"i was just making sure you are not going to get hurt like me and lyon."

Soren, upon withdrawing into his room, saw the grey dog was still following him about.
"You're persistent," he said as the creature raced into the room. He shut the door and locked it, then tossed the key rather messily onto the table. His mind was in a disturbed state and there was no more he desired to do. He wouldn't be able to concentrate well enough to read either of his tomes. Wandering over to the plain white bed, Soren lifted his Fire tome and placed both on the table where the key was.
Soren climbed into bed, slipped out of his sandals, and pulled the brown blanket over him. The puppy leapt up and panted at the back of his head.
"Go to sleep," he mumbled exhaustedly. The dog simply sat there, hoping to play with him more. For the following several minutes he turned and shifted, attempting to find a comfortable position to sleep. Eventually he settling for curling up tightly, his arms drawn into his chest and knees drawn into his stomach. His mind finally found sleep.

He stood, staring at the woman with a stunned face and shocked mind. There couldn't be a way that she was the same. She stared at the red mark on his forehead, her fiery lance nearly slipping from her grasp.
He took no time to gaze dumbly any farther. He thrust his arm out, shouted a spell that he could not remember, and a cloud of fire engulfed the woman. She was still standing. Her wounds, clearly visible on her moon-pale skin, were spots of black and red. She angrily glared back in return and lifted her lance, then stabbed it in his direction. She was too far to land a blow on him. Yet where he stood came an eruption of fire, and he collapsed in the fury of the flames, his body pulsing with pain.
The woman pointed her lance at him.
"We're both the same!" she cried wildly. "How can we be on different sides?"

"...not like you..." Soren growled in his slumber, writhing with unusual force. The puppy lay at the far side of his bed, asleep, feeling none of his movements.

Ike brandished his blade and its silver steel flashed in the light of the sun. Soren pulled his eyes away, blinded by this accursed flash, and the last thing he heard was Petrine's scream. She succumbed to death. When he glanced back, he saw her shuddering on the ground like a frightened child.
"N-no...I don't want to die here...I'm s-scared...help...m..."
She fell, and that was the moment they claimed victory.
Soren watched as Commander Ike rushed into the fortress to seize it. The enemy soldiers scattered, realizing that their own commander had fallen and that they were at a loss. The battle was over. He glanced down to the back of his hand, which was etched in several cuts, and when he glanced up, they were no longer in the fight against Petrine.
He stood behind Titania, watching Ike combat the maddened king of Daein, Ashnard...

Soren shuddered. Something cold had brushed against him -- something bitterly cold. He jerked awake with nothing more than sleep on his face. The door was just a bit open. He glanced around to see that the dog was gone.
He reasoned with himself that he had either forgotten to lock the door, or that he did not lock it properly.
Too tired to be able to consider a thief unlocking the door, Soren toppled out and landed with a thud on the ground, the blanket following him in a tumble. He winced, paid no less nor more mind to it, and groggily pushed himself up. The puppy was not his problem. He uneasily wandered to the door, closed it, and locked it once more. Soren then turned and ambled back to his bed, slowly climbed in, leaned over the edge to retrieve the blanket, and wrapped himself within it.
He closed his eyes, still drowsy. Thus he was quick to fall asleep.

He was a small, unimportant thing wandering the tall hallways of some dark abode. With his head cautiously and fearfully lowered he explored this place. He followed the sounds of a voice crying out of the darkness, billowing and dripping with hate and despicable sorrow.
The child poked his head through the gap in an open door, watching his mother in her chair with wide and red eyes. She didn't notice. She would never notice. She didn't even act as though he was human.
Because he wasn't... He was...only...

He was biting his pillow savagely, as though in an unconscious attempt to release his own rage and sadness to something he wouldn't care about. Soren was asleep after all.

The pillow fell off the bed after Soren had left it with several tears. He didn't realize he was acting so strangely in his sleep.
He thrust himself aside, clutching his torso where his heart was, with a wince crossing his face. "Mo -- ther -- stop -- " He tightened into a smaller position, hardened his grip on his chest. His hand flew to his forehead and he spun to the other side, his expression relaxing into a strange bliss.

Sothe had reason to regret this. Soren, startled by the voice, jerked awake and was thrown out of bed. Upon hitting the ground he quickly scrambled back onto his feet, nimbly thrusting his hand out and screaming, "Incidere hostes hostium, ventus inter mihi!" It was long, yet it was swiftly said, and the air around Sothe began to violently shift. The puppy began barking in fright. Immediately, Soren saw that it was only Sothe, and he was quick to calm. The winds stopped.
"Sothe, I-I...I...I'm sorry..." he stammered rather shakily. "I...didn't..."

Soren noticed Haar walk in. He couldn't think of anything else to say, especially in his shocked state of drowsiness and fright. It was evident in his even paler face. The sage collapsed onto his bed, sitting with his face in his eyes in order to regain composure. He closed his eyes, concentrated, and tried to think.
The puppy ceased its barking and trotted up to him, wagging its tail and panting at him.
Soren heard the dog. Instead of dismissing it however, he looked down and rubbed its furry head.

Lyon wakes up in the pitch black room, he wondered when he had even dozed off. He didnt remember what had happened. He realized no one was there, where did they go? He pulled himself up, out of the bed, but then his side starting to sting, and he sat back down, he pulled a little side of his shirt back up, and realized a large wound there, with blood showing through. He put his shirt back down, and sighed. Now i remember, i was hurt when i got in a fight with that laguz. He thought, then realized the laguz staring at him, in the side of the room. He yelled, in suprise, but then realized the cat came up to him, and purred. It wasnt attacking him... " Good kitty..... " Lyon said quietly, and the laguz continued to purr. He then layed himself back down on the bed, he wasnt tired, he just couldnt move around on his own quite yet. " where is everyone?.. " he asked himself.

Soren held the puppy in his arms.
"What? Do you want me to name you?" he asked as the creature started licking his face. "Do you ever tire of bothering me like this?" He rubbed its head vigorously with his hand, in an attempt to get it to stop licking him. The dog simply went back to chewing on his sleeve.
He looked at Haar, who had left for someone named Lyon, and then glanced at Sothe.
