Ren and Kristal, having been left with Horo and Hao, had to wander through the fair aimlessly, looking for their friends. Kristal had seen several things that she thought were cool, but didn't dare to bring them up. Her needs were always last on her list, and what would Hao do if she just left him limping on his own to go play any of the games.

"Don't worry, Kristal..." Hao panted, flashing a smile at her as if he had just read her mind. "I-I;m not in that bad shape..."

"Dude, don't even joke." Horo scolded Hao, walking next to Ren who was seriously wishing that the others hadn't left him alone with the silent girl, the annoying Ainu, and that pyromaniac. "You threw up pretty badly back there, and I'm taking full responsibility!"

"That's odd of you." Ren remarked, grumbling out his answer as he charged ahead. Luckily, he saw Faust ahead with Netsubo and Shizuka. Where Lyserg was, he didn't care at the moment. "Oh, Faust, Netsubo, Shizuka. I'm glad we aren't left here alone after all..."

Kristal drew in a sharp breath. There was something wrong with Shizuka's aura, that was normally healthy. It had somehow turned pure ice blue. Hao noticed as well, and his tight on Kristal's shoulder tightened.

Kristal becked up behind Ren and Horo a little, the voice of her spirit racing quickly through her mind.

'It's one of them! They were the ones who tipped those humans off!' It spoke harshly, just as she expected him to. 'We can't kill it though...it has already bonded to this human...'

"Her name is Shizuka, and she's one of my new friends." Kristal muttered quietly to her spirit, smiling a little. "I can try to help..."

"What are you talking about?" Ren asked her, turning around to see her and Hao behind them as if wanting the two slightly older shamans. "Why are you behind us?"

Horo laughed and patted Ren on the back, smiling at Faust as well. "Ah, I knew you guys left without us! Oh, and Ren, chill, 'kay?"

"I will not!!" Ren growled at Horo loudly. He turned to Hao and Kristal and pointed severely at Kristal. "And you, stop being timid!!"

"Ha-hai!!" Kristal straightened up, then bowed to Ren. "C-come on, Hao-san..."

"Wait..." Hao panted, looking severley at Shizuka. "You...you've changed...grown stronger...and can talk now..."

"Netsubo-san..." Kristal stepped forward, handing Hao over to lean on Horo. "You shouldn't use that too much..." She warned, nodding to the blood crystal (I think it was) that was in Netsubo's hands. "You should try to utilize the spirit energy with the water and air, not forgetting that fire and earth heal well as well..."

'Oh geez...' A spirit sighed at her, materializing in front of them with a smirk. His spiky red hair was covering his eyes so that no one could see them. 'Kristal, have you forgotten that your powers are as unique as Netsubo's are to her?'

Ren stared at the boy of about nine, who was wearing a ragged black shirt and ragged black pants with chains all across his body decoratively, and thought that he recognized this figure. But he couldn't. After all, he had never met him before...right?

"WAH!!" Horo yelped at the spirit's appearance. "Who-who is that??"

((argh, doesn't feel like writing any more than that.))

Kristal, a little tired of being ignored, thrust her arm out to her side, a slightly angry expression on her face. A sudden wind picked up and knocked the knife out of Netsubo's hand.

"I didn't want to do this..." Kristal sighed, shaking her head sadly. "But Netsubo-san, please, loook closely. Shizuka-san is not physically hurt, and therefore would not require your healing. This type of would is directly at her life, and it needs to be healed from the spirit that has embeded itself into her."

'She won't listen...' The boy warned his shaman, rolling his pitch ivory black eyes, now viewable, at the girl. 'She's the type who thinks that they only know the right way.'

Kristal sighed. She was sorry, but even if that is what the healing did, and even if it kind of was worth the hurt to use it, she didn't want her new friend to hurt herself. "I'm sorry..." She apologized, bowing deeply to Netsubo. The impression that she was going to get hurt was still there. "I...I was just...and...gomen...I just wanted to help..."

The boy looked at his shaman, then at Netsubo, and sighed, again. 'You are both very stubborn...' He pointed out, starting to disappate. 'And onee-chan, you shouldn't be one to preach, always with yo-'

Kristal pushed the spirit into a bottle and shoved it into her pocket. She was blushing a little fomr embarressment, and that was all her spirit's fault.

"Anyways, I'm really sorry, Netsubo-san..." She smiled a little, trying to make up with her. She just wanted to get along with her, it had been so long since she could actually be acepted by other humans. "But please, try not to harm yourself...all you need to do is a mind scan, right?"

((here!! Spirit: and Kristal: ^w^ I'm so proud!))

"I wish that there was something I could do..." murmered Faust. "But if it's a curse, or a spell... that's really beyond my expertise."
