Cassie patted Dani on the back.
"He's my boyfriend but you're my best friend. I couldn't just leave you like this... You've always stood beside me no matter what! "
Cassie paused a moment.
"You know Chris set up this whole cabin in woods...It was just the two of us but he did mention inviting everyone later on for you know... a V-day get together. Why don't you come with me? We can even ask Achilles to join us after his date..."
Cassie smiled and looked through Dani's closet pulling out an outfit.
" Co'mon. You look super cute in this...We should hang out with our friends."

"Oh I don't know Cassie..."
She didn't want to let her down but she was in no shape to go out either... was she?
"My hair is all messy,, and makeup... forget about it. I'll just bring you down."
She laid back down on the bed.
"You should just go with out me... "

Cassie paused a moment blinking...
" No way! I'm not going anywhere with out you!"
Cassie laid down on the bed next to Dani.
" You never bring me down. I love being with you even if you are going though a rough time... because no matter how bad things get it's not too bad if I'm with you. I can help you with your hair and make up. Chris knows your going through a rough time and I'm sure he's concerned about you too.."

Jen came into her room and saw the state Dani was in. She had expected to see another make-out session and had planned to go in quickly and out again.
She gave a look to Cassie who was looking over to Dani concerned.
"Oh, no... chocolate...girl crying... Dani I'm so sorry." Jen sighed. "I'll be out of your hair soon, I'm going to the Cats Meow soon for a date, if I can call it that."
Jen didn't really want to ask what happened with Dani's girlfriend, it was always a hot relationship at best. It was probably going to be a long sad story that would bring out another bunch of tears.
Jen pulled out her sparkling purple dress she planned to wear tonight.
"Maybe too much sparkles and purple but what the heck tonight is about a single girl making a fool of herself, let's do it while looking like a giant twinkling grape."

Achilles sat on the floor of his and Wally's dorm room, running a smooth stone over the edge of his favorite sword's blade. Small sparks ran along the stone and blade as he focused solely on his task at hand. It helped for him to clear his mind and think, small duties like this. It worked for him on the Trojan beaches, and it helped him in these far more hectic and confusing times.
It was too soon. That he knew most assuredly in his heart. He knew Donald was only trying to help, and he had heard this Piotr was a sweetheart, and an artist, something even a warrior such as himself revered. He just couldn't fathom going on a date on a day like this.
Achilles slid his sword into its scabbard and set it aside in its spot of honor, then slowly stood up. He would go to this place and talk to Piotr, and hopefully the young Russian would understand how he felt.

Jen could plainly see Dani was a mess and she made the right call by staying away. Dani was feeling a little bitter, but tried to be nice to Jen.
"Hope it works out. And Good luck.. Don't worry about me. Just gone though another teen age drama episode of the Dani show! I hate love... and Dateing... and... Ahahhahahahaaa!!!"
She Hugged Cassie to keep from Crying again. This wasn't working. Staying inside was making things worse and soon enough she'd ware way Cassie's kindness.
"Maybe your right... fresh air would do me goood... and I think the guys could help me get over this."
She sat up.
"I know hoe to play this game." She started to brush out the many tangles in her hair. "I have to act as if nothing is wrong at all. Soon it wont be. And that's what I'm going to do."

Cassie looked over at Dani and nodded.
"Just don't go into as much denial as Wally.."
The last thing Cassie wanted was to see another friend turned player. Cassie then grabbed Dani's brush.
"Just sit in front of mirror and I'll take care of the rest. You'll be a total knock out"
Cassie brushed and styled Danielle's hair. She was pretty good at it since the cheerleaders often loved to do each other's hair and make up. Cassie then fixed Dani's makeup to bring out her eyes. When Cassie was done she smiled and showed Dani the mirror.
" See... you look awesome!"

Jen sat on her bed doing her own hair. "Yeah, you look fantastic. I don't think this date is really serious tonight so I'll probably have lots of time afterwards to help you party."
Jen really didn't know what else to say her own love experiences were sort of lame in comparison. Plus she wasn't sure what to say about her date with Achilles in front of his sister, she was sure it was a set up and she was determined to sort this out herself.

Dani felt better already! .. Sort of. But now was time to put on a smile and try and forget al about Scandal!
"Yeah Jen. It can be a party. Anti-Valentine's ... well for me anyways. I hope your date goes well too. But if it don't come and hang with the cool kids."
She joked. Slowly getting there....
"Guess it's time for us to head out... Good luck Jen."
She opened the window, and bowed a little, to let Cassie go first.
"I'l follow you're lead."
She formed wings with Witchblade to fly after her.

Cassie flew towards the cabin where Chris was at and when she got there she let herself in.
"Hey Chris I'm back. I brought Dani with me."
Cassie smiled at Wally and went over to Chris to give him a hug.
"I didn't think you would mind.."

*Cassie burst in before Wally could reply and Chris would have to remember this conversation for later. Finally! Now he could just show Wally the door....*
Cassie! Wally- *choke* look! Dani's here too.
*Chris plastered a smile on his face.*
Hi, Dani. Hey. I have stuff for subs and stuff. Yea....
*Sighing inwardly, Chris gathered up the pillows and blankets meant for cuddling and started dragging them the bedroom. Next, Achilles would breakdown the front wall with his elephant and declare that he needed everyone to come slay a giant boar or lion or something.*
Please tell me you didn't tell anyone else about this place. A secret base kinda needs to be secret.

Jen watched them leave and was hoping that it went okay. It was going to take more that fixing her hair and make-up to heal Dani's heart. It made her think of Achilles and how he was probably still a mess inside.
"Right, time to get my own date over with." Jen said. If anything she was going to have fun and sort this out the She-Hulk way.
She finished applying her make-up and took one last check in the mirror and then headed out.

Cassie looked over at Chris giving him a puppy dog face.
"No,but you did mention inviting our friends over later and I assumed that meant Dani. Besides you have Wally over.."
Cassie then paused a moment and lifted up an eyebrow.
"Or did you just mean your friends? Cause there's no way I'm spending the evening with Bobby Drake and those jerks from the baseball team."

With plate and napkin in hand she grabs one of the subs and went to sit on the couch. She'd try really hard not to think about Scandal... Man this was going to be hard.
"Thanks Chris, this is great, I haven't eaten all day."
She took a big bite of the sandwitch, and nodded a hello to Wally.
"Hey Wally. So video games? You wanna play?"
She took another bite, then sifted through the games there... War, Violence, Solders, Spys, Ugh... What to choose.
"Why don't you pick the game... I just really wanna kill something."
Leaning back in the couch, she took another bite and asked with a head tilt.
"Hey Chris? Do you have any soda?"

So much for bro-ing. Oh, well. Linda Park was having fun watching sappy movies with her girlfriends, so Wally should just up and have fun with his friends...right?
He slipped the package into the pocket of his coat and turned to his crew with a smile.
"You don't wanna kill something, Dani...you wanna pound the snot out of something." Wally picked up the newest "Heroes vs. Game Guys" game. It featured teachers from Hero High and some from Toonami Tech fighting each other.
"Dibs on the Flash!"
