Seph shuddered listening to one gria starting to sing in the centre of the dancers in a way that wasn't to her taste or her language "It's not just that. Some demons are a bit like hippos. They burn and dehydrate real fast when in the sunshine. Can roam freely at night if theres stuff to do. Though technically this is my world as its my place of birth" she pointed out cheerfully.
Alpha smirked fighting back a small laugh "She would probably have a field day if she met Psy. And hopefully when older she won't do what he did and ask for all kinds of chemicals and equipment I've never heared of. Steal for her some dismantled fireworks for a gift and she'll be entertained for hours" he joked only just noticing the singer was there. "I used to be a bit of a gambler them I conned a few people from time to time for a little but extra gil and things like that spread along with paying off debts"
Hebal yawned spying the platform coming out the centre of the arena floor with a singing gria on top "Bet the arena is only really kept here now for the sake of tradition since judges first came from overseeing these kinda matches. But what if the judgemaster needs the bathroom mid fight, she can't just go up and leave" she wondered.

Felina shook her head rapidly "No no no I know what he did was pretty damaging to the city, I was just pointing out that the dragon bit really didn't work for him which was about the only thing he didn't have an advantage on. However, Alex I think did a little bit of underestimating too" she added quietly in case other Agralians were around.
Satoshi grinned giving Gil's armoured arm a good pat "Nice selection you've picked and I'm kinda glad you picked the dog man as he looked so disappointed before about Enkidu not being present. And I suppose if she needed a bathroom brea she can go there between the matches since theres like a 5 minute gap between each one. Must be dead boring after a while having to watch every match no matter how good or bad they get by end tournament"

Oassu smiled "I guess so, though technically he could just have dropped the city if he wanted" he said watching as several small platforms around the singer began raising dancers as well "Well this Arena is certainly more impressive than I first thought, y'd think something would have damaged the place considering all the fights that had went on earlier." he said.
Itaka chuckled "Don't know the language? I don't think she's especially bad for a singer, they'd need to put someone good on at an event like this" he said "But yeah you totally belong here with me" he said cuddling her.
Barbaros shook his head "Nope that's not her thing, she's strictly interested in medicinal chemicals and stuff, it's my eldest that's looking to be an Alchemist, I already got him a nice shotgun picked out when he qualifies for a place" he said proudly.
Jenna shrugged "Well guess that's what you get for conning people, if you're ever around by the time I've established a new thieves guild stop by and I'll make sure you disappear effectively" she said knowing that the guild had given many people on the run new lives" she said.
Gil nodded "Figured I'd get a little bit of everything covered in my interviews but yeah the bathrooms just out there in the VIP lounge it'll be no trouble but you never know she may really enjoy her fights" he said
Zadina giggled "She's pretty" he said noting the nice flowing dress the singer had "But it's nice that the judges have expanded from something simple like this to a nice organised law force across the world" he said happily thinking the desserts looked nice.

Alpha chuckled shaking his head "I'll pass for now but thanks for the offer. I'm already rather good at disappearing and half of them are getting way to old to do anything if they found me anyway and I do pay off gambling debts eventually" he grinned glad that the song had started to become more upbeat. "Yeah ok then, wouldn't recommend getting her the medical stuff to play with. So what, when your kid gets a house to himself he gets a shotgun? Most people go for some kind of security alarm nowerdays you know" he smirked.
Seph shook her head "Nope I don't understand the language. Thats what happens when ya leave the one person that does know gria language to look after the airship. Never mind, it sounds way nicer than the demonic language which just sounds horrible and feels it too when trying to pronounce it" she smiled glad it wasn't common anymore.
Hebal gasped only having noticed the dress "Ooh that is a pretty dress and just look at how much it sparkles. Hey Satoshi isn't that one of the dresses you made? I'm pretty sure you had one for sale that was exactly like it" she asked rubbing her ear. "The judges can only keep expanding and everything is bound to stay all well and happy with potential future judges like Kumool and Kelin"

Felina smiled her eyes following the platforms as they rose further out the ground "They were only using blunt weapons for a reason like that probably. But maybe the arena did get damaged and they just fixed it up again with the best mechanics and builders in town. It's not like they couldn't afford it from ticket and advertising profits" she shrugged tapping her foot to the music.
Satoshi slowly nodded "Yeah well if its a hobby watching the fights wouldn't be so bad if they were done well. Personally I would rather just make a couple of sketches from up here and move into the arena stands themselves below even if the view wasn't as good...." she told him turning her head to watch one of the screens with a closer up image of the main singer. "Hey, that is one I made! Looks a little different to how I made it due to the resizing though" she gasped surprised to see it.

