Looking down at the kid Aoshiro took a step back as he knew his Jewels might have been in danger and that was something he didn't even wanted to think about. Deep inside he knew the kid wasn't done for, could it be this kid was a berserker like Koy from Konoha ? The one woman his teacher talked about all day and all night. Possibilities were thin but he still wanted to prove it. And thus a decision was taken.
"Hey kid...do you want to become strong ?"
He asked as he looked down at the kid from within his blindfold showing no emotions at the moment. His hands go back into his cloak as he awaits the kid's answer.

Raine looking down into the grass, he thought of rock spike thrust again. Assessing the area, there was a stone close by. It would do... but the strangers voice cut his thought. "Hey kid...do you want to become strong?" He glared, looking up to the man, having stepped back he was at a good distance. Lavi always said that to him... Hey kid... "I'll become strong no matter what! To beat people like you." he stood remembering what Xen had said. "I give up. Any real man knows when to admit defeat." and he thought back to the kage's and jounin he had faced without a blink. The boy stood, he sidestepped slowly toward the rock, he could use it if he really needed. "And I'll never give up, even if you melt my head!"

Aoshiro looks at the kid and starts laughing loudly as he hears the kid's words. For some reason those words seemed to be the words of every genin who crossed paths with him. However this one at least had talent. Aoshiro was indeed strong, maybe stronger than every person who held the Kage title at the moment. However as strong as he was he really wasn't the kind of person that enjoyed hurting others. But all in all maybe this kid needed to be beaten down a bit before he understood the meaning of real strength.
"Hey kid, you know...words are nothing...the words that come out of your mouth they all go with the wind. Coming at me saying you will become stronger to beat people like me...heh I be truthful if you faced me as an enemy you wouldn't have much the light would leave your sight...the air your lungs and life your empty soul..."
He walks closer to the kid as he shacked his head in signal of don't try anything or I will kill you. Aoshiro wasn't one to play with others he was one that made people realize the true regardless of how sad this truth could be.
"You are naive...you are weak...all in all you are a hopeless kid who thinks acting cool is the path to real strength...if I had been serious back there you would now be nothing more than dust...think about that...think about how easy is to talk and how easy is to die...words mean nothing actions mean everything..."
He turns around and starts walking away from the little helpless kid without much more to say. Although the offer was still up he did what he had to do and was now on him to accept or forfeit.

Raine stood across from him so unsure of the situation around him, he only knew there was an enemy, a threat to him. As the man went on though, Raine couldn't help but feel like this guy wasn't even trying. Why would he want to mug him? Why would he say these things. The small boy went into overload, his hand dropping his side, as he stared out at the man. What could he do?
The man's words hit home, about him being weak... hopeless. Raine watched as he turned. "Who.. who are you?" the boy shook his head, but the man was walking away. He felt as if electricity had left the air, and that the power pulled him closer. His money lay on the ground, untouched... there had to be some deeper meaning to all this. He was getting farther now, Taking a deep breath, Raine held his blades tight, grabbing his backpack and his money. The small boy raced after him, nearing him. "Stop." the boy stood behind him, looking up. "I don't want to be weak. I know I am and I'll do anything to change that. Besides... you didn't take my money. I just figured you would need it more. I wanted to show you another way than hurting me." he said realizing that it wasn't about the money at all it was about the act of giving it to someone who had just threatened his life. He knew there was something very, very different about this person.

