*The encouragement may not have been known, but definitly had its effects. Eecheb refused to look back, though it wasn't like he couldn't hear the wolf right behind him. The only problem was that once he got to the tower.... he'd have to slow down or even stop to be able to get inside. What then? The boy would have to think quickly as the base of the tower was now within his sights*

*He stayed right behind Eecheb, having enjoyed the merry little chase that had ensued after a single playful surprise attack. It wouldn't be long before they reached the tower and he wasn't planning to do anything else besides just following the scared boy through the Citadel. If anything, he might take a short nap at the base of the tower before worrying about what to do next*

*The tower had to be no more than fifty feet from Eecheb now, in his feverish pace. Now was the time to dicide, slow down, stop and become a snack or try to slip up the giant lump of fur with teeth, then manage to duck inside. One slip up and he'd be a snack, or at least he thought. Too bad he didn't have more time to plan this out, but it was now or never. Instead of running straight to the doors, Eecheb started to turn to the left... running around the tower. There still seemed to be pleanty of snow and ice around on the ground. Hopefully it would help the child to escape his nightmare on four legs*

Yuri blinked suddenly as his charm went off, alerting him to the presence of possible danger around the boy from earlier. He blinked as he sensed it out, his charm indicating that the boy was in no real danger, merely in a panicked state for some reason or other. He ignored the boy for several minutes, hoping the panic would die away, however it continued to grow steadily as Yuri sighed softly to himself. Remembering Sho and Thanatos' position, he took off in a blur, heading off to the citadel at top speed...

A few moments later, as the boy had begun to circle around the citadel, wolf still right behind him, Yuri arrived. He could kind of understand why the boy was so afraid, even if it was clear the wolf was only being playful. With a sigh he leapt down from his position on the rood and landed between the wolf and the boy, his tattered cloak billowing around him slightly as though to say the wolf would not pass him....

*Yuri had just put himself into an interesting position... Eecheb and the wolf were both running very fast... Yuri was a stationary object. Even if it tried to stop, the wolf would likely skid on the snow and ice... and pointed right at the tower doors, unless someone opened both sets of doors there would likely be damage. Not to mention if Yuri didn't move, he might be struck as well. There was also a chance the wolf might jump clear over Yuri, it had the ability to do that also. In anycase Eecheb would continue his rounding of the tower*

Orias had been repairing his lair and cleaning up the surrounding area for quite some time now, and it had given him some time to reflect on the past. After freezing over the last few bits of his new lair, he decided to go for a walk and find the one that was sending out all the annoying telepathic messages. He recognized who they were from.

"Well then...looks like I'll finally have another battle on my hands then."

He walked in the general direction of where the lifeform was, along the inside of the barrier, pulsing his bone-chilling aura in hopes that he would react to it.

"Orias... I've missed you, chilled demon of the shining wastes..." KB could recognise the feel of such temperatures anywhere, and it made him smile. He seemed to become rapidly disinterested in Otaku, instead turning his attention elsewhere. The demon had in the past declined his offer, taking a rather violent approach to KB and his prodigy. It seemed that now they were destined to block heads once more. Though the chill of undeath had left KB, the metal within surely wasn't all too warmer...

He was still silver-tongued, and Orias was lending him his ear.

Orias stopped walking once he was spoken to. He cocked a brow and responded telepathically.

"What the hell do you want now? I thought we were already clear that I didn't want to see you again. Did my attempt at killing you not make that clear the last time?"

He tapped his foot impatiently; his black cloak and long silver hair flowing in the wind. The ground beneath him seemed to freeze as he stood there.

Basaran snorts loudly through the secure line between him and KB. You could just the mech's urge to start slinging obscenities again, but over the com he refrained.

*the wolf completely ignored Yuri and went to jump over him like any other object in the way. Standing at 6 feet tall, it wouldn't be hard for the wolf to jump high enough and clear the cloak. If there was anything else that was going to stop the the wolf, it would have to happen fast or Yuri would have to get in the way again.*

Yuri growled softly as the wolf simply ignored him, leaping past in order to pursue the boy for further amusement. However, this would turn out to not be in the wolf's best interests. The ragged cloak which hung loosely about Yuri suddenly snaked out, seemingly with a mind of its own, and wrapped around the wolves hind legs, tangling them up and latching him in Yuri's grip securely. Yuri watched curiously as the wolf now moved past him, wondering if he'd be able to land that jump with only two legs not captured....

*Unless the cloak absorbed the momentum of the wolf or gave ground, Yuri wouldn't be on his feet much longer. As for tripping the wolf up, it was enough to stop him from continuing the chase and it did change the focus of his playfulness. Landing on all 4 paws even with the force of the cloak trying to keep them tangled, the wolf traveled a fair distance just sliding and trying to stop since his running had been inhibited. When he did stop, he turned and sniffed at the cloak around his hind legs, trying to figure out what manner of creature he was dealing with. Being big enough to bite a man nearly in half, it was a small wonder anyone would jump in his way to begin with.*

*Having not seen Yuri jump in the way to slow the wolf, Eecheb continued to circle the tower, like a bat out of hell. By this time he was probably about a quarter of the way around the building and had a way to go before reaching the doors again. If the boy had realized the wolf was no longer following due to Yuri's cape, he may have slown down. Oh how sweat escape would please the boy once he got inside*

Strangely enough, the cloak would merely seem to extend away from Yuri as the wolf skidded away, leaving Yuri to continue looking at the wolf boredly. His cloak by this point had grown to the point where it extended several meters around him in wispy tendrils, the ones around the wolf's legs still holding firm as Yuri watched it calmly. Seeing the wolf had now started to pay attention to him he smiled slightly. Yes, this wolf was bigger than he was, and quite impressive to boot. However, he had faced far larger creatures during his travels with minimum problems thanks to his new found powers. As such, he wasn't particularly intimidated by the wolf, no matter how big it was...

"Oh come now Orias, you're being quite rude. Hasn't rotting away in that fetid place taught you anything? I am eternal Orias, as you will be. Just as I promised you so long ago... don't make the mistake of denying me again. This winter will be a cold one... though were it not for my efforts you'd not have the touch of snow upon your shoulders."

KB seemed to be enjoying the cold references, as it suited the setting quite well. Though he doubted such a demon as Orias would be tempted by him and his angelic horde, KB hoped to unite all under his banner. Peace would come at the cost of blood, blood spilt from those who threatened his grand vision.
