um i think alot of people forgot this but the hostage isn't out cold anymore. vic put the trap on her to keep her from escapeing or moveing around.
I dought vic thought anyone would try rescueing her without fighting him.

No, I know. It's just Daniel doesn't care to ask questions or wait for her to start yapping.
He does figure she might be banged up, or maybe just doesn't know how to swim, so he might have to Rescue her from the surf. Better to be Prepared for it than find out after she screams "I can't swim!"
Daniel figures Hostages always yap. The "OMG! You came to save me!" rant. He's heard it enough times he doesn't want to actually Prompt it by attempting conversation with the woman.

Talon: Why would you mount weaker weapons than the three Naval Rotary Autocannons of the Aurora to an 'uparmored' variant? The weight/armament also hasn't been adjusted from the Aurora.

Actually I ment to talk to him about some of that loadout.
Mostly that the weapon "Stats" mean very little to me. I'd rather just have short descriptions of "This is what it does" than model names. sweatdrop

Curse those recent BattleTech additions!
Though I still fondly remember my custom Medium Mech I had which was just demolishing everything my GM threw at me. And all the other players could come up with.
Well, until finally my GM put me in an ambush situation where I had no air cover, 3 lances of fighters on me, and a 5-1 disadvantage on Mechs. xp That was our last session.

He was just angry (The GM) because all of the Ambush "Run for the Hills!" scenarios he set up we managed to turn into Clear Victory for us. Nothing like the Falcon Flip+Five Flame Throwers to disable an enemy mech.

Im going to see if I cant get a friend of mine (Ruuvan who plays Jaccob Haines of the Aurora) to fill in for some of the action since I will be AWOL, Im working on a Battleship since obviously theres quite a clamor for larger spacedy vessels among my ranks but it will be a LOOOONG time in coming (though I may list it earlier)

a friend of mine played battle tech. told me he liked the game but the gm burned him out on it because the gm had a rules that your always ejected from you mecha when its destroyed. you could shoot the cockpit with a sniper rifle and leave a gapping hole were the cockpit was and the pilot would still be ejected alive.

That's actually in the rules, not just something the GM came up with.
