Prince Timothy Harrison Tim sighed and petted Chcoby. "Maybe. If only to show my father that I am happy and that he was wrong. No, if I were to marry I would want my parents to be witness to it." He sat there and stared out into the distance unsure of what he would do.

Be good...
Lorika nodded towards the giant bird. "That's a very interesting mount you have. Does he... or she have a name?"
...and you will be lonesome. (( Short posts are short D; ))

Prince Timothy Harrison Tim chuckled and swept the priestess off her feet and mounted her on the bird. "His name is Chocoby. How bout we go for a little ride?" Holding the reigns, he walked slowly alongside the bird and held the woman's waist so she wouldn't fall. "We won't stray to far from this spot."

Be good...
Lorika shrieked as she found herself lifted off the ground and plonked on top of the yellow bird. The prince's arm held her fast, and her heart soon stopped hammering. It had been many years since she'd last ridden a horse, but the memories began to flood back to her and her uneasiness died.
"Hello Chocoby..." she stammered as the bird shifted around and began to walk under her. She stroked the feathers on the back of his neck and looked down at Timothy. "Just walking around here would be fine. I wouldn't like to go far, as I'll probably be needed to heal the boy. How old is he?" she added, patting Chocoby's head.
...and you will be lonesome.

Prince Timothy Harrison "Twenty ....one I think. I had trouble walking when I was little....so i rode around on him till I was about seven, and made him my private steed. Speaking of the boy...they are sure taking a long time. Pip pip Choco..." The man began to run back towards the tunnel leading the steed and carefully holding on to Lorika. As they arrived at the tunnel he rose his hand up and shot a ball of light down the way. [Light]

Be good...
Lorika looked at Timothy in surprise.
"Goodness...! Chocoby is the same age as me! How long does his breed live for?"
As he voiced his concerns about the length of time they'd been waiting, she nodded uncertainly. "Yes... you're quite right. They have been a long time."
As the Prince fired off a ball of light, the Priestess gently prised his hand away and shakily dismounted, clinging on to him tightly for support. "I suppose I'll be needed momentarily..."
...and you will be lonesome.

"You look younger," he said wrapping his arms around the woman and gently setting her down. "We're not sure. Domesticated, they live about the life span of humans. But I hear the wild ones live much much longer. They are very affectionate and loyal., but still have their free spirt."

Be good...
"That's amazing!" she breathed, turning to stroke the creature's face. "My family kept many animals while I was growing up. I much preferred their company to that of humans, actually. A chicken would never judge me. Sometimes I used to go down and sit in the coop, letting them peck round my feet. For a long time my favourites were three barnevelder hens... sweet girls, they were. And so beautiful. The patterns on their feathers truly fascinated me. My favourite breed is sebright, but... my father never bought any. They die too easily, you see. They aren't hardy enough to be profitable."
She ran her fingers down the bird's neck, the silky feathers recalling memories to the surface. "I never dreamed I'd meet a loyal creature who could easily outlive me... do you think he'd remember us, even after we're long gone?"
...and you will be lonesome.

"Of course. How could he forget such a beautiful creature such as yourself? As for sebrights, they live very well in my country. They feed off the wheat."

Lorika looked around at him in surprise. "You have many of them there?"
She caught herself, and smiled sheepishly. "Of course... your country sounds very beautiful indeed. Why wouldnt they have the most beautiful breed of poultry? Still, I've never met anyone else with the knowledge of poultry I have... and a prince, too! I had no idea they could deign to be involved in such common affairs."
...and you will be lonesome. (( EDIT: Sebrights are sooo pretty =w= ))

Prince Timothy Harrison "A Prince must know his people and his country's resources. As a boy I often skipped out on my school work and would venture out into the country side to play." He chuckled to himself and dismissed Chocoby.

"That's... admirable, in its own way."
She watched the yellow bird bound away, before stepping closer to the Prince. "Do you... regret being forced to leave? Did you want to become king?"
...and you will be lonesome.
