Kishi was just belwildered at being pulled by his hand... no one had held his hand in .. well... it had been awhile! "I do not have buttons! And I have a feeling I'm going to know this town real well if you keep getting spurts of pent-up energy like this!"

Kai decided it was best to not to argue with the girl and fasten his pace to keep up with Franki. "Thank you," he spoke softly. He could not help but feel like a little kid needing other people to take him home 'safely'. This thought put a small smile on his face.

::sighs:: back to the politeness? ::shaking her head in mock sadness she says to Kishi:: we need to beat that outta the kid ::then tilts her head slighlty:: oooooh i know! is there a pond near here? we could dunk him! ::from the way she's saying it, it's obviously just her trying to get Kai to loosen up.... maybe::

Kai's eyes widen in fear at the thought of getting all wet in such a dirty place. "No, I'm sorry!...wait...no I'm not!...wait...what I mean is," he sighed as he hit himself at the side of his head. He could feel a headache coming on. Habits were so hard to break off, but he didn't want to upset his new friends.

Kishi grinned evily "We could dunk him.. that might be amusing! The beating sounds more appealing though... *thoughtfully* he needs to be tougher..." Though it was apparent that Kishi WASN'T joking or trying to lossen Kai up! Hey... sometimes the kids needed a little scare.

uh huh.... Kishi, no ::firmly:: you try laying hand on him with ill intent in mind and i'll dunk YOU in the nearest pond i can find and see if ravens can swim.... CAN they swim? ::curiously:: and Kai, i was kidding, i wouldn't dunk ya... not if you wouldn't find it fun

Kai got even more nervous at Kishi's threat. Was him being polite that annoying. This made the boy start to worry. He then decided it was best if he did not say anything further.

::her face lights up... and not in a good way:: let's find out how well ravens float.... oooh! and i've been meaning to ask, i remember you have wings in your guardian form too.... do they work? like, can you fly with them or are they just for show? ;;she gives Kai's shoulders a little sqeeze and says softly to him:: if being super polite comforts you don't let what anyone says disuade you, boyo.... keep it up, and don't change alright? just cuz we tease you about it doesn't mean we want you to change who you are... and if it really bugs ya, just say so and we'll stop

A small smile appeared on Kai's face from Franki's words. "No," he said shaking his head, "It doesn't bug me. But thank you." He looks down on the ground, watching his feet while he walks. "You all are really nice and I want to keep you as friends and would do anything for it."

He glared "NO! We are not finding out if ravens can swim! And yes I can use them normally.. thats how I brought Hyozan to Remmy's house." He wasn't going to comment on the just be comfortable with being yourself thing.. he never promised to lay off the kid!

::grins at Kishi but decides not to press the swim issue... yet...:: look, Kai, i for one would rather have a sickingly polite friend who's happy with who he is than a friend who changes himself to please others rather than himself.... if the friendship is real, it's not gonna break like glass when you drop it... might get a little dented ::teasngly:: but we're tough

Kai nodded along to Franki's words and waited until she was finish. "I understand that and it makes sense. I just don't want you think I'm annoying because I'm the way I am. I've been told that I am, before," he sighed out.

Kishi groaned "Well.. you are... at times that is. But if thats what you ar ethen you shouldn't be ashamed of it! Be proud that you can annoy people... it's a talent... a widespread one.. but a talent none-the-less.. and you should never be ashamed of your talents!

Kai stares at Kishi as he speaks. He was not sure if what the guardian just said should be taken as an insult or a compliment. The boy just remained silent with a confused look on his face.
