Jae listened quietly, knowing that the Hokage's speech was supposed to be inspirational. It was supposed to motivate them and light the fire that was inside of them but she didn't feel anything. She stood there, digesting his words before smiling, her expression somewhat crestfallen, not that she held that expression for long. She quickly put up her guard, her irritating cheer keeping strangers complacent. After hearing the obvious cue to be on their way, she nodded, more to herself and turned to go. She briefly spotted Noctis, his arm around one of the Kunoichi's who had been on the mission against Jack. Jae would have teased Noctis, having finally put a face to the ladies apartment earlier but didn't. Instead she headed out. Time to test out the techniques she had learned.

Hitomi entered the academy and momentarily looked upon many familiar faces before her gaze fell upon the Hokage. Just as she had arrived and stood towards the back of the crowd, he began to speak. She listened intently before relaxing her shoulders, as if a weight or burden had been lifted. She sensed his weariness as he gazed upon them, but his words seemed to confirm something within her, something she had doubted, and the man's words slowly mended the mental wounds caused by her fear and doubt. With a much more sincerely peaceful and happy smile, Hitomi turned to Matsu and bowed slightly, still grinning. She was glad that this wasn't one of her fake smiles, but rather one that reflected her thanks and gratitude. "Well, this is where we part, sadly. But! I'm sure we'll see each other another time. It was a fun spar, goodbye." Hitomi waved before walking away from them all and into a secluded room to begin her training. She didn't greet anyone on her way, as she was too lost in thought about techniques and strategies that she had yet to master. However, she tried to not let her disappointment show. Truth be told, the girl would much rather be heading to the festival with him rather than spend her time training, but duty aways came before entertainment with her. With a sigh, she entered an empty training room and headed to a stack of scrolls, flipping through them before choosing specific ones and taking them out to study.

After a few moments of silent reading, Hitomi put down the scrolls and sat cross-legged on the wooden floor, her eyes closed at hands clasped in the shitsuji hand sign. Meditation was the most ideal thing to begin with, so she would begin by training her chakra before anything else. Hitomi began by focusing on the speed the chakra was being streamed through her tenketsu and tried to adjust it to a more calm, slow pace.

When she was sufficiently relaxed and focused, Hitomi gently led her chakra to specific points of her body such as the fingertips, in order to practice and exhibit higher control. With more insistent pushing, the chakra slowly clustered around her fingertips, making them glow a dull grey with specks of red. The girl bit her lip and sighed. Yes, it was definitely time for another round of meditation. With more concentration, she once again worked on sending the chakra to her hands before holding it there.

For a short moment, triumph shot through her before disappointment settled in once more. The chakra would obey and stay at a specific point, but then it was as if she lost her grip on it and let it scatter back. Hitomi sighed but did not give up. With continuous practice, she was sure to gain mastery over her chakra! With her pale hands flickering red with chakra, Hitomi slowly sent it to her fingertips and tried to hold it there for as long as she could before allowing it to disperse.

Bit by bit, she was beginning to understand how her chakra worked, and this reflected on her improving performance. Hitomi continued to focus and reached down into her chakra pool, feeling for the familiar flaring storm of the chakra source. She drew from it and practiced sending a desired yet seemingly random amount of chakra to random points of her body, to see where she stood with control. Due to her affinity for genjutsu, the control was rather advanced, yet not enough.

Hitomi patiently drew upon a flicker of chakra again and guided it to her fingertips, holding it there for what seemed like a long time before slowly allowing it to disperse back into her chakra network. A small smile came to her lips, showing her pride at having advanced with her control in such a short time. She knew she was close to finishing with her meditation, but wasn't done yet.

For the final steps of the meditation, Hitomi once again drew upon a minute amount of chakra and sent it to her fingertips, holding it there without a problem for quite a while, until she sent it back into her system. She sighed deeply and focused on her chakra, willing it to move at a normal pace instead of the slow, calming pace it usually travelled when she was meditating. Hitomi then opened her eyes and briefly thought about the next step that needed to be taken.

Matsu arrived at the Academy a few minutes later than Hitomi and when he went inside, he could already see her training. He looked around the building until he spotted the Hokage along with the shinobi from the gate, the dark haired male. Matsu approached the Hokage and bowed, showing his respect. "I have completed the task you assigned to me, sir." Matsu said blankly, his expression reflective of his tone. There was a certain scent in the room that made it feel comfortable and familiar. It was a sweet scent although it was not so intense that it would give him a headache.

