KB arched a brow to the last question, and though he'd poured over the battle schematics himself in the past, Tegral had an entirely different vision of it all. "We're all living machines." KB answered, dodging the point and instead throwing in a round of semantecs. He was sure it would annoy Tegral, as Tegral rarely seemed interested in such methods of fulfillment.

"As for air-support..." KB started, clearly annoyed at Teg's assesment of KB's tactical ability. "They'd have made no difference at all. The previous barrier was as far as I can tell a prototype field, likely irreplacable. Likely a fluke design of Mastema's... maybe Than's. I can't say for sure, though I'd love to see their state." KB seemed to drift off into memory, regarding the injuries inflicted to Thanatos in the past. The battle continued to relay before him, and he watched as the BG bombardment decimated the key defensive positions, the air support raining destruction on the front lines even as thousands of KB's drones poured into the streets.

KB didn't want a clean victory, he wanted carnage, he wanted carcasses in the streets. "Tell me Tegral... have I ever told you of a young boy that resides int he Citadel?" KB grinned to himself, rememberance of Eecheb causing his thoughts to tumble recklessly.

"Very likely. Though if you did I either thought it inconsequensial or just annoying at the time and forgot." Slipping his .454 magnum into his coat, a tailored holster beside his left breast pocket cradling the weapon like a deadly infant, Tegral reached down to scoop up a hand full of snow, pure, clean, and white. The water dripped between his fingers as he took a nice hefty bite. Icey cold water slid down his throat, his lips and fingers burning from the cold, as he crunched the snow that hadn't immediately melted in his mouth. "You know I'm bored." Snow fell from his turned hand, slightly pinkened compared to the rest of his self. And he was cold. It wasn't a question so much as a statement of the obvious. Tegral was bored! Ten whole months and not a single thing reathed in the luminous glow of plasma flames pulled from the same source of energy that gave the sun it's eternal fire.

The Nahil had engaged the drone's hive mind, it seemed. The prototype AI was actually surpassing war-link interface expectation, drawing up general schematics of the structure's design based on previously destroyed hives of similar origins in space. It's manipulation of the data was really quite impressive, to say the least. Already the captain had more than sixty percent of all hostile forces either destroyed or incapacitated while still retaining upwards of ninety three percent of his own forces. And he still hadn't even brought the Nahil's long range batteries into active useage! Of course it wasn't the captain's doing, he just did what ever the AI ordered him to, as per his orders from Tegral himself. Amazing...now what was he going to call the new unit once it arrived?

"Dissolution." KB stated sternly, turning to focus his gaze upon Tegral. The optical enhancement slid back to it's hidden place, KB's brighter eyes flashing over Tegral. The red of each iris bled away into a cool blue, perhaps a revelation of sorts, or likely a simple recreation. KB held Tegral in his gaze, his right hand casualy falling upon the pistol holstered on his right hip. His black, gloved hand gently pet the gun, a subtle twitch of eagerness.

"It's what I expect if things are pursued too far." KB was of course speaking of Tegral's antics. He hadn't easily forgotten the last time he'd toyed with such advanced mechanics. The result had been terrible, and the vengeance exerted therein had rocked his outposts across many worlds.

Tegral was momentarily deafened to KB's words as a different signal wracked his circutry. A voice, soft and smooth as silk, blossomed to life within his ears and spoke words not even the greatest of ears could detect. "Tegral," This voice said over a rumbling back ground noise that dined all other sounds, "This is Kah. I'm enroute, where are you?" The voice, or rather electrical signals interpreted by Tegral's brain as words and sound, origionated from a location deep in the depths of the forest, a transmission over a heavily encoded, direct, link. The likelyhood anyone, even KB himself, could aquire the signal, let alone decypher it's protection, was ziltch.

Tegral's mouth opened, and said, rather than responding to KB, "Same place, Kah." A becon had been activated the day before for the respective parties of Tegral's new traveling companions. Over the past couple of hours Tegral has been doing that, seemingly speaking to random people who could not be found. Oh very likely KB knew it was an audio transmission, but still the sight of Tegral, decked out in finery, talking to the thin of air holding a magnum wasn't exactly...sane.

"Understood, I'll be there in ten." The voice said again, Kah he had named it. A moment of confusion passed before Tegral's face, "You're comeing here?" He asked the snow covered landscape. The responce was empty and Tegral began chuckling. Oh he definately didn't look sane at all.

"Oops, sorry there Trill. Need some help?"

