The Dashing Gentleman Lev had known the shadow wielder had been lurking, like a little rat, sniffing about the concrete walls of manors and bigot's homes, scrambling for cheese. Lev almost laughed at this, his thoughts so quick he needn't even time to wonder, to prod at possibility. The shadow blade would touch nothing, Lev giving a curt, albeit pre-planned side step, then a hop backward. Eye to eye with this man, this foolish man, Lev would then fill him with enough volts to power the city of Chicago for a year. If that man wasn't dead by that strike, Lev pondered, stepping away without even looking back at the man, then I might as well give up..
He no longer has the strength to hold onto his blade. It drops from his hand and retracts itself into the hilt. The shadow dissipates and their is a sizable clang that resonates through the halls as it hits the linoleum floor. Teshoumaru coughs, smoke escaping from his lips. He looks down at his right hand and notes that he has suffered massive electrical burns throughout his body. His burnt flesh stings his nostrils, even more so since he had started to take on the characteristics of his wolf half. His eyes glance overhead and spot a sparking florescent light. He thanks his ancestors and sinks into the shadow beneath him, leaving his sword behind.
In the shadow realm, he allows his body to take the form of the wolf. In this shape he can be nurtured and healed by the atmosphere of the toxic realm. It will take time however, and this is what hurts his pride the most. He prays for his student back at Valhalla, and that she will have the strength to carry on with her training despite his absence. Hopefully, he thinks, Freya will find her. Before his eyes close so that he may sleep through his healing he says one more prayer aloud.
"...Please don't be a bad influence on her Freya. One of you is enough."

Rikki Tikki Travi Freya inhales through her teeth in an unsure fashion. "A bit more harsh than that I'm afraid. Y'see, my mind is half shared by Okami. Okami is the one who is corrupted by the beast. There is a chance you could run into that thing while you are living my past experiences. If that happens I'll pull you out right away. But if for some reason I can't, then there is a chance you could die or become corrupted. If you become corrupted it is fixed by a tattooed seal, but there isn't much I can do if your mind is blitzed by that thing. Again, I wont force you to do it. It's entirely up to you." Trinity's eyes lowered as she confirmed that she could die using this method, and another possibility arrived which was if she got corrupted she would need a tattoo, like Freya and her sensei. Do I really want to kill Lev?
Yes, the guy needs to die, for the murders he has committed...but why by my hand all of the sudden? Why am I the one she thinks that can put an end to it all. Why does she say I have some look in my eyes, why would I want revenge? He did not harm me or my mom directly yet... he did invade my home and ruin the driveway... which is nothing compared to what he's capable of...yet...HE is the reason why we can't go home.
I'm tired of being afraid and useless. I do need to defend myself though and if he dies while I'm doing that then...so be it... I never even killed some one before... what if even through all that training I still can't do it? I don't have any intentions on backing out now...but I at least want to talk to my mom first... let her know that I love her and that I may be killed during this training... "I still want to do this Freya, I need to talk to my mom quickly and then I shall come back here..." with that she sinks in he shadow and find her mother's shadow in the shadow realm it felt most familiar to her and there wasn't any doubt that it was her. Mrs. Smith was getting ready for dinner. She was brushing her hair then saw two arms come around from behind. She was a little startled as they hugged her. Her breath was steady again. "Oh, Trinity, it's you thank goodness." she was a bit jumpy from this morning's occurrence. "I was about to head over to your room to see if you were available for dinner." "Mom, I need to talk to you about something." she holds her mother's arm. She wanted to join her for dinner but couldn't she told Freya she would be back shortly. She has her mom's attention she doesn't know how to say this. Her mother notices and tries to break the ice with a question. "What's Freya like?" "She's nothing like her brother that's for sure. She has been teaching me how to defend myself... hand to hand combat wise and with a different teaching method I may be able to get to their level in a short amount of time." "How exciting! You'll be able to help the others in no time." her eyes sparkle and sh smiles proudly. Which made it harder to tell her the last part. Trinity's eyes lowered then look to her mom "Yeah...exciting alright. So much so I may be killed in the process." Her mom's eyes sadden and her smile faded. "I see. I also see your set on your decision" she sighs "I'm afraid no matter what I say you're going to do it any way" She hugs her mom tight a tear crawls down her cheek, "I love you mom. I feel I have to do this. Let dad know I love him too... I have to go." Her mom holds her tight until she disappears in her shadow. She drops to her knees and cries silently. "Alright Freya, I'm ready to go." she emerges from the dark corner of the room.

