Put that out, little freak. "This city is no good. I am quite convinced this place is hell. I would've died here a long time ago without Danny, and I predict I won't last long without him. I'd warn you to leave." Elke explained in a serious tone that wasn't used too much. She glared at the fireball, frowning as it continued to burn. True, she was frightened of fire and many other things, but she wasn't ready to bolt out yet. "And I'd suggest you take care of that." She said pointing to the fireball.

The music became a dull lull to him now. Nothing but a distant beat, blocked out by his mind.
He sat in the booth, resting back in the seat, staring at the glimmering roof.

Stars...

The lights reminded him of stars.
Slowly, he closed his eyes, drifting to times past, ages long forgotten. People he once knew and cared for. To this time he drew back into.

He remembered his wife. Her beauty unchallenged, kindness that shone like the moon, and a love that penetrated deep past death. "Eternal love" as she called it.

"Eternus... diligo..." David whispered the words from his lips gently, as if they were forbidden. Eternal love. Something he'd nearly forgotten...

He missed Fraeda. His first wife. His only wife. By now, she'd be only bones buried deep in the earth. Deep from his heart, from the pain.
Slowly, David returned to the now, shutting the images out of his mind, locking the face of Fraeda away for another night.
With what was going on right now, he really had not much time for rest. Not much time to regenerate. Even during the burning days, he hid in the darkness, working on the "project" that would turn the tables in his "life."

From the corner of his eye, came a bright light, brighter than those of the club, but he paid little attention, blowing it off as another dancelight.
He felt sick of this place. Sick of this eternal damnation that was called a gift by Malleus. He was sick of watching life, while "enjoying" un-life.

He was especially sick of this club. Too loud and full for his liking.
With that, he rolled his head to the side, staring at the club-go-ers dance, and mingle. He felt sick. Pulling himself up from the seat, he adjusted his jacket and dusted his pants down. He gave one more look around, just to see what the world had become over the last thousand years.
Skimpily clad girls, tightly clothed guys, all rubbing their sweat bathed bodies against one another, enjoying the fake sexual sensations that came along with the music and dancing.
He felt sick.

Shaking his head lightly, he reached up and scratched the back of his head as he walked for the door. Maybe something miraculous would happen before he got to the door.

Sorry....I need to stay...I need to find out more about my father.... says Josiah, he looks at his hand and starts to concentrate, making the fire go out.

Looks like he does want a biography. You could stay here and dish, but no. You wouldn't. Elke's head turned to her left, watching as a man strode to the door. She thought nothing of it and glanced over at Josiah again. Was he like his father? She wasn't sure. She almost wish he was, so he could keep Danny alive in a way. But that was just selfish. "Well, he was quite a busy man. You'll find plenty of scoops, I'd say." Her voice was tired, and upset. She really didn't know if she could keep this up for long. She just wish she'd been there. That night. It was all her fault. She should've been there. She could've saved him.

Josiah is thinking basically the same thing as Elke....if only he'd have gotten to New York sooner, he could have saved him.

I wish I could've found a way to carry my record player on the boat here...I liked it... says Josiah....talking more to himself than anyone...trying to get his mind off the unpleasantness...

You could give him your record player. The old one Danny gave you. Where did you put that thing? Elke smirked slightly at what he had said. "Well, you got something in common with him. He gave me his old player. I think it must be at the Coven." She paused for a moment, realizing she had no records to play on it since she'd only taken what she needed to New York. "Would you want it?" Her voice was soft in the loud club, while her stomach rumbled quietly. She couldn't feed now. Later. Much later. That's what you've been saying for days, girl. Days.

Time seemed to slow only for a moment as he passed two people sitting at the bar. He recognized one. He knew exactly who that person was even before he saw them. He smelt him.... Danny's son.
As he passed, and stole a glance at the two, time seemed to shift back to normal, and a slight grin came upon his face.
Reaching into his jacket, he pulled out his beaten up pack of cigarettes, and took a quick detour to a seat near the two as best he could, trying not to gain much attention.
The glaze of sadness left his eyes, only to be replaced by the glimmer of excitement.

Although he'd never met Danny before, he had heard of him from certain informants and had the chance to walk by him, catching his scent and a glimpse of his face. He also caught wind of a child, the same child that sat no more than five seats away. He knew it was Danny's son. No mistaking the scent.

Lighting the smoke, he leaned on his hand, resting his right elbow on the bartop, trying to make it seem that his attention was on the clubbers, dancing on the floor.

[Alright David, let's zone in a bit, shall we?] he thought to himself, blocking out all other sound as best he could, all other sounds except the voices of the girl and Danny's boy.
He had a "hunch" that his son had some useful information about a certain item that David had been hunting for quite some time now. Sources told him Danny's child would know. So he sat, waiting to catch whim of anything.

Not if you want it... says Josiah, he didn't even have a place to live yet, where would he keep a record player?

"It's fine. Everything's fine. No matter what." Elke listened to what she said, wondering if she'd gone off into absurdity. Like you would know, darling. You're a fine freak. And I hate you. She lazily grabbed the back of her neck with her right hand, pushing on it to relieve the muscles. She was ready to have a full nervous breakdown, but she wouldn't do it here or infront of this kid. Suddenly she remembered something. "Ah. Kid. Be weary of the lycans, yeah. Most aren't too kind to your kind." She smiled weakily, releasing her hand off her neck.

What's a Lycan? asks Josiah, totally serious.

Wow. Just wow. I bet I could kill him, yes. Elke shook her head, disappointed. She let her hand run through her dark violet hair before replying. "They're like werewolves, yes? I don't think I've seen one myself, but you better not meet up with one. This city is no good." She mumbled, watching a few dancing bodies grind against eachother. What you don't like it? Psh. You are so pathetic, girl. This boy will surely be killed, she thought. She didn't want to babysit, but maybe she would. For Danny. She'd do anything for him, really. Even fire a gun.

Werewolves? Right, next youll tell me that I have to look out for vampires! says Josiah, he chuckles nervously.

You got to be kidding me. Oh lordie. "Well, that too." She said coldly, trying to show she was quite serious about what she had said. Did he know anything? Did he even know what he was? "You'll find plenty of vampires about. Just need to know where to look." She smiled slightly, hoping she hadn't scared the kid too much. It could be alot of information for a newcomer. Elke sighed, he couldn't even be twenty. He shouldn't be here all alone. "Toldja. City no good."

Josiah looks about, he takes a closer look at his surroundings...there are PEOPLE DRINKING BLOOD.

Russ's face turns a pasty white, he starts gagging, he's about to vomit...

"Aww... what are you afraid of?" Takiko asked, seeming to appear from the shadows behind Josiah. One hand was on his shoulder, her mouth next to his neck. It was a menacing position, looking as though she would bite him at any given moment. Her fangs even gently scraped his neck. But she was just trying to scare him.
