 ~~~With a bemused expression on his cunning face, Nikolai watched as Chastity grumpily sat at a light pink table across from Aysun. Aysun was comfortable dressing as a boy again, but he still had his girly sides, and that included tea parties. And now he had a friend - even if Uncle Nikki forced him to - to play with him! Nikolai grinned as he watched Chastity fidget with the white dress he was forced to garner. He didn't understand why, and all Aysun said was that it was proper etiquette. He hated it, and it was clear on his face, but that was why Nikolai loved it so much. Perhaps it was just refreshing to see someone openly hate him. Ever since his blackout massacre supernatural people spoke to him with a very tense air. He didn't blame them. However, he didn't go about his daily life completely free from it. He was aware that people wanted him gone in both Heaven and Hell, they were just more careful about where they talked about it and to whom. Then there was here, Earth. Why, earlier today he had just gotten out of a meeting with a very angry parent that demanded he resign because of his "barbaric" teaching methods. Now wasn't that cute?
Leon Court The front door creaked open and shut loudly, boots being tossed onto the floor. Leon could be heard sighing as he placed his briefcase down, and although he could hear his family, he didn't go towards them. Instead, Leon's feet thudded quietly all the way to his bedroom, where he shut himself into the bathroom and locked the door. It was another thirty minutes before he came out, freshly showered and a little more relaxed, although his clothes from before were nowhere to be found. After putting on a fresh outfit, the teacher finally joined his family, leaning on the doorway with a cocked eyebrow. " Chastity, don't you look... dashing?" He held back a laugh, pursing his lips together in an attempt to not burst out laughing.
  Chastity only sneered at him. " Isn't it pretty?[/violet]" asked Aysun with a bright smile on his face when he grabbed the back of his seat to see his uncle. "I picked it out myself! No help at all from Uncle Nikki this time!" he said with such pride in his loud voice. "Oh my, yes." nodded Nikolai as he leaned back to grin lazily at Leon. "He's becoming quite the fashionista, isn't he?" He scooted to the side of Aysun's small bad and pat the free space for his husband to sit. This was the... twentieth time? No, that was too high. Or was it? He had lost count. But it wasn't the first time Leon strayed from his usual path. Lately when he'd get home he'd go straight to the bedroom and would dispose of his clothes. Where he put them or got replacements Nikolai didn't know, nor did he know why this was happening in the first place. At first he assumed it was just a rough few days, understandable since Leon's soul had been under intense pressure on whether to be outside or inside a body. But now... now something didn't settle right with the Sin.
Leon Court " I'm proud of you! Your uncle must've really taught you well." He leaned down to kiss Aysun's head before moving to sit beside Nikolai, crossing his arms and his legs. He watched the two play, his eyes drifting to the Virtue every now and again. He still felt so awful about how things had happened with the boy. Glancing over to Nikolai, he leaned over a bit and lowered his voice. " So Kiyaka told me that you got into a bit of trouble today with a parent," he started. " Fortunately, I managed to catch them before they left, sort things out. There shouldn't be a problem anymore." He sat back upright, reaching for a small tea cup and holding it up so Aysun could pour him some "tea".
  " Oh my, yes." said Nikolai as Aysun poured Leon some tea (It was chocolate milk - all he knew how to make besides hot chocolate and occasionally, coffee for Uncle Nikki). " Parents would rather let reality TV and, Hollywood movies teach their children how sex works. As much as I love Lust darling, his work is awful. Besides, I do show them films." He glanced at Leon when he mentioned talking to the parent. " You didn't have to do that, darling. Nothing he says could get me fire - I'm technically not even hired. Even then, there'll be plenty of parents wanting to find an excuse for me to leave. Why, I wouldn't be surprised to see a line at my door tomorrow. I'll admit I'm impressed with their determination, though." he smirked to himself before looking back at Leon. " Thank you anyway, dearie." he said and gave him a quick peck.
Leon Court Lifting the tea cup to his lips, Leon took a short sip before lowering the cup, smiling a little at the peck. He shrugged, looking down at his lap. " Then I supposed I'll have to talk to each and every person in the line. I hate it when people campaign to get rid of you. It happens every year and it's starting to become irritating. They've started even calling my office phone in an attempt to talk me into getting you to quit, as though my position as your husband makes me in charge of you, and some in the same breath even try to talk me into divorcing you because "gay marriage is a sin". How'd they even find out we were married?" He shook his head, eyes looking at his hands. Spying a reddish smudge under his right thumbnail, he covered his thumb with his other hand while simultaneously looking up at Nikolai. " One day, people are going to stop messing with us, right?" he asked hopefully.
