Hartley gave Teddy a patented 'one-eye squiniting, one-eye bugged out' stare. This was illiciting some strange emotions from him. No wonder Billy was so neurotic. How did you react if your boyfriend could suddenly swap his guy-bits for girl-bits?

Hartley shook his head clear. Outside, the audience was still counting down.

"FIVE.

FOUR.

THREE.

TWO-"

"Good luck! I'll try to think of something!" Hartley ducked behind the changing screen.

"ONE!!" Teddy emerged from the dressing rooms as "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor started to play. The crowd gasped in awe. Hartley, peeking one eye from behind the screen, was surprised to find that Dazzler wasn't looking at Cocoa or Teddy. She was looking right at him.

Hartley was an accomplished lip-reader. Being deaf for half of his life had given him that advantage. And right now, in her sound-proof prison, Dazzler was pleading with Hartley -

"Help me! There's no air in here!"

*Chris rolled over in bed, snorting. He slowly woke up and blinked blearily. Grunting, Chris staggered to the bathroom of the cabin. Lord, he hurt! All of his muscles were sore. A hot shower might be in order...and he'd have to start an exercise regimen or something. Something beyond the hand to hand training he had with Mr. Murdock or the Avengers training with Mr. Rogers.*

Blerg.

*Something moved outside the window's little bathroom.*

Huh?

*Chris pressed his face against the glass.*

*Chris stomped out of the bedroom, pulling on his coat.*

It's probably Wally trying to play a prank. Pretending to be that Logan guy or something. I'll go outside and he'll pretend to be the ghost of Logan and then jump out.

*Chris threw open the back door and stood out on the rear porch.*

Here I am! Come get me, speedboy!

Dani rolled over in her bed, she'd had a good night as the girls had stayed up all night talking about their day. Jen seemed like such a fun girl. No wonder Karen liked her so much!

She squints her eyes at the small rays of sunlight shining through the window, it was still too early for school, but she was refreshed, and really needing to use the bathroom.

After washing her hands she sneaks back into her warm bed, shivering a little, It was so cold! She'd lost her extra blanket, but looked across the room she saw Jen wasn't using the one on the edge of her bed.

"Jen? Jen you awake?" She whispered to her curled up in her bed. sweatdrop
"I'm cold..."

Hartley peeked onto the stage again. The crowd was getting a huge kick out of every movement, but it was clear that Cocoa Delight knew her stuff much better than Teddina. Hartley glanced up at Wallace. Wallace was enjoying this, probably as much ironically as genuinely. He didn't realize that this wasn't just a fun n' games drag tease...

Hartley tried to catch Wallace's eye. 'Dude,' he tried to project a thought at Wallace. 'Look down! Look at Dazzler!' But it just didn't work the same as coordinating to tease Billy. Wallace was the prize here. He wasn't a participant.

There was only one chance. Teddy had to create a big enough distraction to let Hartley run off the stage unnoticed and get to the DJ's booth...But Hartley had no way to let Teddy know that. And Teddy looked like a deer in the headlights out there. An enormously endowed, Karen-Starr-style-stacked deer.

*Chris's eyes widened when Cassie started in on him.*

How did you find out!? We were broken up and Dani told me she wasn't going to tell anyone when she stopped me from streaking the basketball game!

*He suddenly became distracted by movement in the trees just beyond the rear porch. A very faint snikt sound reached his ears.*

Huh? Wally doesn't go 'snikt.'

*When Chris was eight, he and his friends got a hold of some gory horror movies. They watched them all repeatedly. Slashface, Return of the Deadly Slashface, Never Go Back to Slashface Lake, and Deadly Slashface Lake Camp. The movies gave Chris horrible nightmares and it took a long time for him to get over those dreams.

So it was understandable that when a hairy man with claws extending from his hands came out of the trees, Chris forgot he was a superhero. He shrieked in terror and ran back into the cabin.*

Fortunately, the thing that Hartley absolutely wanted to happen most did happen. Teddy created a distraction without any communication needed.

Unfortunately, it was embarrassing and painful for Teddy. Taking a misstep, the heel of his shoe went off the stage, throwing him off balance and causing him to teeter precariously on the edge of the stage. "Oh shi---" was all he managed to get out before toppling off the stage and landing hard on a table on his bottom. There was a moment when the table took his weight followed by a moment when it didn't. The second moment was proceeded with a sickening crack and a look of complete horror on Teddy's face.

A series of hands reached to check for injuries (and other things much to his dismay) and to help him to his feet. He wobbled uncertainly, one of the heels totally busted, and looked around with confused eyes for any sign of Hartley. or Wallace. Or Steven, who hopefully didn't know it was him at all.

''AK!" She said in surprise, not a blanket not a blanket!

"Er uh... Jen?" She was about to gently lift her arm off when she realized, It was warm!! She loved warm! heart

Pondering her next actions for a moment, stressed she decided it was better to be warm with a friend then freezing alone.

Softly she snuggles closer to her friend, a small smile crossing her face, she then closed her eyes and fell back asleep. whee
