Someone commented on my friend's post of that link linking section 8 people with being nutjobs. *facepalm*
Anybody know of social justice related guilds on gaia? I found one but there was one thread and it was basically "omgz we haz a guild lolz."

I'm trying to pack up the bare minimum of my life so I can move from the only home I've ever known to an apartment several states away in two days and even though this is possibly only for the summer I still have too much crap.
I can't even go to sleep because there's a mountain of clothes on my bed. grrgh.

I am very much behind on news behind one of my favorite books, The Sparrow (which I think you should all go out and read). The books main character is Fr. Emilio Sandoz, SOJ and linguist. He's Latino, which figures prominently within the books.
Apparently Brad Pitt wants to develop a movie on it (yay!) and star in it as Sandoz. Granted, that news was from 2006, but still....STILL...what a waste and what a whitewashing that would be.
