You're right Dragon... It is big, pink and fluffy, but what on earth is it!? gonk Bam - I think it'd look more authentic if you changed the face to match Homer's. Giving him boggle eyes and small round ears will add much to the edit. You might also want to give him a box of donuts. If you're up to a challenge, consider putting some cartoon shading on him like in this pic: BTW. why not do more OCs? That one you've just done is much improved on your previous stuff. Well done. 3nodding

TheQualityofMercy strangeoid The Mad Hatter -
*Loves you viciously* That is the single most bitching shade of green I have ever seen on an edit! Hot damn I want to make that outfit!! Oooh!! Could I!?! Would you, could you, let me use your delicious pattern!?! *Paws at your leg* Please, oh most esteemed gorgeousness that is Miss Strangeoid?? Teehee! I'm so glad y'all like it - of course you can use the outfit, minion. wink

shocktv3 hmm well, i dont really see anything wrong with using pre-existing gaian items as a part of our edits...
i feel that if something we're making already has parts available in the stores (especially if it already looks good), then we're free to use it. recreating it from scratch is just another option available if we're unhappy with its looks. otherwise, theres no need to make things more difficult for ourselves.
that said, i know some of remain purists, and can only accept original works.. but keep in mind that what we make here are ultimately gaian avatars, that we start from the gaian bases made available to the site wink Actually I think using gaian items as a base is fine, as long as its in moderation. I was really bad at hands and feet when I started editing so I would look for boots and gloves I could use from the stores. As I got better I wanted to do my own clothing more, so I used less and less store items. I think it has been a while since I have.

i see nothing wrong with using a gaian item as a base, but if you're just dressing them, and not modifying the item, then what's the point of editing at all?
because i use paint, i tend to use the gaian items for counts, ie. if i'm doing shoes, and i screw up the size or style, i'll just copy and paste a naked edit into my screen, blow up the feet, then make what i have match the size pixel for pixel and try again

bam_margera6 ok i made a bart simpson, i screwed up on the hair a little bit! one of the keys to simpson's characters is the long nose, try to work that in, another thing to consider is bart's head, it has a cylindrical shape, so it will look really square and forced unless it's shaded on the sides edit: and consider vorty's advice from the homer edit, your simpson's characters will look so much better with round, buggy eyes
