*Many shops toward se waterfront sold diving, snorkelling and surfing supplies, wet suits often hung outside alongside dry suits. Egyptians lined the doorways, calling in pidgin english, offering better deals than the last store, determined to pull busines sinto their little hovels. Wetsuits werent that expensive anyway*

A wetsuit was easy enough to aquire. Simple stuff, right?

So he purchased it, and returned to the hotel to leave it in his room. He had no immediate need to carry the thing around.

His next stop, then, was to the dock complex, just as he had the day before.

This time, he wasn't pursuing any larcenous goal. He just wanted to see if a schedule of any sort for departures was readily available. He was hoping, for it WOULD make his life a fair deal easier if he had the information he needed.

*He would be directed in time to the harbourmaster, a laid back man as egyptians went, who actually spoke english fluently. Once Iden made it clear what he wanted, the harbourmaster would be able to provide a week shedule for each boat's usual time slots in and out of the harbour, plus the current weeks extra trips, pencilled in by hand.
The downside? The harbourmaster wanted to know why he wanted it first.*

Iden's response was cool and collected. He was looking for two things...one, a dive school he could spend his vacation hitting up, and second, an idea of how things worked. It was a "little secret", so Iden said, that he was interested in moving here when his enlistment was up, and one of the things he wanted to do was buy a boat for himself. So, he needed an idea of just how tightly kept the books were, so he would know if he were getting in over his head.

No problems, just a calm, casual response, spoken man to man. What could he be suspected of, when his explanation was so straightforward and smooth?

*Suspected of? Nothing, under the circumstances. His request was granted easily enough, the harbour master entertaining him briefly, curious about his travels and plans fo rthe future, while he wrote in the schedules beyond the booked norm, passing the piece of paper to Iden. He;d even written in English, well... nearly English. It was legible at least.*

Iden stuck to his cover story, maintaining that he was a sergeant in the USMC. He was two years away from the end of his current enlistment, and intended to propose to his girlfriend when he got out, and spend the honeymoon exploring the reefs.

All in a good day's work. When the man was done, and the conversation wound down, Iden took his leave, whilst he looked over the schedule. He was looking for the next voyage of the ship, relative to the current date.

*A day under a week, a second trip planned in pencil on the next day. The other boats seemed to be sticking to their schedules and nothing else, a few extra boats that didnt belong to the harbour per se visiting through the next week also*

Iden returned to the hotel. He took a different route, this time, one that meandered slowly through town, taking in the scenery most tourists would pass through at least once on a vacation. Shopfronts, sights to see, places to go...a warehouse to locate....and ultimately, a hotel to return to.

Iden locked the door behind him, and took his penciled schedule to his desk. He layed it out with the information of scheduling he had been giving as part of his briefing packet, and began to compare. He wasn't trusting enough of the man to just let it go unconfirmed.

The inspection revealed that his new copy held more information than the old, which was a plus. Iden would be using it, though it made him a little suspicious, just thinking about it.

But that was okay.

For now, he shifted back to the bed. He hefted the duffel onto the bed with him, and ripped it open, literally. The duffel tore open, revealing his bodysuit in the lining. It was undetected because literally, it was sewn into the duffel itself, rather than just being stashed in a side pocket.

He had some time left on his hands before dusk, but still, he suited up then and there. It was sleeveless, and formfitting, which made it easy to conceal beneath his pants and shirt. As for the hood and mask, he pocketed them, and began the long wait until dusk.

He would move an hour beforehand. Once again, he was a tourist. Perfectly in place, nothing really odd about him going somewhere for dinner. It also gave him some time to get in position before the normal undead of the city were up, which was what he was most worried about. Daylight activities were just that much safer, because he was well certain it wouldn't be a normal person to detect him for what he was. Ghouls were the only issue while the sun shined.

Iden had spent much of his wait planning out this op. He'd taken to memorizing the details to the warehouse he had been given. So now, he was doing a basic survey, looking for an entrance.

*The warehouse was like most. Busy, items moving constantly in and out, the floor packed with boxes, sealed, the ceiling a nest of girders.
Guns were more common here in Egypt, but there seemed to be quite a few armed guards around the warehouse, busy after hours. It could be they were concerned with getting work done while it was cooler, than in working in the heat of the day, it could be they had sensitive items in the warehouse.
What passed for Egyptian police passed through the area, often stopping to exchange words with the warehouse workers, but again that COULD be normal. There was a main set of doors, a waterfront set of doors, both open, and a staff access door on the left side, with guards on it at all times*

'Twas time to settle in for the long haul.