Cole looks sheepish and extends a hand down to the little girl, large furry creature forgotten for the moment.

*the wolf stood up, his ears and tail sticking well above the snow. shaking to get the snow out of his fur, sending a fair amount raining down on the 2 hitchhikers that had joined for the trip into the crater.*

Trilla: Ahh--!

*The sudden shower of snow down upon Trilla and Cole would make Trilla, cover her head with both her arms. A small and surprised yep followed as soon as the snow reached her skin. It was likely that Trilla would keep her arms up, as protection from the snow for several seconds, even after the shaking stopped. One could only imagine if the snow was instead just plain water. Something to consider for the summer perhaps as an entertaining idea on a hot day. Nothing like having an unexpected shower to pick you up on days like that after all, but that was something still a few months off. Trilla would peek just a little out from under her arm after the snow seemed to stop falling off of the large wolf*

"If it were not for a crater full of snow, I would think you would all be insane to be down there," Mastema's voice came quite clearly from the top edge of the crater where the trio had fallen down. Squatting down at the edge, Mastema observed all three, noticing the oversized wolf that had caused mischief here and there. Of course, he knew there 'should' have been a building here, but a bizarre anamoly had caused it to disappear some time back, and he already knew the cause, though said nothing of it. His black hair flowing in a light breeze, he just continued to look down at the group.

*Blink blink blink.*

"Oi! Hello again there and who are you?"

Cole seems to have noticed the wolf again and turns to address him when showered with snow. While he does he waves a hand at Trilla, reciting something under his breath. A sustenance spell would keep the cold from effecting Trilla too badly, but hopefully was 'quiet' enough magic that the little girl wouldn't notice Cole's concern.

"Oh! Hola Mastema, fine day yes?"

*when the wolf heard mastema's voice, he went back to wagging his tail and seemd to be very proud of himself for their current location. to him, it had been a short slide in to the snow that had turned out to be fun. looking at cole, the wolf tilted its head thinking for a moment. not really knowing how to answer, the wolf gave the strange new person a quick lick.*

Trilla: 4laugh Papa~ heart

*The cute squeak would come from Trilla a moment or two after Mastema had arrived and spoken. Her response to Mastema being there, was much like that of the wolf... only minus the tail. Trilla wouldn't notice Cole's spell since she had been hiding herself from snow at the time. The three seemed to be well off, and there didn't appear to be any injuries. Aside from the fact the three were stuck in a crater, they seemed well*

Mastema chuckled once at Trilla's greetings, of course having expected such a response. It didn't seem Trilla had much else to say, but Mastema hadn't dragged himself all the way out here just to say hi and bye. "Hello, Trilla..... I was simply making sure you were all right being out this time of the evening." Turning his attention from the girl to Cole, Mas raised an eyebrow at the man. ".......and what was your name again?" Mastema had avoided most all contact with Cole since the man had come to reside there. Whenever they did meet, Mastema had probably scared him off with his your-head-is-going-to-implode stare.

-_-

"Cole, for the dozenth time, remember? I've been having a one-sided discussion with you on and off for the past nine months, as well as attending classes with your children taught by your wife while living in your Citadel. Any of this ringing a bell?"

Damn this routine got old.

*While Cole tried to charge Mastema's memory, Trilla stood up and shook the snow off of her feathers. Shortly after that, she had lined Mastema up in her sights and started towards him. Unfortunately for Trilla, she was too short, and the crater too tall. The child also had little in the ways of momentum. As she neared Mastema, suddenly he would start getting further away. The ground was a bit loose, and the angle made the materials slide back down into the crater. Not being detured at first, Trilla would this time take a run at it. Unfortunatly this time was no better, and Trilla would wind up slipping, and slowly sliding back to the Wolf's and Cole's side. Needless to say, Trilla wasn't happy that she couldn't get out now*

Trilla: | T___T | *huff*

Mastema rolled his neck a bit while Cole got annoyed. He must've just blocked out whatever the man had to say when Cole wanted to say something. "Right.... I will try to keep that in mind next time, but I have a lot of projects and priorities keeping me from paying much attention. Try not to take it personally." Mastema turned back just in time to see Trilla make her second attempt to scale the crater only to slide back down. He chuckled quietly to himself. "Now now, Trilla, let's try not to get upset." Offering the girl a slight smile, Mastema stood up and put one foot down inside the crater. In a controlled motion, Mastema slid down to the snow just a few feet from Trilla and the others. Now on equal footing, Mastema crouched down to about Trilla's height.
