A rather nice little arrangement they had going. After all, they could work just as well without any fuss and Isle liked to cook so it worked. She had cooked for her family many a time, what with both parents being busy from time to time. A sniff at the smells of things cooking and she grabbed the bottle of wine from the table and walked over to Galesen, looking at that pan of cooking fish...and pouring a liberal amount of the wine into the pan with the fish, giving a smile up at Galesen. "Now it smells better. Will taste better too."

Fin pulled his sword out of the naga's head. "Its a shame he had to die. He was not such a bad person." Peeking over the body, "Your arrow hit him." He ducked back behind as a larger chunk of magical rock racked across the upper part of the 'lover's body.

THe lich did not seem pleased. He did not look, or act as though he was not emotionally effected by his dead lover. He atually, seemed very distraught. "You... You killed my lover. You kill my lover, and now you must die." If ever Fin had heard a voice that sounded exactly how he pictured death, it was echoing threats at him at this very moment.

"Well, I'd rather die on my feet." Fin smiled at Leaf, "Stay here until I make an opening." He placed a hand on Leaf's shoulder, and a very strong and warm sensation rushed into the woman's body. Her injury seemed a thing of the past now. "You take a shot when you can." He shruged, and leaped over the Naga's dead carcase. The dwarvish sword was already out of its sheaf, so all that was left was to use it.

The lich watched the elf move, and put his palms together. "Die." He uttered, before releasing a very large, and profound looking light from his torso. It formed a wave which horizontally shot out from the lich. Fin tried to cut the light, but his sword merely sliced through air, and the wave hit him pretty hard. He stumbled onto ground, and felt a very sharpe pain through his abdemin. Unable to think of anything else, the elf lunged his whole body at the Lich's legs, tossing the sword almost carelessly into the lich's location. It was swatted aside, and clanked against the floor some distance away. The lich picked up Fin by the neck with his right hand, and held the elf above the ground, chocking the elf. Fin noticed that alot of blood started to pool beneath him, and also noticed that some of the shorter columns from the colinade had tumbled with that last spell.

"I agree." Leaf stomped her foot to test her knee, and it did indeed feel fine. "Cleric." She stated. "Handy." She grabbed two arrows and knocked them as Fin went off, which she did not care for. She was not an archer, usually used this bow for hunting animals, not men (as it were.)

She watched, aiming one arrow for the other eye, the second for the gooey center part of the lich. She restrained herself from trying to help Fin, lest she get in the way and kill them both.

It appeared soon thereafter that the temple might cave in on them. Leaf saw her chance while the Lich was distracted choking poor Fin, and let her arrows fly.

"Maybe, maybe not. Elves get one little ideal stuck in their head and the won't let go of it." She knew, she was half an elf. "Tara-kun must not have liked that. Poor thing."

She pulled at her needle. "Sure I suppose, it couldn't hurt." She tore at the thread with her teeth, and handed the gaurd to Onyx.

Fin felt his body grow very cold, but then the arrows thunked into the Lich's body. The first into his eye, the second into his sternum. That seemed to cause the lich some discomfort, as he found it in his heart to release Fin without snapping the elf's neck first. Fin flopped onto the floor, and felt very cold. The lich, was not so lucky.

Apparently, the lich had become who he is by absorbing the pure element into his body, for several reasons most of which were followed by 'To achieve ulitmate power', and had merge with the relic. His body decomposed, and his eyes became a doorway to the 'light'. Upon sticking the 'weak' spot, Leaf had in essece disruppted the connection between the lich and the element. With the Lich losing the last of his control over the substance, it became unstable in the current form, and destoyed the host's body.

The element floated above the ground, sphereical in shape.

Onyx took it without a question, and vanished out of the room, coming back a whole three minutes later with supplies of bone an dsinew nad sat on the floor, studding and renforcing the shinguard in quick and easy fashion.

"Dad was a great artisan. he could sew, craft...almost anything out of hunts. clothes, furniture, weapons..anything that worked in bone and leather. He taught us as part of the laws of nature. one must use all the hunted prey, nto waste anything. it's disrespectful to the spirits of the hunted. even if you use it to fertilze the ground, it has to be used."

Leaf was surprised at her luck, but didn't show it. She figured the element was not going anywhere, and decided to tend to Fin first.

She tilted his head back to help ease the pain he probalby felt from the pressure of the lichs hold, and felt his cheek. Cold, not too cold, slightly flushed from blood rushing back into his head.

"Methinks you may have been a bit recless." She looked at him with a face that did not seem to care what the answer was to her neck question. "Are you alright?"

She watched while he worked. "Interesting." She leaned back in her chair, throwing one leg over the arm in a typical relaxed position. "What kind of bone are you using?"

Fin looked into Leaf's eyes. "Yeah, but we won." He coughed, which did not envolve any blood which was a good sign. "Can you help me take of my cuirass?" He moved his arms slowly, "My mobility seems to be limited."

He noticed the sphere floating nearby. "Nice shot."

"Human."

then a look up and a grin.

"Just kidding. reptile. large lizard like thing..I think it's related to a gecko or an iquana. gets about six to nine feet long. finger and spinal collum are good for this kind of thing, once properly shaped."

A look over at her.

"Did you know bone can not only be used for firewood, but typically lasts much longer?"

She sat him up against her thigh and helped take off the cuirass, noting the dwarven make and seeting it aside. She took a a strange dried leaf from a pouch on her belt and shoved it into Fin's mouth. "Chew that. It will help with your cough."

Leaf looked at the element and shrugged. "Training."

"Can you move? This building is structuraly usntable. I'd rather not stay here any longer than neccessary."

