Logan smiled lightly at Marie's blushes, vaguely able to notice them in the candlelight illuminating near them. "A hot shower would be heavenly, right about now. As would a warm and comfortable bed." He agreed, watching her bundle up even further. Absent-mindedly, he tried to remember if any mud had gotten on the jacket. It wouldn't be nice to give her a dirty jacket... and he was sure his clothes were clean, and that his body didn't smell bad, so the jacket shouldn't smell bad, if anything.

The power came on yet again, and this time it stayed on. The blast of light caused Logan to wince a little again, but he had medication in his system, and it was helping. Glancing around at some of the cheers from students, he looked back to Marie, pulling his mask down to get a drink of tea, before smiling to her. "Well- since it seems like the generators were fixed, for the most part... Would you like to see if we can escape from here and I escort you to your dorm so you can get warm and get some rest?"

Marie watched the lights flicked and come one for good. Sipping her cocoa, she felt a little more embaressed at her appearance.
"That would be lovely. Thanks," Marie said after thinking about it a moment.

Marie finished her drink and warmed up quite a bit. Despite the fact she would be cold again, marie was strangly excited for the walk to her room. she knew he couldn't probably hang out because of all the things in her room that have memories and been touched quite a bit.

"May we go?" Marie asked, beginning to get up.

Logan admired Marie a little more as she seemed embarrassed... Her blush was quite a bit more prominent in the normal light, and it made him almost giddy, in a sense. It was... a nice feeling. When she asked him if they could go, he blushed a bit and nodded, grinning to himself a little. "Yes. The air conditioning will freeze you even further... we wouldn't want you stuck in the Medical Facility anytime soon."

Standing, Logan grabbed her empty cup and led her to the front of the cafeteria, where he busted the cups for them. Asking a teacher if they could take an umbrella and head back to their rooms, he was given a yes. He was also given a flashlight, in case the power went out again. A smile to Marie and he wandered over and grabbed an umbrella, shivering lightly now that the air conditioning was back on. "Ready to face the storm once more before tomorrow?"

"Yes, I suppose so. Better get it over with," Marie adjusted her hood and shivered lightly. "I don't want to be in the infirmary either... especially with the dance coming up and all. That wouldn't be too fun."

Marie opened the door since Logan had both hands full with the flashlight and umbrella. She waited for him to pass and for th eumbrella to open before slipping under it.

"Even witht he power on inthe buildings, its still very dark. The storm is blocking all the stars and the moon," Marie pointed out shifting closer in the umbrella to avoid rain, but watching her distance from Logan as well.

"I just hope the flashlight won't be needed. I don't want it to be that dark." Logan took a deep breath, relaxing a little though the air was cold and damp outside. It was also free of people's memories- clear air, despite the closeness of Marie beside him. He was almost hyper-aware of her there, and he made sure to keep her covered as best as he could. At least she could go to the dance, so even if he caught a cold, something would have been accomplished.

"Ah... Uhm... Marie..?" A question suddenly came to mind as he thought about the dance, and Logan wasn't sure if he really wanted the answer, or not. "Er... Who are you going to the dance with?" The question came a bit tentatively, almost nervously. His cheeks reddened, and he grimaced a bit. "Never mind... stupid question." he didn't want to know... No- he didn't, shouldn't, care. Marie could do as she pleased, could talk to whom she pleased, and go to the dance with whomever she pleased.

Besides, he'd rather her enjoy herself. It wasn't like it'd be interesting sitting around with him, doing who knows what just because the word 'dance' usually meant being in close quarters with someone, and that was a 'no' for him. "What kind of homework assignments did you have today? I have a bit of an essay due on Friday... Kind of to sum up what I know about the English Language so the teachers know what to work with me on."

Marie blushed slightly in a bit of embaressment about the dance question. She didn't have anyone to actualyl go with. As soon as Logan mentioned it though, he changed the subject about homework.

"Ah... crud, I cna't remember, really. I know I need to continue memorizing for Anatomy for sure. Japanese had a book assignment, I believe. I didn't get to go to all of my classes though, so I'm sure I have more homework than I am aware of."

Marie looked off at the nearing dorm. Glancing at Logan after a long silence of thinking, she said, "I'm not going to the dance with anybody. Not that I don't want to go with anyone or anything... I just never got asked." She haphazardly shrugged.

Logan was quiet for a few moments before he sighed softly. "You should ask someone to go with you. Going alone isn't nearly as fun, I think. Because- what's the point in going to a dance when you don't have anyone to dance with?" he noted that his hand was holding onto the umbrella a little tighter than it needed to, and he slowly loosened his grip a bit. He gave off a light yawn, slowly trying to relax again.

