*Shin is assaulted by a rush of sand. He barely manages to keep the attack from being brutal.* Shin halves the damage and goes next.

Through the swirling sandy wind, Shin commands the sands and wind to form a gauntlet around his right hand. He sculpts a large blade at the very end before thrusting it into Kyo's eyes.

*Kage smirks from his position above a tree he fashioned himself. He had his notebook handy, taking notes and looking for things lacking or unbalanced* Hmm...

Kyo held out a hand, trying to command enough of the sand in Shin's blade to twist the blade around to stab Shin in the arm, hoping to force him back enough to regroup.

*Kyo can't manage to control the sand as it has been merged with wind energy. He is stabbed in his left eye and put through quite a bit of pain* Kyo takes a total of 9 damage. Shin goes again.

Taking a step back, Shin surges forward, launching the full gauntlet as one giant missile into Kyo's abdomen.

Falling back, Kyo tried to roll out of the way, his hand slamming the ground to summon a large spike, diagonally aimed to hopefully impale Shin just under the ribs.

Kyo:11+2MP+1L=14 Shin:13+2MP=1L=16
*Kyo's temporary blindness impairs his reflexes, causing him to take a projected gauntlet to the stomach, just short of him making his counteroffensive.* Kyo takes 9 damage for the failed reflect.
*Kage hops in and waves his arms at both fighters* This sparring is done. I think I've seen enough. Good matchup, can't have you two killing each other this early on...

Tides can turn like that like any good fight. The two of you have done well. *Kage escorts the fighters out of the dimension and back to the dojo, where Allen stands ready to heal the combatants*
You are both awarded 500MXP and 2 MSP for this system
as a bonus you are both awarded 5 style points for the classic system.
I urge you both to train and raise your magic power, it's the main force behind your attacks. Also, as my guinea pigs you could be of great help...

very well...guinea cat...heh
anyhow. Any input is appreciated. Did something feel lacking or unbalanced? I have plenty of plans for extra stuff for this system but there is no point if no one tries it and gives an opinion, ya know? What did you think and what might need to be changed?

I liked it really... it was good to fight without directly fighting... like controlling a puppet...
But right now I have to sleep... got class early...