The man turned around to look at Raine and simply stood there in silence for a few minutes. Not wanting to have to beat the s**t out of the kid he realized the little Raine had matured maybe even a little bit. And thus he felt like he had finally found his first student, someone worthy of fighting in the name of Oto.
"Huh...seems like you almost figured it out eh...you were terrible back there...people who mug others don't come around wearing blindfolds you know, nor do they walk perfectly around with such things on eh ?"
He laughed a bit contemplating how this kid fell for the same mistake that he did when he was under Mahiro's training himself. Yet this kid had something about him that was kind of refreshing.
"Also, if you wanted to show me something by giving me your money why hurt me in the first place, I bet you felt like you have won and you were better than the person who mug you so in other to rise your own ego you throw the money like if the person was garbage... You should know that just because you can beat someone now doesn't mean that you are better than that person...also you should know that this world we live in and the path we walk on is filled with lies and deceives so you need to learn who you trust and who you kill is the law of life itself little one"

Raine almost had to set his eyes to the ground, when he spoke. He didn't want to treat anyone like garbage, the boy lifted his head to object to what the man had to say about how he didn't think he was better than anyone, but kept quiet in stead. He seemed contradicted in everything that he did, and it was just better to stop. Even being called little one didn't bother him now. What an odd person this was. When he had finished, Raine stepped up closer to the man,"Why did you try and mug me? What do you want? Besides, I've never seen you here in Oto before." he suddenly thought about how strong this guy could have been, and what his possible intentions were. "Hey, you better not be doing anything bad either in oto. We won't let you do bad things like mug people, this is the sound and people here are better than that. I just want you to know." he went off with his own nine-year-old point of view. Biting his lip and squinting up at the older boy.

Aoshiro was asked the unexpected. He seriously didn't believe this man was as dumb as he was acting, or more like as slow as he was acting. Didn't the guy figured Aoshiro just wanted to test his skills... was it so difficult for him to do such an easy thing ? Without much time to answer Aoshiro simply replies:
"I don't mug people, as you can see by the way I dress...I don't need money...also someone with my lvl of skill would rob someone with higher things to offer not just son random kid so...don't worry...as for my intentions I decided I wanted to train you...for no reason just felt like it, if you don't want to train with me then is fine you can go back and live as you will"
He replied with a serious tone as he started to walk faster toward the mountains, the only place he felt relaxed at.

Raine was taken by surprise. He knew all of this, but just hadn't quite put it all together, but the training? He had expected nothing of the sort. Though this guy obviously was very powerful, and he didn't seem like a threat anymore. Maybe.... Raine saw the wind concentrating in the guy's hand. Quickly looking, up his fingers still locked around the Aian Nakkurru. He stepped into motion catching up to the man, but staying just behind a bit wary. He couldn't think of anything to say, and he had no clue where they were going, maybe off towards the mountains?
"Raine. I'm Tekkenseisai Raine." his voice cut the sound of their foot steps crushing up against the leaves as they walked out through the trees the ground became stepper the farther he went, and he couldn't help feel excited and unsure at the same time.

Kimiko stared in disbelief at the figure who wore her face. Seeing it earlier upon the door was strange enough, but this one looked flesh and blood, she could tell almost no difference between herself wearing a suit and hat, and this girl. "I am the mad hatter... and a very merry unbirthday to you." The slightly sinister girl stated. "Come sit down won't you...mother?"
"Why are you calling me that?" Kimiko challenged, staring at her double with hostility.
"Oh come now, we've been over this before... haven't we? But I suppose I'm not the same as then." The dark Kimiko gestured to the chair nearest the real Kimiko, at the opposite end of the long table from her. "Sit...you cannot pass until the gate opens at the right time." she pointed behind her. Sure enough the was a large clock shaped gate, the sun shimmering through it... apparently if she wanted to continue her search for the queen, then she'd have to play this things game...

The mad hatter smiled as Kimiko sat down, her own feet propping up on the table "So...who are you really?" Kimiko challenged "Are you like some dark alter ego or somthin..." she was trying to seem tough, which actually served more to make her appear adorable.
The Hatter laughed. "Dark alter ego," The hatter said, her voice identical to Kimiko's "No, not quite, I'm not an ego at all, I'm more of a...shadow."
Kimiko's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean by that?"
"The technical term for a shadow is a dark facet or self that is not acknowledged or controlled by the ego...we learned that from school remember?"
Kimiko frowned. As a matter of fact she did... "But... then...what made you in the first place? I'm no expert but don't bad things happen to make stuff like you?"

