly looked at the little girl before sitting down herself and seemingly going to sleep.
