Inka returned to watching over the training, content to allow Kagerou's presence even as she returned to intently watching him. His patience had certainly evolved drastically over the past few years. He supposed being in a village not his own and being watched by so many eyes helped. An eyebrow quirked on reflex at the sudden laugh but otherwise left it be. "The smoke bomb style?" He regarded Kagerou out the corner of his eye, as though weighing her capabilities. "You sure I'm not influencing you?" But before she responds back in kind Inka is motioning to those in attendance, calling out a break and wind-down stretches. "I'm not opposed." The kage turns to face the red-eyed woman face-to-face one more. "When would work best?"

The girl with red eyes simply smiled in reply to the question of Inka's influence on her. If he wanted to think of it that way, then she didn't mind. Standing still, she watched Inka as he regarded her, judged her for whatever worth he used to determine if she was worth this time. She just hoped she met his expectations.
Kagerou hummed a little out of happiness when she received the Mizukage's approval, and answered promptly with her schedule when asked, "Right now could work if you don't mind teaching me alongside everyone else. On weekdays, I have about an hour free right at this time. Otherwise, I'm still not sure about my schedule at the hospital, but for now, I'm free after 4PM and before 7AM on weekdays and have nothing planned on the weekends." Though she had made the decision to ask for training willy nilly, she had put due consideration into it, and of course, had done at least the bare minimum of making sure she was ready with her availability.
Inka hummed a low note, expression contemplative, before he turns back to the field and barks a loud order to 'break,' finally signalling lunch time for the haggard participants. He then turns around, to the empty portion of the field behind him, and stepd forward, the thick, black robe of his office trailing around his heels. "Then we'll begin." He states. The Juurai Toorima style - he can still remember his first sensei teaching him this style, way back when, even younger than Kagerou is now. It was hard not to bring up Nekita's words as he explained the fundamental technique to this style. Whether it bothered him that people would be able to watch - or even actively observed - this impromptu session, Inka didn't let on.
"The Tabi Shift technique," He begins, tensing and relaxing his legs one after the after a handful of times before he launches forward - only to appear near two-and-a-half meters away, and to the the side of where he had appeared to aim to. "Without which renders many following techniques unobtainable." He crosses his arms and cocks one hip. "Don't expect to achieve much distance, as that takes time." And with that, he begins explaining how Kagerou is to ready herself, how to know if she's achieved the goal set forth. Suddenly, remembering something from his past, he adds; "If you have trouble, learn barefoot."

"Yes, Hizara sensei, Kagerou piped up as she swung her shoulder bag off and to the side, inside of which she had already stowed away her earrings and cosmetic hair clips. Her hat followed not long after, and then her waist and arms were freed with the tossing aside of her plaid-patterned overdress and corse. Comfortable and ready now in a sleeveless white shirt, the lacy black top of which had been visible above her overdress, and a knee-length red skirt she could tolerate training in, Kagerou limbered up as her newly acquired sensei, be he short term or long term, explained and demonstrated. Though her head may have tilted from one side to the other, her red eyes never strayed from the Lord Mizukage's demonstration, tracking and committing to memory the smallest movements in the muscles that made such a technique possible. Even the places where the grass lay flattened because of his invisible steps did not escape her notice. She smiled, as she always did, and it was not strange for this nosy psychiatrist hopeful to stare for so long or so hard. Nonetheless, her observations held a cold practicality she rarely ever had.
That concentrated yet still soft gaze shifted as the young kunoichi felt the end of her teacher's explanation nearing, moving from focusing on the central point of the lessons, his legs, to the central point of his body, the chest. Her stretches since over, Kagerou waited in a relaxed manner, standing straight with her hands clasped primly in front of her belly. A gentle breeze shifted her green hair to and from, like the grass on the field, and her skirt waved in time to the same dance of air. Using the movement of the red cloth to hide her own, Kagerou's stance shifted to replicate the very one Inka was making.
