iPink was panting hard as she tried to evade the attacks; around her, trees and mushrooms and other things were being snapped up, and destroyed. Adrenaline was really the only thing that kept her going, as she thought that her heart might burst.

It wasn't long before she found the end of the forest, and once she was out, the Jabberwocky stopped chasing after her. The forest was quiet and still again, but there was no way she was returning anytime soon.

[Enter] JK's vision blurred, and when it finally cleared, he realized he didn't know where he was. Some path in the Tulgey Woods, and around him small creatures fled down the path. That... looked ominous. He started to follow them, figuring they were the equivalent of rats on a sinking ship.
He had no idea.
He glance over his shoulder to see if he could see what was causing the ground to shake behind him, and it was rightinfrontofhim!
SNAP
JK stumbled away from the blow, recovered, and sprinted down the path! Too much, far too much!
Another n** at his backside underscored the danger he was in!

Sprinting as fast as possibly could, JK managed to outrun the monster by a short margin. He could still hear and feel the monstrous things' footsteps reverberating through the Woods. He couldn't afford to slow down.
And then he heard her.
"Johan Klarstein! Turn around this instant!" his Mom demanded, her voice, thick with disapproval, sounded behind him. JK nearly fell flat on his face right there. There was absolutely no disobeying that tone! JK turned around.

Okay, okay, he'd managed to put some breathing space between him and monster. JK thought frantically over what had happened. He had already been running from the monster, and then he'd heard him Mom, and he'd turned around, and...
He distinctly remembered seeing teeth, and then seeing the path right after that. Had the monster killed him? If he died, he was respawned, and went through the whole scenario again?!
So, he could potentially repeat this sadistic game infinitely if he didn't win?!
Almost as if on cue, he heard someone. He didn't even recognize the voice, but what it said instantly had his attention.
"I hear you're looking for books on Hexes and Curses from the Human World? I've got a lovely set right here, pristine condition. Why don't you take a look?"
JK was severely tempted to look back, but remembering what had happened last time, and what he'd gone through in the Caterpillar's Den, he kept moving forward.

When he came to a fork in the path, JK took the right path. He was quick enough to pick up a health potion at the end, and breathed a little easier without his pocket card dinging a warning at him every second.

The monster seemed to go berserk as JK entered a new section of the Woods. He supposed it might mean he was close to escaping, but damnable thing's head was everywhere!
Panting hoarsely, JK kept running, trying to dodge the attacks.

Chase - Part 1
Ripley - or rather, OrNot - wasn't entirely sure how he ended up back in Tulgey woods again, but he wasn't about to complain. He had some pretty good memories from this place, and didn't entirely mind being here again.
What was a surprise though, was the strange snap - and the sudden pain that followed. He did what any sane person would: he ran.

Just a little farther! The beast behind him seemed desperate to keep him from escaping, but somehow JK kept ahead of its thunderous footsteps. The head was much, much harder to dodge.
He watched as it took out an entire ahead of him. As he vaulted over the fallen plant, he distinctly heard it mutter beneath him.
"How rude!"

The sound of crashing trees slowly faded behind JK. The monster was going another direction! He didn't dare stop, though. Not until light filtered into the Woods again, and the only sound was his own ragged breathing.
He sat down to rest against a tree, ignoring its protests, and waited for his heart to return to his chest from his throat.
"I- I think I beat the quest. Oh, thank Jack."
It still took him quite awhile before he didn't jump at every little sound.