"Anyways... we're almost to your dorm building. Would you like the flashlight, in case the power goes out? I can always head to the medical facility if it goes out while I'm still outside." He kept the umbrella mostly above her still, even as he walked a little bit ahead so he could open the door for her.

"Well, there's no guy here a really trust enough that I'd know they would say yes... you know? I don't want to go with someone who I don't really feel comfortable with, nor do I feel like being shot down on the second day of school," Marie tried to joke.

She was convienced Logan would not go with her if she asked because crowds, loud music... it defiantly did not go with his scene because of her mutation. she also didn't want to even attempt to ask because even if he said yes, she'd feel bad if something happened.

"You keep the flashlight. You're outside and you need it. I'm sure I'll make it to my room fine dark or light." She then pondered a moment as she began to slowly slip through the open door.

"Well," Marie glanced at him and sniffled a little, "I could always skip the dance and we could have our movie...
date... thing..."

Or... yeah," Marie finished her sentence weak.

She changed the subject as she played with his jacket. "I'll wash this and get this back to you tomorrow, yeah?" Marie was blushing quite deeply, but made her face be serious.

Logan could feel his mood drop a little when Marie said there wasn't anyone there she trusted enough to ask to the dance. Sure, he would say no- but he'd compensate for it and would make sure it wasn't 'shooting her down'. He just had Mutation issues. He nodded a little numbly when she told him to hold onto the flashlight, and he looked to it for a moment. His eyes widened when she suggested they do their movie thing on the night of the dance. He looked up at her with surprise, even as she changed the subject.

His cheeks heated up, almost as deeply as Marie's. "Y-Yeah... Uh, okay. Whenever... Whenever you want to give it back is fine." his dropped mood shifted to a grin spreading across his lips under the mask covering his mouth and nose. "I... If it's okay with you, and if nobody... asks you to the dance, that sounds like a perfect time to do the... er... movie... date... thing..." his cheeks deepened their color a bit, and he found his eyes moving nervously to the ground, his toes curling in their shoes.

There was a bit of an awkward silence, before Logan looked up at Marie again, a bit of a determined expression on his face. "Marie, I... If I could... handle going... I would ask you to the dance. But... as you know, my.. Mutation makes it difficult." his voice trailed off a little, but before his nerve left him completely, he carefully snagged her hand and kissed the back of it, his face mask protecting him from her memories, though a haze of them sort of buzzed in the back of his head until he pulled away.

"I'll work on my wall so the next time a dance comes around... I will be able to ask you to it. Goodnight, Marie. Sweet dreams." He offered a bow that got his back soaked from the drip from the umbrella splashing on him, but he didn't care. He made sure she was safely dry and inside the building, before he made his second nervous escape of the day, his top teeth worrying at his bottom lip a bit.

What he said was completely true, but he wondered if Marie thought him foolish for it. Maybe she didn't like him enough to have been comfortable with the minor kiss on her hand? Maybe she'd hate him after this... stop talking to him...
He flipped on the flashlight and pointed it at the ground while he walked so he would have something to focus on.

"Yes, that sounds prefect then," Marie answered to the date statement. When Logan began to explain further the dance thing, Marie merely was confirmed of her thoughts. "Logan... I understand comepletely. Hell, I was mute for quite awhile... and I would like to be able to speak in my normal voice someday without effecting people. We all have our goals and limitations. I knew better than to ask you and put you in that position or saying "yes" and possibly having you head explode, or having to here you say "no" out load." Marie laughed lightly.

She was suddenly taken about by the taking of her hand... and the kiss...

Marie flushed and attempted to squeeze his fingers a moment when he bent to kiss, to show it was appreciated, but being so taken aback, she wasn't sure if her hand actually made the action.

She watched him leave with his words about next time and she stilfled out a weak goodnight that he most likely didn't hear.

Closing the door, she watched him walk intot he darkness. Hi was merely a beam of light across the lawn when she finally turned around... and began jumping up and down. "EEEEEeeeee!!!!!" she squealed before running up the stairs to her room, almos tripping a few times. These trips are only signs of how out of it she was. Being a dancer she rarely ever tripped up.

In her room she stripped down and got into a nice hot, hot shower. When she finished this sing-songy adventure, she took her homework and wet clothes down the hall to the laundry facilities. She studied Logan's jacket before reluctantly puttingit in the wash. While her clothes washed, she sat in sweat pants and another clean hoodie doing all her school work.

When all that done Marie went back to her room, being sure Logan's hoodie was protected from her direct touch.