When advice rather than trial by fire followed the last of his instruction, however, Kagerou's eyes lit up with their usual friendly interest at Inka's last suggestion, the iciness melting away as if it never existed, and with a lively smile, she nodded in agreement. Her stance broke so that she could snap of her mary janes and toss them, with her socks, to her pile of belongings. Letting her toes sink into the cool grass, Kagerou let out the breath she had been holding and focused on just learning like a normal student would.
Her muscles tensed and relaxed as Inka had been so kind to show her with his own, and beneath the soles of her feet, Kagerou could feel the rolling of the soil underneath her in response to the motions of her body. Her teeth started to lightly click together in a steady beat and the dancer mentally traced out a plan of steps before her, the exact same pattern Inka had walked. She moved according to that plan, bells ringing to the beat of her teeth.
"One, two three four." She traced the steps of the shunshin-like technique. "Back, two three four." She jumped back and paused for a measure so that she could start on one again. "One, two three four." She traced the steps once more, paying special attention to the positions of the rest of her body. Though, it wasn't like such attention was needed. Since the beginning, she had made no mistakes in copying Inka, to the point that her practice right now, no matter how seriously she took it, appeared to be just for show. "Back, two three four." She jumped back and paused for a measure plus a breath.
Her muscles tensed as before to store power, but instead of simply releasing it unused, Kagerou let that energy explode her forward. When she moved again, a new, much faster beat replaced the first in her head, but her feet remained true to their marks and her body's form as good as when she moved more slowly. Exactly as Inka had done just minutes ago, Kagerou disappeared as she looked like she was about to take a step forward, and then reappeared forward, but also to the side. Exactly as Inka had foretold, as well, she only made it half a meter before becoming visible to the naked eye. Once she was in back in her position, Kagerou acknowledged her flaws with a content smile, "It seems I need more training," but said nothing more on the matter.
"Absolutely not." Inka threw the words over his shoulder at being called sensei, a stern current in his tone and expression. "It's more likely endurance you need. You build it over time." As he says this, he opens pouch holstered to his thigh, reaching inside and pulling out a small handful of obsidian-like pellets. Smokebombs. He holds them out for Kagerou to take. As soon as they're out of his palm, Inka takes a single step back, keeping himself facing the Uchiha and procuring two more smokebombs for himself. "Next." He holds up his hand, revealing three pellets - and sharply flicks his hand to the side, sending the smokebombs shooting out to an unused patch of the grounds - one bomb explodes in midair, a black cloud blooming two meters away, the second two meters after that, and the last not until it hit the ground. Inka didn't even bother glancing at the display he had just made, only pulling out two more smoke bombs.
"Practice your precision and control." He starts explaining. "Use chakra to control the detonation of the bombs, precision for your movements. Something as simple as dust can be utilised to great effect with this." He reenacts how he threw the smokebombs earlier, movements slow, and the bombs remaining inactive, until Kagerou begins making her own attempts.

Though she smiled quizzically at the tone behind Inka's denial, Kagerou answered readily, "Yes," as she walked up to take the bombs he proffered. She recreated the distance between the two just as quickly, staring curiously into Inka's eyes until the demonstration began and she instead focused her attention upon the bombs Inka threw. Thoughtlessly, as the bombs exploded, her head lowered and her hand raised up to cover her nose. When it came her turn to try, which started with musing while looking at the balls in her hand, Kagerou slightly shifted her hand so it thoughtfully cupped her chin instead.
This technique she definitely had some familiarity with. After all, it was merely another version of sleight of hand, and the lord had pointed out, such small tricks were invaluable to a shinobi. Straightening out, Kagerou got into a more comfortable stance to be training in then slightly hunched with her hands crowding around her face. Transferring all but one ball to her left hand, Kagerou tossed the remaining ball in her right hand up and down. Facing the direction the wind blew in, Kagerou ceased tossing the ball and rolled it through her fingers. Her bells rang consistently with the movements, a constant drone of sound that faded into the background as Kagerou focused and, in the last moments, grasped the smoke ball between her middle and index finger. With a snap of her wrist, the smoke bomb was thrown with exact precision. The spin on it gave a curve that let it slight to the side as it flew through the air. Perfectly on track as it was, it hit the exact spot Kagerou wanted, but as the wind blew the smoke away from her, Kagerou let out a small, "Ah." The sound of someone who realized their mistake, but also, the only sound made by someone who tried to henceforth act like she had only meant to practice the physical aspect of the bomb technique.
