Lady Aryana of the Seelie

Lark sighed and laid down, gently fingering his hair, still coming to terms with the fact he was alive and she had been lied, she knew it would be awhile before she could accept, that her world had once again changed around her but she was comforted by his presence and happy she was with him, but still she was sad. First, she had once again gotten Devon hurt, worse than last time. Second her entire life was a lie and Devon was the only true thing in her now small world. Lark feared that once her friends in the pack found out they would hate and reject her, the same fear applied to Devon and his parents and she would be truly alone. "It's not just that I got you hurt again. Besides you shouldn't have to comfort me, I should be comforting you, but I don't know how." Lark told him before she started to cry again from all the thins that weighed heavy on her heart.

Devon looked at the ceiling then down at her. "Lark. I got hurt because I decided to fight for you. Because I wanted to save you. It was my decision to come and the only fault lies with those that took you," he said. "Just relax and heal. The only comfort I need is know you are here beside me."

Lark didn't look convinced but she didn't want to argue with him when he was injured least she make him aggravate his injury, which she still felt she caused. laying down by his side she tried to relax but couldn't. "Devon could sing to me please as long as it don't hurt to do so." She asked him in a small voice.

Devon studied her face in silence for a few more minutes. "Of course." He complied, but added another comment before he started. "Lark, I'll be with you through everything. Every thing will workout I promise."
Slowly he began to hum her tune, trying to calm the turmoil of her thoughts. At least for now.

Lark shook her head unable to see a positive in her now daunting situation because she knew this wouldn't be something they could face together she would have to deal with it alone. As he begun to sing her song it worked like it always had and she relaxed even more and went back to sleep.

As the time past, those wolves resting stirred. Pack gathering to leave for home and mourn those lost. They did not say good-bye. There was no need to. They would convene again at a later time.

Sheryl and her husband stayed guarding the humans they saved. Sheryl was careful, making sure they were undisturbed as they got rest they deserved and comfort as they woke up periodically, terrified they were still in faerie.

Kila was outside, staring at the ever rising sun bleakly.

The couple who where interested in finding out about more about Lark woke up among the early risers and as the she wolf made her rounds with the humans they pulled her aside and began to ask about the strawberry brown haired girl.

Fredrick woke up and began to look for Kila for reasons unknown to him. He found her outside watching the sun rise. "What are you doing out her it's cold." Even though it doesn't bother him he assumed it did her

Sheryl looked at the couple. "We found Lark a couple of months ago. Her name is Lark Glass. She's engaged to our Alpha." she answered truthfully. "Why?" she said, curious.

Kila shook her head. "It don't matter. I figured I enjoy today while I could." she said, blankly. She was sitting with the blanket over her legs. "I won't be around much longer.

The woman looked like she was about to faint while the man who was clearly her husband spoke. "That's our daughter."

Fredrick looked at her with his head tilted to the side he didn't want her to go. "Why? I thought you wanted to help them?" He was speaking about the humans from fairy.

Sheryl's eyes widened in surprise. "You are her parents?" she said, stunned that they were still alive.

The woman nodded, eyes blurred with tear. "I am Alice. That's my little girl." she said. She leaned against her husband. "I'm so glad she is safe." Her relief was permeable.

Kila hesitated before pulling back the blank and lifting up her pants leg. It looked like she had some kind of blood poisoning. The vein were dark and noticeable.
"I don't think Tatiana wanted any more loose ends left. I guess she did more than bind my legs when you came." She covered them back up wincing.
I'm not strong enough to stop it. I won't be much use to anyone at this rate."

Fredrick growled at the sight. "All the more reason for you to stay and stop running and stay." He told her before leading her back inside the safe house, and back to the cot she came from. "Rest, we'll figure this out."

"Yes we are but she doesn't even know who we are." Lark's father said comforting his wife.

Sheryl placed a hand on there shoulders. "When she wakes up, I think you should meet her," she suggested. "But for now, try to calm yourself. " she said gently.
She saw Fred go by leading a stumbling Kila. He left her on a cot, looking agitated. "Fredrick. What is going on?"

Kila allowed him to take her inside. She really didn't believe there was anything they could do. She lay on the cot, grimacing as the pain of that poison moved farther up her legs.

"Seems like Tatiana left us with a thank you note." Fredrick said coming over to Sheryl eying the human couple that she was talking too. "Kila's been poisoned." He said in a ton similar to Devon's

Sheryl looked over at the girl then back at Frederick understanding dawning on her. Her face grew grim.
"Come with me. I need to change Devon' s bandages. We can discuss it with him." She said already moving, stopping only to make Kila more comfortable.

Devon was awakened by someone shaking him. He opened his eyes annoyed at being awakened. It was Sheryl so he pushed the irritation down. Carefully he sat up, trying not to wake Lark.
"Changing these?" he asked, gesturing to the bandages.

Sheryl nodded. "And there is something else." She worked carefully and filled him in.

Lark's wasn't interrupted when Devon's was in fact she slept on in one of her very deep sleeps only sighing in her sleep now and again.

Fredrick stood off to the side shifting from foot to foot in an nervous manner as Sheryl and Devon talked only commenting once or twice.