Oassu shook his head "The weapons were probably to reduce damage since as far as I know most arenas use stuff like that these days" he said "Plus they have a trusty moogle district to turn to when they need to build stuff like this" he added.
Gil raised an eyebrow "Don't you like it here?" he asked wondering why she would move to the stand "But wow that's quite something having your dress displayed at such an event like this, must've been sold today as I don't recognise that Gria from the shop the other day." he said.
Zadina giggled knowing he could cause chaos by dispelling the dress resizing "Don't you think you should be paid some royalties or something for letting your dress appear on TV though Miss Satoshi?" he suggested "Though maybe word will spread after this about your works" he said.
Itaka raised an eyebrow "Hayate knows how to speak Grian?" he asked surprised Seph would know that "Also you got me wondering now, can you even speak demonic language I mean you weren't raised there and it's not your primary language right?" he asked.
Jenna shrugged "Alright but the offer's there if you want it" she said being quiet for the singer's sake "Though could always try a bit of theft if you needed the money to pay off your debts, just steer clear of Casino's" she said.
Barbaros shook his head "Erm it's not quite like that, the Agralian Alchemy Society's standard weapon is a shotgun, it would get him into the society and a job you know" he said "Though my daughter already has a medical kit in her room where she makes potions from" he groaned "She's going to be expensive putting through medical school" he said.

Alpha shook his head trying not to laugh and put people off the singer "I couldn't see myself stealing from people. Not saying I wouldn't try it sometime but I can be incredibly clumsy with my fingers and don't do subtlty. Ahh how times have changed since when my kid got his training. When he was younger you just put em on apprentiships so he did alchemy, chemistry the whole lot. Then again he's had loads more years than the average person to master both"
"Apparently Hayate can if that little book he gave me is anything to go by along with several others" Seph explaimed remembering she would have to return it sometime. "But of course I can speak the demonic language and read its writing system. My mum taught me as I was growing up in case we ever got deported or something"
Hebal cheered jumping up and giving Satoshi a hug "Yeay go you getting one of your outfits on show like that. I hope you got your name in the label so people know you made the awesome thing. I think you should buy us all a drink sometime for helping you sell it" she joked releasing her then bouncing around the room between screens.

Felina glanced around seeing if she could find so much as a dent in the arena side "Yep I bet theres loads of moogle back stage maintainence staff. Can't just be judges and security working here afterall. The palace has a set of builders at the ready just 5 mintutes walk away just in case it gets the odd chance something gets damaged and about 20million gardeners and kitchen staff despite mostly guards being visible"
Satoshi shrugged still looking at her dress "I'm not bothered about royalties and advertising thats just a bonus. Its just nice to see other people than myself appreciating my work if you get what I mean. As for this place... its not bad but even if it means not having the screens I just think its a bit better to see the fight as close as possible with your own eyes only. Even if its a less luxurious stand down there" she explained gasping for air as she was hugged.

Oassu smiled "Well that's quite a staff but I think your exaggerating, no city holds 20 million people itself" he said snickering "Still with all that man power I'm sure Yithra will be back on it's feet in no time" he said "Need more masons though for all the damaged stone but that's dwarven territory at best though you could hire them now that they are friends and stuff" he said.
Gil smiled kissing Satoshi "Ok but still they better not claim it's someone else's work though I think this view is fine, I do wonder where the Judgemaster is for all the festivities though would expect her to make an appearance wouldn't you?" he said.
Jenna frowned quietly agreeing with Alpha "Well suit yourself, wouldn't do to see an old man in chains anyway" she said playing with a single gil in her fingers while the singer raised her voice to a climax
Barbaros shook his head "Not quite the same, doubt my little girl will be a perfect doctor and alchemist like your son but she will hopefully go onto do me proud in some clinic somewhere and maybe my son will even figure out that ol stone to gold trick" he chuckled rubbing his hands together.
Itaka nodded "Guess that's ok if I ever need a translator then but good on your momma for preparing you so well, I hear a number of demons did get deported after the war, not all of them deserving of it" he muttered watching as the Gria musicians took to the sky as lights on their clothes twinkled into life.
Zadina smiled watching Hebal bounce around as their food arrived "Oh Miss Hebal our food is here!" he said taking his pasta from the waitress and tentatively placing it on the table "I'm not sure we should be eating in here though....this is where she works after all" he muttered not wanting to spill sauce on the paperwork.

Seph nodded her head sadly "Yeah I know a few people who got deported back, most of them to a death sentence... but lets not go into all that on a fine night like this. My mum prepared me for a lot of random things. Like insisted I learned to play piano and that I took out my rage on fencing which later progressed onto proper sword fighting. I think she just knew I got lonely from time to time not exactly being miss popular"
Alpha snickered "Trust me if that little trick worked, we would know it by now.. The real money is in fishing gold out of rivers for the time being or just draining parts if your not that nice. Though if you did do the impossible, just think of what you could do. Could buy a clinic. They couldn't keep me in chains that long. I mean one time they caught me in demon form so I just became a human and slipped right out the shackles" he chuckled.
Hebal cheered again charging to the couch and the coffee table "Yay over here thanks" she told the waitress pushing the paperwork out the way and to one side. "It's not like she would have left anything important lying around for just anyone to see but I don't see why she would complain if she moved it so long as everything is still in the right order" she sung while slurping her soup. "If you say so Satoshi, I'm sure it will get out that you made it knowing how clothes magazines work"