Taking another ball into her right, Kagerou kept her eyes steadily open and on the target as she recalculated. Earlier, her chakra precision had been off, unlike her excellent hand-eye coordination. A little embarrassing for someone who made a profession out of iryojutsu. However, practice made perfect, and Kagerou had quite a bit of practice with correcting her chakra precision. This time, with less delay and a shorter interim for thought, she threw the smoke pellet. Given a back spin, the bomb lingered in the air longer, but the greater force behind it permitted it to travel a greater distance despite the rotation working against it. It didn't reach the end of its travel, however, and instead, at the peak of its arc, Kagerou successfully activated her chakra this time to detonate the bomb. After this success, she looked back to Inka. Her mouth opened in an open-mouthed smile, but before any sounds came out, she changed her mind. "Why do you dislike the term sensei?" those words didn't come out. The mistakes of last night returned to her, and she realized that she may have more regrets by saying whatever she felt like than by staying quiet. Instead, she asked, "The next technique in this style is a stance, yes Inka-sama?".
Inka remained silent, not offering any advice nor physical clues about his thoughts on Kagerou's progress. On her apparent success - mostly identified by her wide smile. "Witch such familiarity of the style, you wont need me to teach you." He replies, but turns to face the medic and shifts his stance anyway, revealing a continued willingness to teach his fellow Kiri resident. "Non-dominant, focused on the enemy." Inka lifts his left hand, palm facing Kagerou. "Dominant," He continues, moving his right hand into a fist and keeping it next to his stomach. He briefly explains, almost in a verbal, dot-point manner, how the position of the hands worked as a focus for keeping one's reflexes sharp, how to keep certain muscles loose, and other tense, to make the most of an incoming enemy attack. He askes her to move around him, to better demonstrate, showing how his upper body controlled and kept the lower half more receptive to movements.

At Inka's comment about no longer needing to teach Kagerou, the young chuunin's mouth turned into a little "x," lips pressing firmly closed. Saying no more in case Inka changed his mind about teaching her, she listened mutely to the instructions that followed. Eyes piercing into Inka's body, Kagerou stood primly in one spot as she devoted to memory the position taken by her teacher. Her eyes narrowed and her smile calmed in her focus until they widened when Inka gave leave for Kagerou to move around. Too obviously relieved with this permission, the studying chuunin paced steadily around the demonstrating mizukage. From multiple angles, she investigated the stance she was to perform, and all the while, not a single syllable of Inka's instructions were lost on her ears.
When she was done with her studies, Kagerou stopped in her original spot in front of her teacher, though he seemed against the idea. "Could it be because he has so many titles already?". She doubted that was the case, as amusing as it was in its silliness.
Attempting the stance that had been described and posed for her, Kagerou spread her feet shoulder width apart and faced the non-dominant side of her body towards Inka. Her non-dominant hand raised, and she leveled it to her "opponent's" head. Her dominant hand clenched into a fist at her midriff. Then, following Inka's instructions, she tried to tense and relax the muscles as needed to create a light-on-the-foot stance.
Despite following the instructions to a T, however, her form was still flawed. Her waist was too forward, which affected the angle of the arm she matched to Inka's head. Then, as well, her dominant hand had also adjusted into the wrong position. Because she couldn't see her form, she couldn't replicate what she saw in her mind's eye.
Inka watches Kagerou attempt to mimic what she had been shown, allowing her several minutes to tweak the details before he feels its doing more harm than good. "Hold." He instructs before walking over and, with the tips of hia middle and forefingers, The Mizukage gently pokes at various parts of the medic's body, either pushing them into place or giving a comment on how that area could improve. A poke at Kagerou's waist; "Feel the line of tension," he starts, then pokes the elbow of the Medic's raised arm. "and how its pulled by the hand." Inka poke the underside of Kagerou's clenched hand. "Use it for counter balance." He steps back after several more minor adjustments. "Stand normally, try again." Inka speaks, his tone firm and authoritative.

