"You've been here for a year?" Luana scooted to the edge of her seat, leaning forward a bit. Synthetic purple material showed through the top of the bathrobe. "How is that possible?"

The Captain... he, well... I'm not sure what it is he saw. But I imagine he forsaw my people discovering me, and destroying me. To save my life, he brought me here. I've been here ever since...
:::Cora stares off into the vast black wall that isn't there ahead of them:::
According to Kal and Kara... there's been a revolution. A place where people like me realized that they weren't living a real life, and broke away. But they too are constantly in danger, they're also always fighting... Maybe that's why their prince and princess come here too.

"I guess that's something we have in common then." She smiled. "Funny. The longer I stay here, the more it seems that some things are just constants throughout time and space."

Yes... it's almost comforting. Thought I can't say why.... in all honesty, I'm disturbed to think that in no time have people ever really been... not fighting something.
Heh... even here, where there is no time, we're fighting. The Seraphim is putting the occupants here in the place to fight.

"Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while." She sat up again and tightened the belt on her robe. "I guess I've been lucky. I still haven't seen him."

Be glad...he'll put words in your soul and leave them there to eat you from the inside with doubt.
:::She held onto her pendant:::
He made wonder if my friends... my own Captain, were working against me. He tried to use my nature of logic, but I only escaped alive that day because I used my heart...
:::Cora looked at Luana::: and it was possibly the easiest thing I've ever done.

"I dunno," said Luana. "I find this place fills me with enough doubt as it is..."
Luana faded out then, back to the safe house where she was being kept.
*Exit Luana*

:::Cora thought it was a shame to hear her say that. She made a mental note, so that next time she saw Luana, she'd ask her if she was using her logic, or her heart...:::
:::She stood up and fetched a bottle of wine, then headed back to her room to finish calibrating her boots:::

**Enter Maggie**
*Maggie flickers in, pulling her worn old cloak tight around her as she scurries back to the inn ... only to halt at the abrupt change in scenery. She looks around to see if anybody else is there, rubbing her hands together to warm them up again now that she's out of the cold*

**Enter Bard and Luke from Bard, __**
*Bard fades into the Brink followed quickly by Luke. For a moment the heat roiling off their shirtless bodies is actually visible. They stand there for a moment, simply soaking in the much cooler Brink air*
My God, I don't ever want to go back...

*Luke closes his eyes and walks in, arms stretched out. He's covered in sweat and engine grease.*
Oh my GOD ... AIR CONDITIONING.
*looks, focused only on the bar* Beer. Aw man, I bet it's ice cold, too.

You know, drinking alcohol right now is probably the worst thing you could do to your body...
... I'll have two...

*Maggie turns to see the two of them appear, shirtless and drenched in sweat, and both make a beeline for the bar. Her cheeks were already pink from the cold, but now they go bright red* Oh, heavens, well ... ehm, good day te ye both there ...
