I swear these kids will be the death of me. Bubbles decided to flop out of her high chair while I as turned away for a second to get her food and face plant a chair. She's fine after a good hard cry and has a lovely bruise to show off, but I nearly had a heart attack. sweatdrop

Just freaking wow. I never thought I'd see it so blatantly.
There's a little corner store right by the church I teach karate at. I go the store almost after every workout to get a drink for the drive home. The family that owns the store are good people, in fact they bought outfits for the girls.
So a 7-11 has been built right across the street. They obviously needed on because the closest one was a whole half a mile away. Funny thing is the building that got tore down so that this 7-11 could be put up was in fact originally a 7-11 that failed miserably and went out of business.
However since the old one went under the building got sold, a new housing developemtn has been built right in the area. That and interesting road has been extented to go straight to the nearby ampitheater. This new store also sells gas, and here's where it gets crazy.
Current gas prices here are $2.89 per gallon. Well, Mike was doing a promotion to advertise that his store now serving fresh pizza by the slice and lowered his price to $2.88 per gallon. A price war ensued and by the time I got to the church in the evening the prices were $2.48 per gallon. The lowest gas prices in the country as reported by the news. It was a clear cut case of 7-11 trying to beat out a little mom and pop store.
So, I'll be boycotting 7-11s for the foreseeable future. It'll definately be a cold day in hell before i set foot in the one trying to put my friends out of business.

Miguel OHara Jaeger, why are you invisible? And is it wrong of me to be playing practical jokes on my ex gf? I guess that depends on the joke. Update to the gas wars. The owner of the 7-11 called the city on the mom and pop store. The reason: the mom and pop store has free coffee in the morning, and a sign in the window advertising this. They've had free coffee in the morning long before they 7-11 was even under construction. The city of course told the 7-11 owner that there was nothing to be done.
