Today's my dad's birthday. Thought I'd try to call him to tell him happy birthday.. but no, he has his phone off. I thought I'd try after work, hoping since it's his birthday, it'd still be on.. Guess not. Left him a message.
Later going to bring my budgie to the vet. This weekend went googling to try to find another avian vet since the one at banfield is stupid and can't recognize a common illness. Hopefully this vet will be a little more intelligent about it all. Only minor concern is in calling for the appointment, the assistant person who answered had no clue what a budgie was and I had to say parakeet. neutral
Also going to drop off a resume while I'm there (would that be bad practice?) since I really need a job and a vet job of any sort sounds great. I just need something that makes money to get people to stop freaking complaining (and possibly get me insurance to see a mental health doctor to figure out how to handle my mental issues..).
My life is busy and full of nothing.

Fiddlers Green Being fit is it's own reward in many respects. Exhaustion and muscle failure work outs will work to improve stamina significantly, altho mayhaps not strength as much. What was your old lift capacity, if I might? Being as the requirement is to do as many pushups or situps in under 2 minutes, stamina works well in this case. Any time I ever measured, I was significantly younger, and it primarily dealt with 3 of the other people in my class getting on the platform we had for the leg press. The only reason why I didn't have more was because there wasn't more room on the platform. It was much younger, but hey, why not try for it now?

maenad nuri saint dreya maenad nuri huh. I'm almost upset that I'm not going to be a bridesmaid at my brothers wedding. I feel a little disappointed but oh well. Why aren't you going to be a bridesmaid? Wasn't asked. I always thought you tried to include family in the wedding party, but meh. I will live. Now I won't need to buy a dress and all that s**t. My sister was my Maid of Honor, my brother though ran the bar. He home brews and works for a small brewery in the area so he and his buddies ran all the alcohol for us. I'm only upset because my Mother has been on me to come down so she can get measurements for my dress, when my sister hasn't even said anything to me yet. I think I'm more upset with my Mother then my sister, mom just steamrolls over everyone and gets her way with everything. I barley got to make any decisions at all regarding my wedding. The only reason I got my ribbon ceremony is because the preacher thought it was neat. Up until the day of the wedding she was going on about how stupid it was.

I went to my first blot last weekend! It was much different than I thought it was going to be. Now I have to start writing a paper on it, Asatru in general, and magic and community in Asatru specifically. It'll be a good time biggrin

Well, damn. Actually went to a "Celtic" Handfasting that didn't try to explain everything, was genuine, not contrived, and displayed the humor of the couple.
...AND a good bagpiper (the groom is a member of the local bag-piping group)
