Ianex I literally laughed out loud at this...I found it rather comical. But, on any note, to semi get out of their hair. Who wants to help me analyze major weaknesses in my main character (so that he can enter the tournament) I have the first draft of any bio I used from him in my profile, and it has been edited like...twice since it was created...I think 3ish years ago. Normally he has the ability to shadowport, but since thats banned, I am trying to concieve another way for him to move speedily and stealthily...any suggestions? Perhaps don't make him insanely speedy and stealthily? Er. Stealthy. Why DO you need stealth? We're in an arena with nothing to hide behind, no cover, nothing. You have to pull everything outta your character's a**. This tournament really seems to lean towards more of a melee/magic/"psionic domokun " fight, rather than a gunfight or anything. Just make your character have some defense against all of these, and you're set. Er, or something like that. I can't help. I suck.

It's getting very tedious to watch the both of you bicker at the nonsense that's supposively Fantasy Roleplay. rolleyes stare

Ironically...I kinda do pull weapons out of my butt...or any part of my body for that matter, but thats another story... Yeah, I suppose a simple speed increase would do the trick for several defenses...heck...I may as well enter 'em, if not to just fill spots.

Binatica The earth spins, it's scientifically proven. I have yet to see any accredited and widely accepted scientific studies proving the exact effects of electrons upon planar interaction. And what isn't proven can be made up. Exactly what I was trying to say. Go Gel! Anyways, I don't see why Gel's post wouldn't be valid. Two giant pylons popping out of the ground seemed to take a while. I'd likely do the same thing, if I was Gel.

And arguing at the same time. Once one of them posts, they come to OOC here and complain, then trade spots when the other person comes back. Multitasking ftw.

...th'only way to really be stealthy in this arena aside from vanishing completely is to move so quickly that nobody can see you. Which Deity can do...and probably will do, at great length. Especially if he runs into slow people with bad aim... xD ...though Deity may equip his character with weights to slow'im down.

I would love for you to explain to me anything at all about magic, like where does the energy come from? What is it made of? Because we all know he thinks the fabric of reality is cotton, magic must be made of leather.

At least no one has posted for a little while. Sort of.
I almost feel like posting IC somewhere, just to get back into my character...
Can't have him be dying wherever that may be, though. That would be bad.

I remember I asked you that once about your psionics.You abruptly stopped posting and came back a day or two later pretending to have no memory of that incident and aggressively evading any of my attempts to repeat the question. So, sure, I'll shoot. Magic is made out of mana, duh. Now, where do your psionic powers come from? Since you insist on using real scientific studies (which you refuse to cite) on planar manipulation, I'm sure you must know all about the origins of their plane-surfing science because you're a science buff and all.

@Kenny: Ahh...nifty...it's fun having a speed-based character, especially when the style he uses is more often used in a simpler fashion (hand-to-hand), and his speed isn't on display as much....what he uses changes from opponent to opponent.

Remember those days? Where a person claims to be a God, and gets their a** whipped by someone who wasn't a God? Just because they created far more variants of manuvers and tactics that disrupted whatever skill the so called, "God," had? ~:Shrugs some:~
All they're doing right now is going, "I'm better than you!" "No, I am! I can prove it." "Nu-uh, you can't prove it. I have the basis of Science behind me! Muahahahaha!" "So? I have the basis of Magic behind mine, Muahahahah!"
"So? My Science is proven!" (Hmm, what happened to the Fantasy there?) "My Magic doesn't have to be proven to exist." (Okay, Fantasy there, kind of goes with a lot of other things that are in Real life too.)
My belief though is that Magic is slightly a step ahead of Science, and once Science finds the little detail to make it known that it can be done, it's not Magic anymore. Thus, Magic really doesn't need any explaination, but if you're going to use Science, you have to be able to explain every nook and cranny of the whole situation. With Magic, as Gel said, it can just happen.
With Science, however, there are some limits to what it really can accustom itself to. Though, Science is used to prove just about anything we say and do.
My thing is: What ever happened to the Fantasy Roleplay aspect of things? People used to have fun creating new things for people to play around with just to have fun, but suddenly Roleplay has to become some serious organization that not everyone can be in.
I could literally go on, and on, and on about this, but I shall not, because if either of them were fighting me. I'd have no form of argument what so ever, and it'll just be the character's skill that proves the victor, not the Player's mind of using any form of manipulation, speculations, and assumptions that one thing is better than another.