Satoshi smiled back but called one of the waitresses over "Can we have two strawberry tarts here please?" she requested returning the dessert menus. "Don't worry my name is stitched into the labels inside the dress and at the very bottom so nobody could claim it as their own if they tried. But it is odd that the judgemaster is so absent. Even if she was watching the ceremony you would think that she would be on show"
Felina raised her eyebrow "And what makes you think elves can't make good builders. Sure we aren't like dwarf efficiant but we aren't so backward that we don't know how to maintain our homes" she laughed and stuck her tongue out at Oassu. "The populaton of Yithra believe it or not is about 5 million but you get the point. There are several hundred members of palace staff"

Gil sighed "Maybe she's tired of this event with it all being down to her to organise it and all" he said accepting a second glass of whisky presented to him "I wonder if she'll at least make an appearance at the end to thank everyone for coming" he said "Didn't I have to finalise some paperwork and stuff with her here? I'm certain this wasn't just for viewing purposes despite how nice it is" he said
Oassu smiled shaking his head "It's not that, just that dwarves are the best stone workers I know of in fact they're probably the best workers with most things though moogles are still champions of gadgets and inventions dwarves craft good traditional things like houses and swords, Agralia has a fair bit of dwarven architecture in it" he said
Itaka nodded "I guess I can understand that though lookit you now surrounded by friends at a big fancy event" he said happily "I can't play any musical instrument if it makes you feel better" he said finishing his own hotdog before it got cold watching the musicians reposition themselves while playing.
Jenna groaned "I can't believe they were silly enough to let you go so easily though I'm impressed people managed to capture you in your demon form what with all that fire and demonic strength and stuff" she said "Must've been an off day for you" she said
Barbaros laughed "Hey mon don't be crushing the boy's dreams he might still figure out a way to do it not everything in the world has been discovered yet" he said happily "And yeah but the money wouldn't be mine to use though I imagine he'd become quite the sought after boy" he said.
Zadina nodded eating his pasta happily "I'm sure you'll do fine Miss Satoshi you already made a lot of money from the stall anyway" he said pausing in awe as he saw the musicians reposition themselves so the lights on their uniforms shaped a pair of crossed swords in the sky "Oooh lookit how organised they are" he said as the pair of swords slowly rotated while the music played.

Alpha shrugged "Well not really, you know sometimes in order to get what you want or to see certain people you gotta bust yourself in jail if real unlucky. Hope you haven't had to pull that one yet" he explained leaning further back into his seat. "Yeah would have to watch his back if he did announced he could do it. Many a country would try and capture a person for gold, especially when gold prices are at an all time high right now"
Seph smiled taking hold of Itaka's hand "Yep things are better than what they used to be, although my first friends. Proper friend that is, was Alpha and his family followed by a bunch of demons making the language thing more useful too. I hated the piano to be honest, guitar was more my thing which is probably no surprise" she laughed.
Hebal let out a low whistle seeing the swords move apart from eachother and began to fight eachother "Now that is just impressive" she grinned dripping her bread in the soup. "Perhaps the judgemaster is downstairs organising the entertainment. But would be incredibly rude for her to keep being absent from everything"

Felina smiled seeing Cid crawling his way out having decided things weren't so bad outside "You won't find any dwarven archiatecture in Yithra, we take too much pride in our own to let others do theirs. Probably less practical but it does look prettier" she admitted getting distracted by the swords.
Satoshi chuckled shuffling around so to get her feet up without kicking Gil "Maybe she is trying to soften you up before asking you to sign your soul away to some advertising company" she teased getting into position. "She wouldn't be organising the ceremony due to lack of time. I've worked behind events like these and something like this would take at least a week of none stop work to set up not inclusing rehearsal time"

Oassu smiled petting Cid happily "Well I dunno, dwarves can make pretty stuff very well....so long as they aren't the ones who designed it, they seemed very fond of their giant stone statues when we were in their kingdom" he said
Gil chuckled "Fat chance I'd expect the newspapers to try a stunt like that though" he said stretching "Still she's certainly arranged a very nice ceremony and I appreciate this little light show the musicians are putting on" he said
Jenna scratched her head confused "Don't quite get what you mean but then again I've never been to jail being the clever little thief girl I am" she said happily before watching as the roof opened up to allow more light-bearing Gria to fly overhead in a dragon formation.
Barbaros nodded "But my kid's a long way off from doing anything like that I'm sure" he said laughing a little uneasily "So long as he's happy doing whatever is fine with me, avoiding that gold thing might not be a bad idea" he said.
Zadina shook his head "Is she even supposed to be here Miss Hebal? This seat might just be Sir Gil's epic reward for winning the tournament" he said happily looking up at the dragon "Imagine if she was one of the people in the dragon though that would be coool" he said.
Itaka nodded "Well I didn't know you played any instruments so now you're coming across as quite the artist with all these instruments you can play" he smirked "They've done well to get the size of the dragons right...then again they ARE Gria after all" he remarked.
