Raquel was still holding onto Damian as Cosette left, feeling rahter strange about the whole encounter. Not bad, just strange. She wasn't sure what to say, but simply looked back at Lorey confused.

The morning had come quickly and briskly as it felt strangely cold out. But that was alright, for Raquel nad Damian were enjoying a warm cup of coffee as the gentle silence took over them.

Yet it was arubtly ended by the door being slammed into. Raquel cocked an eyebrow, going to unlock the door cautiously. In tumbled a haggard but excited Richard. He had a little bit of a peach fuzz on his face from not shaving for two days, but his eyes sparkled with life. "Ah Raquel!" He grabbed her in a hug, swinging her around and kissing her cheek before running to Damian. He shook his hand excitedly, pulling him into a rough hug as well. "Where's Lorey!?" he demanded in a hushed but excited voice.

Raquel was taken aback as she entered the kitchen, touching her face confused. "In her room I think but w-" but it was too late. He was already gone, down the hall towards lorey's room.

But just as he was about to rush in, he stopped himself, calming himself down to act casual as he gently rapped on the door. "Lorey? Lorelee Love, I'm back..." he called gently, not wanting to wake her but still really wishing to talk to her.

Richard couldn't help himself. He scooped her up and spun her around, cradling her in his arms. "As did I you..." he whispered to her, kissing her deeply. After a moment he finally forced himself to pull back, and set her down.
"Darling I know this is sudden but when can you take a few days off??" He asked, his hands on her shoulders, his brown eyes looking as tired as hers but still so full of excitement and life.


Raquel leaned against the arch way looking jsut as confused. "I'd say so..." She laughed shaking her head. "They are so cute you know...?" She smiled to herself as she saw Richard pick a sleepy Lorey up, and disapear into her room.

Richard smiled till his face hurt. "I have a surprise for you!" He exclaimed, feeling as jumpy as a child. "I ran into a wonderful place I want to take you to... its so beautiful Lorey you'd love it!" he gripped her arms a bit tighter out of excitement but made sure not to hurt her.


Raquel smiled, shaking her head. "Well whatever it is... its nice to see him back. I know I'd go crazy without you too long..." She sighed, sauntering over to give him a hug. "I love you remember?" She laughed to herself, leaning up to kiss him sweetly.

Richard persed his lips, looking her dead in the eye. "Trust me...It's worth it...." He said softly but seriously. He wanted so badly to just tell her about the surprise right then and there but knew he had to wait. He just let that thought sink in before breaking his thoughts. "But, until then...I need a shower. Bad." He said, gettin a wiff of himself. "And a shave maybe." He rubbed his chin roughly.


Raquel touched his lips with her finger tips to be coy, but instead, her eyes flashed dark. She blinked a few times, hoping he didn't notice as she brought him in for another hug. It was as if her body responded to the change of emotion inside him. She furrowed her brow, not liking when her Amaranthian side kicked in without warning.
But what was that she felt in him... guilt? Resentment? and something deeper. She tried to ignore it but it just didn't seem right to her. She was afraid though that now he'd notice since her body was tensing up more than she'd like.

Richard nodded, still so giddy. But as soon as she dissapeared he went to strip off his clothes and relish in a nice hot shower.

Raquel pulled away, not really sure herself. "You tell me..." She looked up at him with a confused, worried look on her face, her eyes flashed once before she let go of him completely. She could hear Lorey heading there way. "Um-...I'm going to go make up my bed and maybe read a little..." She stuttered, annoyed with herself.
She leaned up and brushed Damian's lips breifly, pulling away without another look or word to go to her room.

Raquel sighed, slightly frustrated herself. She made the bed, barely paying attention to what she was doing. She hated how things always seemed fine between them, but really weren't. She only thought they weren't bc she oculd feel it in Damian. She didn't want to feel it. It was her stupid 'gift' that told her something was wrong, not Damian. maybe they were spending too much time together? no that couldn't be it... she wasn't sure. And it was bothering her.
To take her mind off it, she plopped down in the window seat, slipping her glasses on, and pulling out a book she had been working on.


Richard finally emereged from the shower, checking to see if Lorey had left. He was dressed and still tired as he joined Damian in the living room. "Oh God Mate do I have the best surprise planned for Lorey!" He cried with a sigh as he plopped onto a near by couch.