Eclipse shook her head to Notcis as he asked if she was going. "No, this girl is long due for a Jounin test." Straightening up some next to him the arm that was wrapped around her fell to her waist hers loosening around his chest. Thankfully his hand was not touching inappropriate areas but ended up on her hip. Looking over she saw Hitomi enter with a man from another village, though he smelled well of Konoha, which meant he had been around for some time. The scent of Hitomi herself lingered on him. She must've gotten assigned to him or something. . . It is interesting to see people from other villages. Though, none can compare to the group Sukai was traveling with. Who were the others. Dai and Kein. Yes, those were their names. I wonder how things turned out for my cousin and her 'crush'.

In the midst of reading the scroll, Hitomi's mind began to wander on irrelevant subjects. She thought back to who was gathered in the main room of the academy before her thoughts drifted to the presence of Eclipse, someone she successfully had avoided. 'Tell her I love her...' Reiko's words came back to her, and she recalled promising that she would in fact do that. Her grip on the scroll tightened before loosening up, but her eyes remained on the scroll's words. 'Like I care. I won't get in their business.' With that, she cast all thoughts not related to training out of her mind and regained focus of her current training. After a few more moments of quickly skimming through the words, the girl placed the scroll down and stood up, stretching her arms and back before sighing and closing her eyes.

After concentrating and connecting to her chakra, Hitomi quickened the pace it traveled to her tenketsu before weaving hand signs and channeling it through them. Before she could finish with the series of hand seals, the girl stopped and observed how the chakra went back to its stand-by state, quickly rushing through her network but not as if she was in actual combat.

She once again began forming hand signs and channeling her chakra through them, examining how the hand seals acted as a sort of catalyst, instructing the chakra in what way it should be molded and formed in order to produce a certain technique. She quickly went through a mental list of techniques before settling on one and flashing through hand seals.

After focusing her chakra very specifically, Hitomi spread out her arms and watched as ten crows suddenly seemed to form from the very air around her. They spiraled around her before landing on the ground and watching her expectantly with beady crimson eyes. Hitomi slightly sensed how their chakra network was different from her's, before releasing the chakra connected to them, thus dispelling the technique and causing them to disappear.

Sanzengaresu no Jutsu - 20 chakra

The girl's gray eyes gazed blankly into the air after the crows disappeared, before raising her arms and flashing through yet another series of hand signs. Like last time, she stopped before they were completed and took time to carefully examine and analyze the way her complex chakra system worked. 'If I do this, I'll understand how the chakra network of others works...Thus giving me a tighter grasp of the genjutsu arts.' She continued to focus on the chakra as it channeled throughout the seals.

After a few moments, Hitomi steadily released the chakra back into her system and dropped her control over it but still maintaining her focus. She delved even deeper into her network until she sensed the source of chakra, her chakra pool. At the moment it was flickering steadily, but with focused ease, the girl caused it to grow agitated before drawing upon it and bringing her hands up to form a hand seal.

The chakra was then channeled through the seal before a sudden and silent gust of wind hit her cheek, signaling the formation of a Shadow Clone. It stood in front of her, wearing identical training clothes and expression. She examined how the chakra was taken out of her own system and placed into the system of the clone, giving it some of her own power. With her blank gaze still present, Hitomi dispelled the clone and put the meditation scroll away in favor of the Maruton scroll.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu -40 chakra

After having read a bit from the scroll, Hitomi huffed and steadily got up. With a quick overview of the jutsu, she grudgingly got back to reading the scrolls strewn about around her. 'That one seems pretty useful...' After a few moments of silently reading over the technique, Hitomi quickly memorized the hand seals required and stood up, preparing herself for the jutsu.
Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu [Crow Clone Technique] [1/3]

With pale hands flashing through hand signs and eyes blazing with concentration, the black-haired girl spread out her arms and watched in pure fascination as her limbs and body scattered into ink-black crows. It was certainly a strange experience. Her consciousness remained, but it seemed much more...spread out. Her field of vision also increased, as she was now able to see through the crows' eyes.
Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu [Crow Clone Technique] [2/3]

Hitomi allowed the crows to fly inside the training room as she carefully examined how the technique worked. Each crow was an extension of herself, so it would be unfortunate if one was to get hurt, thus her reason for also knowing the Sanzengaresu no Jutsu. After a few moments, the girl released the technique, and the crows all merged together, allowing Hitomi to take her original shape.

