Trilla: Hnn~ Ok!

*The child would squint for a moment; a snowflake had landed on her eye. After rubbing it away Trilla would turn a little, Mastema would have no trouble supporting her shifted weight. After that the child would mutter what ever spell Nana had taught to the trio, it would take only a matter of several seconds to cast or chant the spell. With her hands only about an inch apart, palms open to the sky, a small yellow-white light would begin to form. The light would grow into an orb shape and steadily grew until it was about the size of a baseball, and hovered about four inches above the child's hands. Trilla seemed pleased with the results, and hopefully Mastema would aswell*

Mastema kept his eyes on her palms, keeping aware of where he was stepping; Trilla would also feel quite comfortable and safe with both of Mastema's arms seating her. For a moment he paid mind to the fact that Trilla could recite the verses accurately after just one lesson. When she was younger, she could barely pronounce Thanatos's name. A slight grin and smile lit up his face when the light became vibrant, reflecting a lightly golden tint on the snow under them. "Hmm hmm.... and you were able to do that after just one lesson? That's very good Trilla; you should be proud." The child would receive a light pat on the head from one hand. The two were now at the base of the tower. "I certainly am."

*The light was soft on the eyes, and could easily light up a room. Trilla could definitly use this if she was in an area of the citadel where there were either no lamps, or buildings with no lights when it was darker out. The child would be more easily spotted aswell no doubt if she was traveling, well lit. That could be both good and bad really, depending on who was around. Hearing Mastema say he was proud of Trilla, made her feel suddenly lighter, not in the physical sense of course. It was a confidence booster for the child. What she had done was acceptable, and she was praised for it. Such praise would encourage her in later lessons, most certainly. Trilla's reaction to the pat wasn't all too surprising*

Trilla: whee heart

His arm moved down and lightly wrapped around the child's waist after patting her. Trilla was more than welcome to keep her light going if she wished, or she could cling to him again. Whatever the result, Mastema and Trilla would be at level 51 within a few minutes and Trilla would be set down. "I need to go back out and find your brother now. Do you need anything before I leave?" Mastema questioned the child, lightly holding her hand so she could take it back with ease.

*By now the child had dispelled the light, there was more than enough of that inside the building anyhow. Trilla had kept her gaze forward, until the two reached her room. Once she was placed down on the floor again, Trilla's wings re-positioned themselves again and flexed a little. Once Mastema's question was asked again Trilla would shake her head. All she needed now was to have a shower, have her robes and shoes cleaned, have a small snack and then get ready for bed*

Mastema nodded to his daughter and his hand slowly slid away from hers, rather than just letting go. His hand was then put on her head, stroking side to side over her head, before being back at his side. "All right then. I'll see you later, Trilla. Good night and sleep well." With that Mastema returned to the elevator to head down and begin his search for Eecheb.

"Tegral... you're insane, and I've no need of it. I think it's about time we ended this silly fued, once and for all. Mastema is no longer the creature he once was, nor is his grip as tight or his shield held as high. This is the dawn of victory, the age of our vengeance, and it will be the site of his resurrection. With the death of all those dear to him, the weights will fall and his true potential will be loosed upon those maggots who crawl over these lands... this is not a mission of assassination Tegral, oh no, we've come here to reseat the king atop his throne." KB was as ever passionate about the topic of Mastema, and though he spoke his words via a comm to an army, they were meant only for himself, Tegral, and perhaps Mastema. Though KB thought the chances of his foe hearing him was slim, he thought it best to uphold the formalities of battle.

And so it was that with a mighty roar and a flash of light, the barriers of time and space began to part in brilliat flares of oragnce. They spiralled outwards from their nexus across the field and in the skies, as they loosed from within them the ravenous machinery and undead bodies. Like a plague spewed from the rotten gullet of a fell beast they marched and swarmed, taking their positions some distance in sight, and yet beyond the Citadel's suspected optimal firing range. Even if they were within range, they could easily disperse, lest the BG41's soon to come roll over them.

The small crablike machine beneath KB held fast even as it's brethren shook the earth behind it, forming ranks behind the AD-508. A perfect grid of the things fell into place, a single Tegral unit grinning defiantly for each two of the insectoid things. Countless lenses swivelled to the skies, the leader, and to the Citadel. A notion quaked throught he hive mind as a few drones quivered, perhaps it was fear. Fear of their time to die, of their support, of the monstrous hulks of undead flesh and machinery that marched behind them, the former officers of the vampiric order having been twisted into simple wartools.

KB merely smirked and glanced at the shiny treasure before him, the complex machinery within his chassis flickering out towards the Citadel in a complex adjustment of waves that fell upon his usual telepathic grid. He thought it best to at least attempt contact with the one he wanted very much to crush.