Iden made another round about the warehouse, maintaining a shiting distance, to reinforce that he wasn't paying it any attention at all. Then, as the night began to fall, he took to hiding overlooking one of the busier entrances. Nothing special, just maintaining a line of sight while his own visible profile was not quite easy to see.

His intention was to watch the activity for the night. His ferret scampered away into the darkness, her dull brown and white coat not quite the best camoflague, but her size more than making up for it.

The plan was, then, for the ferret to observe another entrance, the guarded one, while Iden maintained his vigil where he was positioned. He wanted to be there to see anything out of the "ordinary"...or even better, be there to identify one of the known Settites or other identified leads if they arrived.

*He would note the security was tight. No obvious routines, ONE guard going off patrol as another came on, never both at once. Leila would note that the waterfront doors were where the workers went for a quiet smoke between unloading sessions, forklifts moving about inside.

In time, around 2am, a dark car pulled up a little way from the warehouse, three people climbing out. From the way work stopped in the warehouse, then continued with the twice the fervour, it was clear these were big wigs. One was bald, with tattoos snaking over his skull, but was dressed in a pristine business suit. At his side, a smaller man with glasses and trailing behind both, a teen in jeans and a loose t-shirt, slouching along.

They went in through the guarded staff door, vanishing into an upstairs office*

Iden had maintained his vigil with a stoic silence, unmoving and attentive. It was inhuman, but then again, it was Iden on a job, which was a wholly different person from the man that walked the streets of Durem.

So he waited. With sensory input on two fronts, he was able to keep tabs on both entrances. When the car arrived, he noticed first of all the change in activity amongst the rank and file workers. That was what had the ferret's keen eyes upon the bigwigs, from her position up against the wall, coated in dirt to blend in with the ground. The curious eyes of the ferret watched them, then, as they passed through the door, so then Liela would follow. She clung to the wall, only ankle height, and so was easily able to slip in, barring paranoia on the level where the guards were trained to find and kill rodents...

Not likely.

"....mean you'll be late this month?"
"It's not our fault, pasha. Last month, the recession meant no tourists! Now, its winter in the west and they all prebooked these holidays months ago - the boats are not free!"
"I still dont see how that makes for a three week turnaround one month, to SIX weeks this time."
"It is only one week past the due date, it cannot be helped sahib. We will do all we can, but there simply is not the man power."
"Can you not hire more men?"
"On the allowance we have to run this operation? Impossible."

*This conversation was carried on by the tattoo'd man and one of the workers from eth warehouse, clearly the foreman. The youth snapped his fingers idlyt hrough the air, then turned a lazy gaze on the group, before wandering to the window. Liela had of course been ignored - all rodents were in Egypt. Either the cats or the crocs got em eventually*

"You seem on edge, Kahstil."
"The operation had been getting bigger and bigger. How ong until it is noticed? How long until we are found out and I have to take the brunt, not you?"
"You speak quite out of place, and without cause. No one will discover us. No one important at least. We're merely moving money, not hurting anyone."
"Where does the money go? Why wont you answer me that? I move it form a to b, never taking, but always knowing no matter what you say, men woudl kill me if they knew!"
"Men are greedy, Salim. Hire four more dock workers and increase your own salary by half again. Does that answer your questions?"
"... yes, pasha"
"I am glad."

*The business suited man shook hands with teh foreman, who wiped his sweaty brow, looking a little confused, and then the three men turned to leave once more*

Iden's brow furrowed as he eavesdropped via his avatar. It made for interesting conversation, for one...and it meant he was on the right track. Either these were the men he was after, or he'd just found another operation to take down...a bit of stress relief, maybe?

Regardless, the ferret was one the trail of the men in an equally discreet fashion...which was to say, the rodent was acting like a rodent, and just happened to be following along out of sight and mind. Pause, sniff sniff, pause, scamper...the whole nine yards.

*Which was fine and dandy. The youth trailed behind the other two once again, scuffing his feet and seeming not much bothered by anything... until he suddenly darted forwards and grabbed Liela by the scruff of her neck and held her up to eye level*

I could bite your head off and give your boss a REAL headache, little one...
Mathieu?
You two wouldnt notice your own asses on fire if it wasnt for me.
Its... a rat.
No, its an anthmorphic personification of the astral perceptions of a non-linear extra-sensory endowed immortal.
....
Its a spy.
Its a RAT Mathieu!
....
Mathieu, please. I appreciate your skills and talents, but it IS just a rat. Put it down and lets get back on track, shall we?
As you wish, pasha.
Dont call me that.

*Liela was set back down, Mathieu petting her gently on the head and smiling faintly, then they returned to their car*