Freya nods with quiet appreciation to Trinity. She steps up to her student and says, "You have the heart of a dragon Trinity. I have no doubt that you will succeed in this trial."
She walks behind Trinity and wraps her arms over her shoulders and in front of her chest gently. She whispers into Trinity's ear, "Clear your mind Trinity. I know you are scared, but that is what the beast feeds on...well, that and souls. You may see tings that cast me and my brother in a different light. Please do not think any less of us because of it. We were young and foolish. Now...here we go."
She pulls Trinity into the shadow realm. Freya initiates the connection, causing the world in front of Trinity to change. "We'll start off slow. You're about to experience our first lesson in survival training. Teshou and I were led out into the woods surrounding our home when we were eight. Our father stranded us there with only a kunai knife between the two of us, and our wits, for a week."
The shadow realm changes into a dense forest during the day. Even though the sun is out, the amount of foliage is keeping everything beneath the trees in the shade. In front of Trinity appears the back of a very young Teshoumaru. He looks over his shoulder back at her. His face is soiled with a mixture of dirt, sweat, and blood. As he walks he says, "You'd better be trying to find us food. You know my nose isn't like yours."

As Freya pointed out she had 'the heart of the dragon' her eyes shifted to the left and thought in sarcasm right. She thought of how heartbroken her mother was about all of this before it was time to clear her mind a tear was forming as she was clearing her mind. As she was pulled into the shadow realm it fell out of her eye leaving a small streak of water which stopped and separated into little droplets.
Her eyes cleared as she saw the area around them shifted into a beautiful forest. She saw a very young version of her sensei. He seemed so clean cut when she met him, but he was completely dirty and sweaty. The sense of smell he spoke of was really picking up his scent and couldn't smell what was currently around them. She steps away and says "right sen- er brother..." it was at this moment she wondered if she would damage the fabric of time if she said something or do something that wasn't supposed to happen yet.
Her thoughts were interrupted as she started to smell something she recognized as a deer she looks in the direction of the source of the scent and saw it. Then something else happened. For a brief moment she was younger version of her ancestor holding a 'spear' a stick with a sharp metal scrap hunting a deer. Then went back to the Freya's memory that was weird...was that supposed to happen?.
She took another sniff and found a wolf near by. "I found our prey, but it looks like someone else has found it too" she says as she points to the two the targets she was talking about.

Freya's voice rings out from inside Trinity's mind, "It looks as though Old Trinity experienced a similar situation. This may happen a few times, but it will only serve to strengthen your training. Double the experience. Now don't worry, you aren't going to create a time paradox. You're going to live my memories in your own way, but if you deviate to far I will pull you out to witness the even from a third person view."
Teshoumaru groans, "Him again! The one lone wolf in this forest and it has to constantly take our food. I don't care what your conscience says Freya, we have to get rid of him if we're going to survive out here. We have no idea when Dad will find us, and it's already been almost seven days."
Another voice chimes into Trinity's mind. It is very childish and simple. The difference between this one and Freya is that it seems to have a very persuasive effect when it is heard. "No no no. I don't want to kill the wolf. I'm kind of a wolf. That would be like murder. But we're hungry, and Teshou is getting mad at us."

Alright, I guess my ancestor wants to help as well...
"No,no,no Teshou! I won't do it, I won't allow it! Killing him would only be like killing yourself we're part wolf! Secondly it will deprive us of a teacher." she walks torward the direction of the wolf in the distance,"Wolves hunt in packs and if this guy hunting alone he'd be more of a scavenger than a hunter. It was probably him in the trash not too long ago. We could join him be part of his pack and learn their strategies in hunting prey as a team. Then we could share the prize." Trinity relied on things she remembered from watching the nature channel.
She hoped that Teshou would find her reasoning made some sense. Though she was kind of uncertain it would all work out. Then she started to wonder how they were going to communicate with the lone wolf and started to wonder if Freya could talk to him.

Freya audibly chuckles, "Welcome to my world Trinity. That voice you just heard is what I have to deal with on a daily basis. Okami is always putting in her two cents, and She has a way of making me do and say things I wouldn't normally do. How funny, I didn't think you'd experience that as well."
Teshoumaru spins around and faces Trinity. He snaps, "You're the one who's part wolf dummy. I didn't get the curse like you did. Dad doesn't have to look out for me like he does you." There is a hint of jealousy in his voice.
He reaches into his belt and pulls out a kunai knife. "If that wolf gets in our way again, I'll kill him. If you can make him go away somehow, then do it."
Freya sighs, "What Dad was trying to teach us back then was that if something got in your way, and refused to yield, then there is little choice in the matter. It has to be removed. Leviathan Cortez is an unyielding brute. If he can't be stopped by any other means then he must be killed."
Teshoumaru starts to run in the direction of the two animals ahead. The deer is cornered against a high cliff wall. The wolf is haggard and angry, it's eyes red with blood lust and fury. Teshoumaru swallows hard and brings the knife out in front of him. He shouts, "H-hey you! Get away from out food!"