"I see." So now she was going to be wearing lizard bone,. She wasn't sure how to feel about that.

"I had no idea. It just so happens, I've never had to make a fire before."

The cuirass was a fine piece of metal work, but it most certainly saw its last day. The part that was hit by the early attack was completely missing, the outline of that hit was clearly marked by what looked like shattered glass. The entirety of the abdemin protective plate was in ruin. The metal was twisted and sickly to behold, leaving it a wonder that the poor elf was still alive. The cuirass looked very ragid indeed.

Fin chewed on the leaf, and shrugged. "My toes don't seem to think so..." He looked at his hand, and placed it over his very swollen and exposed stomach. Nothing happened. "Why can I only heal people once per day. That makes no bloody sense." He seemed very indignate of his skills. He looked at Leaf somewhat helplessly. "I'm gonna need help walking." He shrugged, and tried to stand, which did not go over very well with his stomach. He did not shout or scream, but the agony of the injury was very much expressed across his face. "Help, and a mount." Somehow, he managed to regain his feet, which seemed much easier now that he was not wearing his old armour. "Father's gonna be pissed about that..." He stummbled a few feet, and found his sword sticking up from the ground, which he promptly grapped and tried to pull from the ground. It tasted very... salty. He spat some blood on the ground, along with the leaf he was chewing, but at least he got his sword back.

"Can you be mindful of the floor for me too, Damn I am so needy when I'm hurt." He laughed, "But, we got what we came for... Now how do we carry it?"

"I'm not strong enough to carry you."

And a shrug. "Next time, save it for a more grievious injury than a scraped and bruised knee."." She bent, picked up the damaged piece of armor. She strapped it to her back with her bow. Perhaps it could be recycled, no point leaving possibly good metal laying around. Next the Element. She wrapped the object in a piece of cloth torn from her undershirt and tied it to her belt. "Like that."

She put her shoulder under his, taking most of his weight onto herself. Leaf worried that she would be agrivating the wound as she walked, but there was nothing to be done. Her medical training consisted of various herbs and foliage in her pouch, used for small wounds or discomforts. She navigated the way back out of the temple, taking her time and being as gental as she could (which was still a bit rough for her being both female and elven).

She helped Fin outside, which took the better part of an hour.

Nuryll was waiting paitently for the duet when Leaf and Fin finally reached the outdoors, "Any treasures?"

"Not but what we came for." Fin replied.

"You don't look so good." Nuryll said, as he circled... stepped to each side of them. His frame reached pretty high into this shallow cavern. "We should go then." He grabbed them, rather ungraciously to Fin, and flew off to his sanctuary.

Corathian was waiting for them when they got back, and he promptly set about healing Fin's injuries. "You used your Lay on Hands to cure a skinned knee and a scratch?"

"What, if she couldn't shoot her bow, we couldn't go with my plan." Fin argued.

Corathian looked at Leaf, "As emotionless as you may be, you certainly inspire some in this boy." He chuckled.

Fin just relaxed and accepted the bratement.

Leaf decided she did not like flying that way, mostly because being grabbed and sqeezed was rather uncomfortable.

Back at the colour'd dragons' sanctuary, Leaf placed their things by a nearby pillar, the Element carefully tucked away. Not becuase she feared it beign stolen, but more out of simple habit.

She looked at Corathian. "That is fine." Stated as if Corathian had asked some sort of question. What she meant by it, she did not exlain.

"We will rest here, then set out again after a few hours of sleep."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 24, 2006 11:55 pm

"Fin is in no condition to be adverturing." Corathian smiled, "There is a small hovel under that giant relief in the corner over there, there are a few rooms that we can make use of." Corathian helped Fin to his feet.

"Rest sounds good."

Nuryll disappeared into the sacturay while the elves were chatting.

"Welcome back, how was the first date?" Lore greated from the minature inn.

"They got what they wanted." Corathian replied.

"Rest is in order."

Cahan smiled as he saw enter Malik D'Vinn and gave a small bow as the Drow as he stood before him. Cahan was relatively quiet while Sevilin went aroud to Malik asking for an audience once there was complete. "Yes, I am one of those which was in that fleshy husk. To be perfectly honest with you, I found it to be a competely dreadful experience and am glad to be out of it. I prefer to eat the monkeys not wear there rotting corpses as a second skin.". Cahan said with a smile, the coldness which his body realesed starting to noticably drop the temprature in the room. Cahan had no doubt that in a few minutes the humans in the fortress were going to start to feel the n**. He sincerly doubted that his hosts would feel the same.

"As to what we discussed earlier, we have made some great progress, though your right-hand did point out some grevious errors in our workings, which was greatly appreciated, and shall be corrected post haste. I am expecting another of my band to come and inform as to the specific status, as I have been within these walls for the duration of this progress. Cahan was all bussiness now, though he had spoken to Sevilin in a somewhat relaxed tone, he would not be as foolish as to speak in that same tone with Malik.

No sonner had Cahan mentioned the other then, his comrade made his presence none. He was like the wind, and merely standing beside Cahan as though he had been there all along. His name Atreyu, the lord of the skies. In his human form Atreyu stood a few inches shorter then Cahan, and was heavier set, yet it was obvious from the stance which he took that a warrior was he. Unlike the other Atreyu did not hide his reptillian eyes, which were black as obsidian. His dark red hair was long enough that even in the braid in reached down between his shoulder blades, and with a long redish bread to match, he resembled more a tall drawf, then a short human. "Kuro makes his movements towards the castle, and should arrive withing the next few moments. his statement was short and to the point. Atreyu had always been a dragon of few words.