Reaching for the scroll, she once again began to look through it before her eyes landed on a particular technique, one that sensors typically used, The Mind's Eye of Kagura. She read the mechanisms of the jutsu and how it worked, its results, and what it required, before moving on to the hand seals portion.
Kagura Shingan [Kagura Mind's Eye] [1/5]

After finally having grasped the way the technique worked, Hitomi closed her eyes and concentrated on her surroundings before activating the jutsu. With much focus, she could sense the others in the academy, although it was very faint, and their chakra capacity. One was Jounin, one was Chūnin, and there were several others, but Hitomi knew that she needed more practice to perfect it.
Kagura Shingan [Kagura Mind's Eye] [2/5]

Eyebrows now furrowed in concentration, Hitomi focused on the chakra signal of other shinobi around her and tried to see if she could tell their capacity. It was faint, but she definitely needed more practice with the technique. For a while, the girl sat and practiced the sensing technique, careful to not disrupt her own chakra or loose focus.
Kagura Shingan [Kagura Mind's Eye] [3/5]

Bit by bit, she was beginning to tell the difference between individual chakra capacities and who they belonged to. It was difficult to judge the distance between them, but she started to get better at it with more insistent practicing. After being able to tell a person's chakra capacity, she worked on being able to judge the distance between one ninja and another and herself.
Kagura Shingan [Kagura Mind's Eye] [4/5]

After much extensive practicing of this technique, Hitomi at last grasped how it worked and immediately began practicing how fast she could switch her focus from one person to the next. After a while when she had mastered the technique, the girl released her chakra and picked up the scroll.

Eclipse looked over at Noctis once more nodding back to him moving her hand up running it through her silky hair. Take my ANBU test as well, kill two birds with one stone. Glancing over at the Hokage she toke her hands off of Noctis. "Thanks, good luck on the exams. I know you'll beat all the rest~" Night said it because she knew it was probably true. Noctis was a good shinobi, she remembered way back when they were both genin and he was just starting. Even back then she was fit to be a chuunin. Eclipse just never put herself to going to take her tests. If she had she would've been a Jounin along with Noctis ages ago. She was a Sensei now, and needed to catch up to herself. Smirking she kissed her hand a flame left upon her fingers she then put it on Noctis's cheek leaving a light singe of a kiss mark on his skin. Her black crimson kiss.

Noctis felt the singe on his skin, though it probably left a mark how bad could it be.He needed to focus on his jutsu, it would be good to have an amply supply for the upcoming exams. There would definately be a fighting portion so he needed to be ready. Noctis still wasn't one to express himself too much out where everyone could see."Bye." he said to Eclipse as he left to go train.Little did he know there was a kiss mark on his cheek.

Making her crack a smile was the fact he didn't even know that he had a black kiss mark on his cheek. Seeing the Hokage was busy she made a few hand-signs. A clone of Eclipse appeared next to her. Glancing at her clone she nodded to it then turned and exited.

Noctis sat to try and focus on his training, but no matter how still he was or how hard he tried to concentrate something was bothering him. He had this feeling the same one he had when he left for Yukigakure, it was an ominous feeling. He began thinking about eclipse and the kids. He decided he should go visit the kids at least before he left. From his sitting position he did a handseal and shushined out to the apartments. But not before leaving a clone to train for him.

The Hokage watched as some left and a few stayed behind. As he was considering calling out to Hitomi, he was faced by the Yukigakure shinobi he had sent with them. "How did it go? Did you enjoy the spar?" he asked before addressing the question asked of him. "I do have something else, but I'm afraid it might have to wait. As I'm sure you are aware, the Exams are upon us and I would have hoped you entered. I would get going if I were you, unless you wish to be disqualified."

Calling out to Hitomi, Wazurai waved his right hand. "Hitomi, don't forget that the exams are starting. You don't want to be late! I'll see you there after the second exam."

Standing up to take a small break from training, Hitomi walked out of the room in time to here the Hokage call out to her after speaking to Matsu. She waved and nodded. "Yes sir, but I'm afraid I did not sign up for the exams. There is always next time, however?" She chuckled nervously, embarrassed from having admitted that she missed the sign ups because she had been out of the village at the time. "I apologize, but I must go back to work. No rest for the weary, as they say. Goodbye." She waved goodbye before walking to a nearby desk and placing the scroll she had trained from on it. The girl would then begin to head back to the secluded training room of the academy after forming two Kage Bunshin, giving one a list of what to buy from Takumi, and sending it out of the Academy. To the other, she instructed, "Go do menial missions, anything that'll bring in ryo, and don't dawdle!" 'Time to get that atlas...I'll be able to learn even more techniques..' A small smile played on her lips before disappearing, her thoughts starting to roam on more irrelevant subjects.