Trinity looks down feeling ashamed, and it didn't help that Teshou's words were harsh but rang true. She realizes her mistake,Shoot, I forgot, that whole thing happens to him later... She wondered if Okami could hear her thoughts, I'm running out of ideas Okami and the wolf isn't helping his case any. Trinity rushes and stands next to Teshou, "Stop, please stop! You can have my share." she feels like she was drawing straws here sweatdrop
There must be away to resolve the situation without killing...aside from the deer... at least

The wolf glares at Trinity, it's eyes feral. It makes a series of growls and barks. Teshoumaru stands his ground, but to Trinity it sounds like, "Share, no share, only eat. You smell funny, wrong, bad, familiar. Human threatens me, the human will die."
The wolf leaps at Teshoumaru with it's jaws open. The boy stumbles backwards at the attack and falls. The knife falls into the leaves close to him. The wolf lands on top of him, snapping and snarling. Teshoumaru screams, pushing back on the wolf's neck.

Trinity wasn't about to just watch while the wolf kills him. As the wolf attacks Teshou she realized there was just no reasoning with the beast. She rams herself at the wolf's side to steer him away from Teshou.
Sorry Okami... I have no choice, I'm not letting him kill Teshou!
She gets on top of the wolf and tries to help Teshou get the jaws away from him by pulling on the wolf's neck.
She speaks to the wolf, "Sorry buddy but if you threaten, Teshou, YOU will die!"

The wolf has lost his mind. These things were getting in the way of his food. He snarls and snaps at Teshoumaru, swiping at the young boy with his claws.
Teshoumaru screams as the claws tear at his clothes and into his skin. He cries out, "Kill him Freya, use the knife!"

As the blood leaked from the wolf's throat, her eyes were closed and tears fell from her eyes. Her hands were covered in his blood. Even though she would normally regarded this as just killing a beast she felt that she was killing her own kind.
It.. doesn't make sense, why do I feel so bad? Teshou is safe isn't he? I did the right thing...then why do I feel so bad... why do I feel sorry for this creature?
She steps away from the body and covers her face with her hands. Her face was covered by the wolf's blood.

Bottles, glass vials and other materials began to crash down to the floor as Alix nearly screamed. “Damn it! Where the hell do these idiots hide the good stuff!” He exploded as he threw a clipboard across the hospital room, slamming into the wall just to the left of the door. Frowning he turned away from the cupboards he was in front of and sighed leaning against the wall.
A smile crossed his face as he noticed two figures standing by the door way, well, one was standing the other, was being held. “Ah, I see you found my...” Pausing for a moment Alix bit his bottom lip, he didn't want to call her his property, not just yet. She knew she belonged to him but, there was no reason for this newcomer to know that he was a slaver. “My friend, I am grateful for that. She ran off and I could not find her.”
Moving towards Lily and the unknown person he glanced around the room. “Give her to me, don't worry. I can keep he safe.” His voice came out sort of caring as he extended his arms to take her from the unknown party. His frown began to slowly disappear as a smile appeared on his face. He had in fact lost her, but at least now he was closer to getting her back. Closer than he had ever been.

Behind Trinity appeared a tall and dark figure draped in dark clothing. He gently lays his hand on her shoulder and says softly to her. "I know it hurts now Freya, but in time you will come to understand why this had to be done. Your remorse is normal, it is never easy to take a life. Even the life of an animal that has lost his mind."Teshoumaru stands and looks up at the man behind Trinity. "Father? I don't understand..."

To Trinity, even though he didn't know Freya's father she knew exactly who he was when he heald her shoulder. After he spoke she holds his hand and looks up at him with her blood covered face.
"Okami didn't want me to kill him *sniff* it didn't help that I'm part wolf. I don't think I feel the same *sniff* about hunting a deer. *sniff* It was like I was killing my own kind."
She restrains herself from hugging him for she didn't want to cover him up in blood as well. She wondered if they were going home now. She wanted to take a bath so bad. The smell of the blood on her face was driving her nuts.