Obediently, Kagerou froze in place the moment the kage issued his instruction. She ceased trying to look down her person with flustered glances as she tried to make up for a lack of a mirror. In truth, she had hoped to avoid making the kage assist with her training, but it appeared that was unavoidable. Responding compliantly to the pokes and prods as someone used to getting her stance corrected from young, the kunoichi adjusted as necessary. Though, that poke at the waist did cause her to jolt a little, squirming her smile, before she settled into the corrected posture. Repositioning her arm, she tried to feel the imaginary string through her body that the Mizukage described. Her clenched hand was poked up, and she thought she could feel it. It took a little more help from Inka, but once she found that line of tension, her body settled into an understanding of what it needed to do.
At his command, Kagerou promptly released the stance. Her forwards foot slid back to standby level and shoulder-width apart from the other foot. Both hands lowered to her sides. Standing straight and facing forwards, Kagerou took a breath in this standby position to properly reset. Then she tried the stance again per instructions.
The little pause he had given her when he stepped back was enough for her to remember the feel of the stance, so when she resumed, it was with far less difficulty than her first attempt. Her feet spread apart in to their positions and her hands came up to the right levels. With some minor point shifts, she was able to rediscover that line of tension, and from there, she recreated the rest of the stance, this time through feeling rather than pinpoint observation and comparison. Some of what she did to get the right feeling was exactly how Inka had tapped her body, like how her hand started in the wrong position before the elbow moved so that it could pull and counterbalance the line of tension. Inka watched how Kagerou took his instructions in, silent and accepting the whole while. When she moved to a relaxed position and then attempted to fall into a correct stance, he didn't say anything. Even as she held the stance, he didn't speak, but he did uncross his arms and begin walking around her, showing scrutiny for her posture. After a full circle, he mad a hand-sign - 'follow me' - and started moving once more, slowly at first and then using the earlier taught Tabi Shift to take up a whole new position to see how her quick change in direction held. Once he was satisfied enough, he nodded and walked up the medic nin once again.
"At ease." He says, one hand reaching into the pouch obviously designated for his smokebombs. "Here." He offered a small handful of the obsidian-coloured pellets. "You'll need to learn a tolerance for standing in these." He explains. He gives a few tips with how he built up his tolerance, including how he breathed.

She remained calm, and obediently followed instructions, her red eyes gliding to and fro as they followed the Mizukage's motions. With all the pieces of the puzzle already learned, she only needed to see once to do. She moved and, muscle for muscle, copied the kage's move, shedding all difficulty she had earlier with the static stance now that she had to move. How her weight should shift and how her feet should step all came naturally to her, and since she had already been taught the right way to stand, she could intuit in a flash how to hold her body in the final position Inka demonstrated.
Her smile unchanging, Kagerou eased when ordered to do so. She straightened up and, reaching over, accepted the smoke bombs handed to her. Her eyes glued to the small, black spheres, the green haired girl nodded periodically to the lord Mizukage's explanations and tips. A few, she was hearing for the first time, and she accepted these new tidbits of knowledge gratefully. Most, however, she had already heard, but she did not bother mentioning this.
"Tolerance," Inka had said. Well, Kagerou could say big words, too. Like "apprehension."
No matter how childishly she may have thought, however, the chuunin was already old enough to train appropriately. Without a word, Kagerou picked up one smoke pellet and rolled it between her thumb and forefinger. She smiled, more inscrutably than before, as she tilted her head to show that she was relaxed and raised the hand that held the single smoke pellet. Her breathing came and went in perfectly even rhythm.
Right when she looked ready to throw the pellet at the ground, however, those scarlet irises flashed up and trained on Inka, as if they remembered just now that they hadn't reflected his image for the entirety of this lesson. From out of the blue, the red eyed girl smiled. Genuine curiosity started to add color to what was once a blank smile, and asked, "Inka-se-sama." That was a stumble. She had focused too much on what she should say that she slipped on how she should say it. "Do you have stringent standards for your students?". The hand that held the pellet lowered slowly and stopped to rest above Kagerou's chest as she waited for an answer.