  " I don't think so, no." replied the Sin bluntly, unaware of the smudge. He turned his head away from the children to smile sleepily at Leon once again. " If it's anything like people trying to get me to quit, you'll be used to it fairly fast. It gets quite entertaining hearing their excuses sometimes. Especially the sin part, that's always my favorite to hear."
Leon Court " Is it so bad to wish for peace?" he grumbled, finishing off the "tea" and setting the cup back on the table. He stood up, ruffling Aysun's hair before starting towards the door. " I'm going to start dinner. Chastity, are you staying?" he asked over his shoulder as he faced the door, raising his tumb to his mouth and attempting to wet the smudge in order to work it out from under his nail.
  Aysun's eyes lit up excitedly at the thought of his best friend staying for dinner, and before Chastity could refuse Aysun spouted, " Ooh! Ooh! Can he??" " Of course he can, dearie." grinned Nikolai, whose smile deepened at Chastity's dismay. " And he will." Unable to complain, the Virtue crossed his arms and pressed his tongue against his cheek as he angrily looked away, ignoring Aysun's cheers. Nikolai snickered then glanced up at Leon just in time to see him... biting his nail? Dear me, what an awful habit to pick up, he thought. Speaking of... why on earth would Leon pick up a new habit like that? The Sin's eyes narrowed suspiciously. " Aysun darling, help your friend into clothes for dinner. I'll help your Uncle Leon with dinner." The fact that he said he'd help do something that involved making food was already a bad sign. Even Aysun knew that.
Leon Court Shaking his head, Leon walked into the kitchen, managing to wiggle out the remaining dried blood before getting there. He quickly washed his hands, washing away the evidence, then turned to face Nikolai while drying his hands on a dishtowel. " You're going to help me?" he asked, already suspicious. " What's going on? You only ever help when something's up." Tossing the dishtowel onto the rack, his crossed his arms and leaned against the sink, his defenses up and prepared to lie.
  Instead of answering him, however, Nikolai strode over to him and grabbed his hands, gazing down at them intensely. No bitten nails. Nikolai pursed his lips then looked up at his husband's face. " You've been acting quite strange lately. Is everything all right, dearie?" he finally asked.
Leon Court Leon stood still in confusion, his gaze following Nikolai's. " Why do you ask?" he responded, pulling his hands away abruptly. He didn't appreciate his husband asking too many questions, at least not now. " Everything's fine, I just have a lot on my plate. We all do, especially now. At any rate, you should be getting ready to go. Mel's funeral is tomorrow, and we promised to get there early." He turned and walked over to the pantry, starting to pull out what they needed for dinner.
  Nikolai hesitated at Leon's reminder. That's right, Melody Shell. It seemed like forever since he had been in contact with her. She was happy, with a loving boyfriend and a child on the way. Then she died. Nikolai glanced away, crestfallen. Such a shame. Perhaps he'd see her in Heaven, though. " Yes... Yes, I suppose you're right." he murmured and walked off without questioning Leon further.
Leon Court He hated to use such a tragedy to his advantage, but Leon needed to keep his husband off the trail he was sniffing down. There was so much at stake at all times, they two were almost always fighting just to exist together. He had to keep Nikolai at bay, at least for now. In due time, everything would turn out alright. He just needed a little more time. The next morning, Leon sneaked out of bed before the sun rose. He glanced to his sleeping partner for a second, then moved away from the bed. He stepped as carefully as he could, dressing simply before walking out of the bedroom. He crept down the stairs, stepping into his boots and walking out the front door. Leon kept looking behind himself, double-checking every step before grabbing a small bag from behind a stone. He then turned and walked out back, walking for almost twenty minutes before coming across a small wooded area. There was an old firepit, one that he tossed the bag onto. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small bottle of lighter fluid, doused the bag, then grabbed a lighter and set the blaze. He stood still, watching the evidence burn away. This was it, this was keeping his family safe.
 There was a cool breeze that brushed behind Leon before a presence could be felt. " You can burn as much as you want, but erasing it is more complicated than that." said a voice from behind the teacher. Standing calmly behind him was a man in a silver mask, his frost blue eyes calm and warm, far from threatened or suspicious. He crossed his arms behind his back as he continued gazing down at the paranoid man. " You've been quite busy with your new life." he commented.
