Jack winced as he pictured Sawyer deciding now would be a nice time to go for a swim.
"I am sure you are right..."
Jack squeezed her hand back with a smile.
The caves were becoming fuller by the minute and people were buzzing around trying to get comfortable.

((oh man, I can just picture that. Sawyer getting french fried in a thunder storm. xd ))
Sun looked around and noticed the crowd swarming around the caves. The fire had gone out but that was inevitable. One of the survivors would eventually start another one. Everyone slowly began to settle in for the storm ahead. Sun was perfectly content right were she was, next to Jack. She laid her head on his shoulder and relaxed.
"I just hope the rain does not destroy my whole garden," Sun capitulated.
She looked up at the sky and the menacing clouds. The drops outside were getting heavier by the second and were sure to crush some of the more delicate plants.

Jack thought back to Sun's plants...it would be terrible if she had to start over, "I am sure they'll be fine...Plants are surviors you know...just like all of us..."

On their trek to the caves Sayid had insisted on carrying everything, allowing Shannon to only hold a bag of her clothing. The wind was pushing against her so that she had to hurry and sometimes grab onto Sayid's arm for support. He'd folded their 'bed' into the tarp and had it slung over his shoulder along with all of his papers and clothing which were in his backpack.
Shannon ignored the Nausea pushing at the back of her throat and smiled when Sayid's arm came to wrap around her waist and pull her on.

Sun smiled lightly. What a nice analogy for their situation.
"Even survivors sometimes end up broken, physically, mentally, spiritually..." Sun said lightly, more to herself than anyone else.
She lightly laid her head on Jack's shoulder and closed her eyes, reveling in the warmth his body radiated.
((That's right, I'm baaaack!))

Jack sighed and looked outside again, Kate and many of the others still haven't arrived yet, it was possible they decided to brave the weather out on the beach, or they we in the jungle somewhere...Jack tried his best not to worry about it and Sun sitting so close to him was a welcome distraction.

Sun felt Jack's body tense more with each second. It was in his nature to worry about the safety of others, but she wished that she could take some of that burden away. Unfortunately, Jack was a fiercely independent man that would never want to inflict that on her. Sun sighed wistfully and tried to find some words to comfort him that hadn't already been said.

Jack looked at Sun, "Is something wrong? Is it your foot? Are You cold?"
((It's really hard to "serious" RP when I am reading a web comic that is making me cry because I am laughing so hard... xd ))

Sun was marginally startled by Jack's sudden rapid fire succession of questions. She smiled and swatted him lightly.
"I am fine, Jack, really. Yes, my foot still does burn somewhat, but that is going to take more than a few hours to heal. I will be just fine," Sun replied warmly.
The storm around them was getting heavier and water was beginning to slowly stream by the outside of the cave opening. Sun wondered just how much of her garden really would survive.

Jack laughed at himself, he was really acting like a fool. He saw the expression on Suns face and could tell she was still worried about her plants. Maybe I should have went out when the rain was lighter and covered them with a tarp... Speaking of tarps he noticed a group of people were tying a tarp over one of the openings to try to keep some of the rain out.

Sun turned her head and looked at Jack quizzically, raising one eyebrow.
"Sorry for what, Jack?" Sun inquired. "There is nothing to apologize for. Stop your fussing!"
Sun laughed at his constant worrying. She wrapped one arm around Jack's waist and leaned against him, trying to draw on some of his stress so that Jack could feel free for once.

"I am just sorry about your plants..." Jack smiled.
Another crash survior stood infront of them, "Jack Can you help us get the tarp up...or are you busy?" She raised a brow.
"Oh I'll be right there" Jack quickly stood up and rushed to help them. He couldn't afford a rumor about Sun and him going around camp, and he knew Sun couldn't either.

Sun let go of Jack as he stood up and went to help with the tarp. She watched him work in the distance and drew from his strength. Sun put her feet up on the rock and wrapped her arms around her knees, drawing her legs to her chest. She hadn't been happier at any time before in her life that she could recall, so why did she suddenly feel like crying. Sun drew in a shaky breath, trying to keep her calm. Still, the emotions, which she couldn't discern from eachother, were rushing through her mind at a million miles a minute, just like her heartbeat, couldn't be suppressed. Sun allowed a few stray tears to run down her cheeks. She didn't even move to wipe them away, just let them flow. She supposed they were tears that had to be shed, otherwise she wouldn't want to cry.

(( surprised I am sure they weren't that bad! I'll draw your avi if you would like! Just PM me witht he outfit...I can draw you with a LOST guy if you want... ninja Erm...I drew the one in my sig where Edmund is carrying me and one where I am leaning on gambino... 3nodding ))
In a few minutes they had the tarp up and it was doing a great job of keeping the rain out. Jack stood there joking with a few others when he looked back at Sun. The unmistakable gleem of tears was running down her face. Jack left the group quietly, walked over to Sun, and knelt infront of her. "Whats wrong?"