As she crawled into bed marie stared and the vitamin's pn her bed side table, considering whether to take some or not. If she got sick... she definatly wouldn't go to the dance. But she didn't want to be sick with Logan. Eventually she took two, turned out the lights and went to sleep, thinking of tomorrow's possiblities.

Logan was very much shivering when he got into his dorm room, but it wasn't completely from cold. He still had his worries, but in the end he just felt a bit giddy. She had wanted to hang out with him instead of going to the dance. She didn't look appalled that he'd kissed her hand. Even if he hadn't left much room for her to speak... he didn't see any dislike for him in the events that happened.

Getting into his room after dropping off the flashlight and the umbrella on a table by the front door of the building, he locked his door behind him, took a deep breath, and slowly let it out. Afterward, he found himself laughing with his face buried in his hands. Composing himself after a few minutes, he went and took a shower, warming up and cleaning himself off from the mud he'd had to trek through to get to the dorms. His cheeks were aflame as he thought about his able closeness with Marie that night...

When he finished with his shower, Logan changed into a clean set of pajamas and brushed his teeth, before settling on doing a bit of his homework. He couldn't focus very well, though, and just wound up setting his alarm and going to bed.

((Sorry for taking so long to respond. I'll try to place this event a little in the past of your current conversation.))

Disturbing Tale Teller

Tess was chewing on a piece of steak when something was flung towards him, and he barely managed to catch the glimpse of it, before moving to the side. The water burst against the wall, soaking him to the core again, as well as dousing his food in water. A low growl rumbled from his chest and he stood, picking up the soggy meat. There were a few lanterns and some candles playing at the edges of his vision, as well as a boy who seemed to be glowing, but he spotted the standing girl well enough.

Wandering over to the girl, he held up his damp steak, baring his teeth a little. "Do you enjoy ruining peoples' dinners?" Tess asked with a growl. He'd finish eating it, no doubt, but only because he hadn't eaten anything all day. He slapped the meat on the plate he held and his fur bristled as he towered over her.

Before the power came back on...

Kazuko stood tall, holding her ground against the large wolf-boy and tried not to realize just how much larger he was than her. She was certainly tall, larger than most girl's her age, but there was definitely more of him than her.

"And do you enjoy it too?" she snapped right back at him, gesturing to her table as evidence. If one looked closely, one could see the remnants of water on some of the food there, what Kazuko didn't pick up with her powers. Some of the typically solid food, like the bread on her sandwich, looked a little soggy. "You ruined all of our dinners when you shook on them- you could have done that away from the tables! I was just returning the favor." She crossed her arms and glared at Tess.

"You chose to sit at the front! It would've happened eventually, anyways." Tess snorted with a bit of a growling tone. "Or is it too dark for you to figure it out? Or are you dense? It wasn't as if there was anywhere else I could've done it, and it wasn't as if I intentionally did it just to ruin your food." He turned up his nose as he glanced to her meal. Even if it smelled pretty okay, it never sated his hunger like raw meat did.

"So- are you going to apologize to me, or not? Of course- we could always take things outside..." the lights had flickered on and off, the first time, and it showed mostly everyone paying attention to them that he was definitely looking down at her from his height. It also notified the Headmistress of their quarrel, and he could feel waves of calm heading in their direction. He ignored it, still staring Kazuko down.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 05, 2008 12:38 pm

He was right. There wasn't really any place to completely dry off, but Kazuko decided not to let this get in the way of her argument.

"Well I hadn't gotten soaked from anyone else coming in! And you could've shook with a little more tact, instead of scaring people and snickering!" She continued to glare up at him for a moment, collecting her thoughts. Her eyes glanced at the raw steak he was holding. It did look wet, and she felt a little regret. But it also looked ve3ry unappealing to her.

"I'll apologize for ruining your dinner if you apologize for ruining mine," she stated flatly. Her initial anger seemed to be running thin, perhaps caused by the headmistress's powers; Kazuko was not aware of her observing the situation, however.

"I will not apologize for something that isn't my problem." Tess growled in response. He was fighting against the calm, gritting his teeth to keep his annoyance still there. He lifted the steak and took a large bite out of it, ignoring the water dripping down his chin. It was almost like watching someone cut a piece of fresh-baked bread. The simple movements of his teeth biting down on the meat. He chewed while he stared at her and then turned his back, annoyed that the Headmistress was clearing her throat nearby.

Tess tromped off back to his corner to finish eating. He noted the Headmistress giving him a disapproving look, and he ignored her. Sometime after he finished his steak, the power came back on and didn't flicker off. He ignored stares as he guzzled his water down and sighed.