Inka was wondering how long Kagerou's obedient, focused silence would last. Indeed, it was worrying, at first, but he didn't bring it up in case it was simply how the medic made progress. And she was. Kagerou was picking up the Juurai Toorima exceptionally well. He cocked an eyebrow at her verbal slip-up in addressing him, but it was short-lived - a frown pressing itself onto his features at the question. "If my teaching style isn't to your liking, find another instructor." He replied. "And if you no-longer wish to be trained, then I'll return to my duties for Konoha." He looked up to the sun's position, measuring it's movement. Indeed, he's spent far too much time on a fellow Kiri-nin's training. He had only been able to teach as much as he had thanks to his position and the addition of his helpers. Some of the shinobi who had attended today's training session had returned to their previous exercises, others were still watching Inka and Kagerou, speaking amongst themselves or with the assistant Kiri-nin to learn from what was demonstrated from Inka to Kagerou. It was obvious Inka had no interest in entertaining Kagerou's question, especially not so publicly, while so many were attentive to his actions.

Reminded of their physical position of this moment by her lord's behavior, Kagerou didn't even sigh. She merely nodded her head, returning to her best behavior.
"Keep this up and you'll make Sev actually cry," she thought, worrying, for the umpteenth time for her friend's choice of crush.
What she actually said, however, was an ever polite, "Apologies, Inka-sama, that wasn't what I meant at all." Her eyes, gone from curious to scrutinizing turned away from the Mizukage as, once again, she raised her hand to the air. "I asked because I quite like your teaching style. Though, worry not. After this, I'll stop hogging you for the day."
This time, for realsies, Kagerou swung her arm down and released the bomb. The pellet impacted the ground and a plume of smoke rose in its place. At that exact moment, Kagerou breathed in the last of the fresh air before it blew out. Despite the depth of her breath, her chest barely moved, and she used the smoke that made her hold her breath to obscure the signs of her trick against the smoke.
While the smoke lingered, the chuunin patiently waited with her breath held, no signs of visible discomfort showing as the inky obstruction cleared several minutes later. Only once the fumes had nearly cleared out, did she give a little nod of her head, green braids waving with the motion, and breathed out. Not forcefully, but again, like she was normally breathing and had been normally breathing while the smoke remained. Then she breathed back in, hoping to be in the all clear, but only being all-most in the clear.
Even though only a slight haze remained of the smoke, Kagerou felt her throat constrict in clear distaste of the polluted air. The coughs that came in quick succession puffed out the cheeks of the squinting teen, smiling lips pressed together tightly to prevent any unwanted air from being breathed back in. Though, she couldn't stop the involuntary intake of air through the nose, which set off another coughing fit, a stronger set that caused Kagerou to bend forwards and bring a hand up to block her now open mouth and squeeze her nostrils shot. Although, it turned out to be unnecessary. By the time her second fit of coughs was over, the smoke had completely cleared, and Kagerou was able to comfortably breathe clean air once again. Acting as if nothing happened, she straightened up. The only signs of any prior breathing difficulty the subtly long breaths she took and the way she stood doing nothing, instead of rapidly proceeding to repeat her training as she had done before.
Sev appeared through thr fading haze, waving away the smoke with his hands. He looked like he had been up for the past two days with no sleep; disheveled and a mess. His hair was messy, his eyes baggy, his tie loosened, scruff evident on his chin. His weary blue eyes were downcast on a binder in his hands.
"Hey Kagerou, I need you to consult on these damn age regression-" He stopped by the coughing green haired kunoichi, his eyes lazily trailing up as he cut off mid sentence to look at Inka. His expression was blank-- there was no pain, no joy, nothing in his eyes. Severin let out a soft hum, a note that represented the pause in his thoughts. "Mmm... Hello Lord Mizukage, I was unaware you were in the village. I apologize for my interruption, but I have to steal Kagerou for a moment."