The mad hatter took a sip of her tea. "Hmmm, something bad...maybe...not that you'd remember." Kimiko raised an eyebrow, but her shadow went on without explanation of her remark. "I wasn't born from any event, at least, that's not what fed me..." she interlocked her fingers. "It's your hidden desire."
Kimiko's mind went to a certain something, her face going red. "Hey that wasn't, I mean that wasn't something that...it was just-"
"I wasn't referring to that." The mad hatter noted, Kimiko calming for a moment before the shadow went on "Though that's some part of it." Kimiko went on edge again. "For all your worship of heroes, for all your indulgence of good, you secretly wonder what it would be like to be wicked. To live only for your desires, to take whatever you wanted, to not be held back those vicious little morals...to lust for power." she pointed to Kimiko "While you keep it locked away, deep down you hunger for it... you long for the light in you to die, and your darkness to fill you..."

Kimiko stood up angrily "You have no idea what your talking about! I don't feel anything like that!" She looked passionate again. "You're nothing but a sliver of my soul that's been shut out by my amazing heroism! Besides, even if your telling the truth, there's no way I'll ever give in to such a desire, no way!"
The Mad hatter just smiled. "You still haven't remembered your destiny... but that's okay. It can wait." The clocks all rang and the gates out of the garden opened."You may go."
Kimiko made her way past her shadow warily, her eyes never leaving it and her fists at the ready, but the Mad hatter didn't move from her seat, and Kimiko past though the garden, leaving it behind. Kimiko just shrugged off this strange encounter, she'd meant every word she'd said, even if such a shadow did exist inside her... it didn't matter.
The Mad hatter tilted it's hat down it's smile sickening "We'll see... Mother."

Kimiko walked the road, the mansion falling further and further behind. The sun still her destination, she marched on. Oddly enough, time had a strange way of... phasing together here. No matter how she tried to establish how much time had past, the knowledge just seemed to slip away from her, she felt she hadn't been here very long... but, maybe that was because it was a dream.
She crossed the country side, following the dirt road until she at last came to a large filed of flowers, these more bright and sunny than those that had been at the mansion. They were wild flowers, and the air held a sense of peace about it... as she was about half way through though, something caught her eye.

Walking about in a circle on the path, were two rather bewildered looking people. They seemed completely at a loss of what to do, and were talking amongst one another.
"I simply don't know what to do Dee."
"Nor I sister Dum, nor I." The pair looked one either side of the path. Kimiko finally realized that these two were indeed someone she knew, both the same one in fact.
"Mariaye'?" Kimiko asked aloud.
Both versions of her former friend turned as one. "Oh look sister Dee!" said one of the two, "A traveler has come to assist us."
"Why yes sister Dum, I do believe I you are correct let us greet them."
"Indeed." Kimiko took a step back out of sheer bewilderment as the pair of identical Mariaye''s approached, twin stupid grins on their faces. As one the pair addressed her, now standing in front of her with excited obliviousness. "Hello! Our names are," The first pointed to herself "Tweedle Dee," the second then pointed to herself in the same manner "And I am Tweedle Dum."
Kimiko at first thought she was going to have trouble telling the two apart, but she noted her baseball caps, the were wearing them tilted in opposite directions. She'd go by that.

The two tweedles were now running around her in a circle, reciting gleefully "A traveler, a traveler, a traveler!" much to Kimiko's dismay. These two were a great deal more annoying than the genuine article... but... it felt strange to see her like this. She hadn't been on friendly terms with her for a very long time, and in a way she was glad to see her smiling like this. Still... she really was on the dim side here... and when Kimiko thought that about you... she suddenly got indignant that she'd called herself dim.
She kinda got the gist though, that people acted differently in this...dream. Like how Maboroshi had acted... they seemed to be... really far off versions of themselves.