"Don't know if you're getting this Mastema, but I think it's high time we came to an understanding regarding our worthy forces. A cease-fire of sorts, a treaty. I think it would be prudent to gauge the shifts of power within these parts, lest you tempt fate and the temper of over a year's amassed forces." KB was as usual cocky and arrogant, but he at least made an attempt. Little could be said for Mastema, save for hiding in glorified holes.

*Trilla would shortly after disappear into her room, hopefully after she was in the shower, Zio would launder the child's clothing which was right now on her bed. It would be a few minutes until the child was done, then she'd carry on to the cafeteria most likely. Curretly that was where Micha had gone. The boy had two or three food items on two plates and a glass of fruit juice of some sort, it appeared to be a blend. The child would eat in silence*

Micha: . . .

It was less than ten minutes later that Mastema found himself at the gym in the south side of the citadel. Eecheb was somewhere in the gym as far as Mastema knew, and Thanatos had moved on to do god knows what. Sho wasn't around this area right now either, which was a little unusual. Mastema entered the front of the gym and started to look around for Eecheb's exact location. "Eecheb? Are you in here?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 1:39 am

*After Mastema had posed his question aloud in the main entrance of the gym, a short yelp would be heard followed by a light wooden sounding crash. Eecheb was indeed there... and in a room just around the corner to the left of where Mastema was now, no more than perhaps thirty feet. Once Mastema found himself in the room, he would no doubt see Eecheb on the floor on his side, with part of a vaulting horse toppled over with the top piece not to far away, and another level just infront of Eecheb. A short distance above the vault horse were the rings. It appeared as if Eecheb was trying to get to those before he fell; likely startled by Mastema when he called for the boy*

Eecheb: gonk Auaah! | x.x | Ug...

Mastema would have winched if he were anyone else at the sound. Instead, it just confirmed he was in the right place. Seeing Eecheb lying on his side, it didn't take too long to figure that the boy had been climbing on something. It also instantly registered that Eecheb was or at least could have been seriously injured. Mastema hurried in and knelt down on one knee beside Eecheb: "Eecheb! How hurt are you? Can you move?" The boy was lucky he hadn't fallen on his back, where he could have possibly broken all four of his wings.

Eecheb: ~_~;; | *huff*

*The nice thing about Eecheb was that he was like a little tank. It took more than that to keep him down. His tail smacked the floor out of annoyance; he was fine. With a grunt the boy sat up, he'd only taken a short tumble from about four and a half feet up. To Mastema's question, Eecheb's wings all flicked in defiance to the fall. As if Eecheb was saying "Ha! Takes more than that!" to the situation of falling. As the saying went, "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" and Eecheb had certainly had a few interesting accidents so far in his short life. It was a wonder why he was accident prone. Perhaps the world was just out to get him, though a little more disgression on Eecheb's part wouldn't hurt either*

Eecheb: ~_~;; | Yeah, I can move...

It was somewhat interesting to watch the boy's tail slap the ground angrily. That tail could do more than Eecheb had probably thought it could do..... though granted he knew it could get him food. After getting a response, Mastema huffed as well. "Good..... though I don't think you should test your luck on falling like that again. It's dangerous to stand on high up objects like this, but then again I suppose that's what the floor padding is for," Mastema indicated by looking at the matted floor of the gym room. Eecheb seemed no worse for wear after his fall. Mastema took a second look at the arrangement of the room, and found only one logical reason Eecheb would have set this arrangement up. "Hmmm..... if you want to reach those rings, I can help you. If you want." Mastema wasn't even sure the offer would be taken. He'd tried to connect more with his son over the time that had passed, but it was still difficult for most anyone to get close to him if the first impression was bad.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 7:36 pm

*The boy used an arm to whip some sweat off his forehead, leaning against the other for support as his tail continued to slap the matted floor. Eecheb wanted to reach the rings all right, but on his own. A stuborn streak like a bull, and the testosterone to match, Eecheb wouldn't let anyone let alone Mastema help him reach those rings. Hopefully he was smart enough however to know not to try until he killed himself over it. Eecheb could have easily gone higher, making the fall worse, but he hadn't... so there was hope for him yet*

Eecheb: e__e | They're too high...

"That would be because most people who use them are twice as old as you are now," Mastema chuckled lightly. It wasnt' meant as an insult so much as to say Eecheb was rushing himself a bit. "However, you'll find using that bit of equipment to get yourself higher is more dangerous than it's worth. You'll need something more stable to get up and down. Hmm.... I think I should be stable enough." Mastema's comment might seem odd at first, but really his intention was to let Eecheb climb up his hands, then his back, and then stand on his shoulders. Mastema, when kneeling, was just as tall and a lot more stabe than Eecheb's last bit of help.
