Jack knew he had to get Sun to the caves before he could alert the others, unless they happened upon someone else along the way. Jack felt a few raindrops hit his face every few minutes as they walked. He once again was in full on worry mode. Will we all be ok through this? Will the caves be safe enough? He attempted to hurry his pace, but knew he didn't want to hurt Sun by walking too fast.

Sun could feel the change in Jack's temperment. It emanated from him like his body heat. Sun quickened her pace a little bit to accompany Jack's long strides.
"It's okay, Jack. We have some time. The storm will not come for a little while yet," Sun said firmly.
The last thing Jack needed were more worries. Sun could feel the warm summer rain hit her skin as they strode through the jungle. At least the winds were calm. So far, so good.

Jack smiled at Sun, "You know me though...worry, worry, worry..." Jack slowed his pase, Sun was right they had some time. He cursed the island in his mind. It had the power to bring them all together, and for that he was greatful, but at what cost? How many more of them would lose their lives and souls to this hell diguised as paradise? He glanced back at Sun. She almost died earlier today, and he knew it wouldn't be the last time. What would happen to him if she died? if Kate died? if any of them died? Would he lose his mind or emotionlessly react the way a doctor is ment to, and view it as the circle of life?

((Love the introspect there! Nice avvie, by the way. Holy cow that's like the mother of all clown suits... Looks great! I changed my look, too. Got tired of the old one.))
Sun looked at Jack. She could almost see the gears in his head working. His thoughts were racing a million miles per hour. Sun looked down at the ground, trying to think of something to say.
"I used to be like that, too. All I used to do was worry. About myself, my father, about Jin. I didn't want to see the lighter side of life. I would go on every day thinking of the worst case scenario and how I would cope. If today was any day in the past, I probably would not have held on. I would have let go and died, just to end my suffering. Now I put that out of my mind so that I can see life for what it is. I can't look ahead so much or I will miss the present and it will become the past before I even have time to form memories of it. That scares me, Jack. That I will wake up one day and not remember a year out of my life because I have not stopped worrying. Doesn't that scare you?" Sun asked.
She could see past Jack's hero mask and into his soul. She could see who he really was. It was that person that Sun had fallen for, not the person everyone else came to for everything. The person that put up walls against the pain of reality.
((A little bit into Sun's past. whee ))

((Nice! )) Jack was amazed as always at how open Sun was with her feelings. He supposed he could blame his father for his bottled up emotion. "I have never thought of it that way before...worrying doesn't leave much time for you to think about anything else..." Jack wished he could just let go, but he hadn't learned how quite yet... Deep inside though he vowed to try...Sun's words would echo in his head to remind him.

((I just realized some of the craziest pairings are happening between the two RPs here and the ones in the Barton Town RP Forum. Sun/Jack, Jack/Claire, Shannon/Sawyer. Holy cow. It's so twisted I love it!))
Sun was glad she had finally found the words to show Jack how important it was for him to open his eyes to the world around him. Sun was surprised that he hadn't missed her attraction to him. She smiled up at him as the beach came into view around the next bend.
"We can worry about putting our worries away later. Right now is a good time to worry. Let's make sure that everyone gets into the caves," Sun said.
She stayed close to Jack as they approached the shoreline.

((Wow! Some of those... I didn't see coming! xd I am surprized you didn't say Jin/Hurley, or is that just a guild thing? )) Jack looked around at the people scattered about the beach, and prepared his lungs. He cupped his hands over his mouth, "Listen Up! There is a big storm comming this way! I would highly recommend you guys move up to the caves for the time being! Tell everyone you see, and take only what you need." Jack watched as several people ran off to their shelters to gather supplies and belongings and others headed for the caves. "Lets just hope no one is lurking around the Jungle..."

((I'm pretty sure that's just a guild thing LOL))
Sun was startled by Jack's shout and jumped a little. She saw the beginnings of chaos on the beach as people began to get ready for yet another torrential downpour. As long as no one was on the beach when the lightning came, everything should be fine. Sun tugged on Jack's arm and turned around. They headed back towards the caves.
"I am almost certain that anyone in the jungle would have heard you. There may be a few people in the North Pole that did not hear that, but otherwise..." Sun laughed.
It was just another part of island life. Sun shivered slightly as the increasingly cool rain hit her skin. A breeze had picked up and was whipping the raindrops about. It was going to be a long night.

Jack laughed at the North Pole remark, "Well if they didn't hear me, the polar bears did... Sorry if I startled you by shouting..." Jack saw Sun shivering and moved closer to her to keep her warm. They hurried along the path to the caves, some people ran past them on their way. A few offered to help, but he just waved them off, he could handle this situation at least.
((Oh Meri I know it all too well and I feel your pain... I have a paper for tuesday...a play for thursday...2 sculpture projects for next week monday...AND a presentation to give in 2 weeks... none of which I have started yet... ninja ))

((Boone and Claire are at the beach with the others. They just heard that there's a major storm coming and they should move into the caves. You can move Claire around, since movie_fanatic won't be around for a few days.))
Sun gladly clung more closely to Jack, revelling in the warmth his body provided. They walked towards the caves, being passed by people taking shelter from the rain.
"A little startling never hurt anybody," Sun chuckled.
They walked down the path and soon the caves loomed into view. Once they were inside, Sun led them over to the back of the caves. She let go of Jack and sat on a large rock. Sun wiped the rain off of her arms and wrung out her hair. She laughed a little bit.
"A little rain never hurt anybody, either," Sun smiled.
She motioned for Jack to sit beside her.

Jack smiled, sat next to Sun, and brushed the rain off of his head. "Apparently there are alot of things that don't hurt anybody..." Jack chuckled. He looked over to see her shivering slightly again. "Let me get you something..." Jack grabbed a blanket by where he slept and wrapped it around Sun's shoulders. "We don't want you to catch a cold now, do we?"

Sun smiled and pulled the blanket tighter around herself. It wasn't as warm as Jack's embrace, but it would have to do now that they were drawing a crowd into the caves.
"I am not worried about catching a cold. We are on a deserted island where there are not likely many cold germs and I still drink herbal tea that helps my immunity. What about you? We do not want our doctor falling ill," Sun said.
She pulled some of the blanket over and moved closer to Jack, wrapping it around him. It gave her an excuse to be closer to him. Not that she needed an excuse, but it would help to shake off some spectator curiosity.

"I'm feeling a fine as I can be..." Jack smiled half-heartedly and scooted closer to Sun. He glanced around the cave at the growing crowd, he hoped they would reguard this as two people sharing a conversation and a blanket. At least for the time being... Jack looked outside the caves, Kate didn't appear to be there yet...nor many others, but he knew eventually they would show up...hopefully

Sun followed Jack's gaze. He was looking out into the jungle, undoubtedly worrying about the other survivors. Sun discreetly took his hand under the blanket and gave it a comforting squeeze.
"Whoever is left out there will get here soon, Jack. If they do not then they are smart enough to know not to stand out in the middle of the beach. As long as they are not standing by the water they will be fine," Sun reassured.
She just hoped that she wasn't underestimating some of the survivors.
