But seriously, it just comes down to Ockham's Razor. Most people expect a problem to need a suitably impressive solution. Something that equates the troubles they felt with the significance of the answer. Instead, it usually comes down to something exceedingly simple or obvious, which was ignored because of that very fact. Or in the case of the potato, more based on the differing knowledge available by region. Without getting into a potential spoiler, there's a reason that she knew about potatoes and humans didn't. As such, it comes down to applying what you know in a new and inventive way that really sums up innovation. The invention of the wheel, irrigation, mathematics, writing; really all of it comes down to using what you know to create something one step above what already exists. Humanity heard birds and created music.
As far as vocabulary goes, I just read a lot, and some of those words tend to demand to be used from time to time. If I can elucidate an issue while waxing prolix and utilizing a lexicographer's bread and butter, so much the better. And don't sell yourself short, you've contributed just as much to the discussion, even setting aside the idea that a discussion isn't even possible without at least two people. You put forth ideas that I didn't have, just as I did likewise. And I do agree, that I look forward to seeing what The Demon King can really do, if the anime's pacing ever reaches the point that she can do what she does best. Namely, innovate and expound! Or to put it in a battle cry, For Research!
