Alpha yawned rolling his eyes slightly "Well if guilds are moving elsewhere then technically he has reduced crime. What ya need is a mass increase in independant thievery to spite Alex someday. As for Psy, well so long as you didn't try to rob him theres pleanty of work for thieves out in the desert even if the luxury lifestyle isn't that great over there
Seph raised her eyebrow her image of Itaka's farm having suddenly changed a little "A big bed you say? Last time I checked farm houses were just tiny little things and everything was in small size so a bed would barely fit two people in" she snickered not having seen a more upmarket type farm "Will there be any members of staff around? Could be very awkward if some pop up around and about unexpectedly"
Hebal grinned rounding up Gil and Satoshi by linking them together with their arms "Just let the judgemaster be a grump, I would be upset too if I hadn't managed to solve who had been match ficing" she whispered leading them into the new room. "Oooh check out this window, it's like at least a quarter of the way around the arena" she gasped failing to notice the prizes on display.

Felina nodded deciding not to point out that trees came before dragons in history making them significantly older "They probably would struggle against the moogles but Hayate rold me gria make good archers due to their good vision and sense of distence. It's just they are the least common of gria fighers to my knowledge. Probably because they could always hunt stuff by swooping down and hacking away" she recalled allowing Cid to climb up her shoulder to look out the window.
Satoshi frowned a little but didn't have time to say anything before being rounded in with Zadina by Hebal. "Yeah... you can tell which room is always taken in this place with a window that big. But check out the prizes... the gamblers spirit is so small but you can't grumble at the 100K it's sitting on top of and that trophy"

Oassu smiled "I thought Geomancers were supposed to be rarer since that's like the only magical profession Gria are competent in but nevermind I'm sure there's a perfectly nice reason for all the technology up here that doesn't involve lots of war" he said.
Gil grinned "Yep it certainly does look quite nice I think I'd forgotten it came with a monetary prize, unfortunately I'm not letting the couple keep that part of it" he said stepping into the new room "Looks like there's a nice silver and bronze sword trophy for the runners up too" he said noting them on the small pedestal but grimacing as he saw a row of Photographers who were already snapping pictures of Aechotiau before turning their attention to him.
Zadina gasped closing his eyes in surprise at the flash "Ah that's not too nice" he said swiftly moving out of the way of the cameras "Though I suppose it was something we should have expected really" he said looking over at the small gamblers spirit crystal "Wonder what else it is used for to make it so rare and valuable, you'd think a highly valued sword would be the prize" he said to Hebal standing aside to let the press take photos of Gil.
Itaka shook his head "No farm houses are normally big in Agralia, all that space in just a field allows you to expand, plus you need quarters for the staff though why would it be awkward having staff there?" he asked "Plus you need a place for stables and to store food for yourself and chocobos then the field." he said counting off the things he had "And a well for water place for firewood in the winter I mean the house isn't a giant mansion but it's big enough" he said
Barbaros shrugged "Think I'll pass, desert is hard livin, don't wanna make things harder for people out there, besides Hayate's people already have a tight grip on the region they wouldn't take kindly to any other interlopers in their business."
Jenna nodded "And independent thievery in the city is easy to catch out, without the guild there's no more fences or places to really hide so it wouldn't properly achieve anything by getting people to do that just get a lot of people killed if Alex wishes it" she said.

Hebal jumped back letting everyone go in surprise "waah so many flashes like that are blinding" she moaned trying to focus her eyes on the prizes. "That think looks familiar.... oh oh I think I know. That little thing is meant to greatly boost the abilities and skills of the person who owns it. Now there was some way to activate it but I dunno that bit. I sort of forgot what my armour teacher lady taught me" she sighed having wanted to show off her knowledge a little more.
Aechotiau let out a small sigh of relief now the attention was being drawn away from him "They are all yours now fortunately. Those people are really strange wanting pitures of everyone who they barely know" he mumbled as he slipped back into the crowd.
Alpha sighed deciding not to lecture them on how in his day there were no guilds for thieves to hide behind "Alex will get whats coming to him eventually though it does make me wonder what the guy is up to right now due to not having seen him in a while. I bet he's planning something... but for now theres no point investigating when theres fun to be had. Don't let the guy ruin your dragon festival with worries and complaints" he smiled.
Seph shrugged seeing Itaka didn't quite get what sort of activites she had in mind "Nah the staff shouldn't be too bad unless they are constantly spying on us. I just pictured that it would be a small house with a big barn and field. A big barn in comparison that is since I didn't think you kept all that many chocobos"

Felina paused pressing her face up against the window with Cid's as she admired the street lights "I dunno, you have a point but depends on the cloud mystery again. Might help in maintaining things and the weather if we are standing on real clouds. Why would gria want to learn geomancy of all things I wonder, I mean despite the logic as to why it might be a good idea to learn it most elves don't even consider it"
Satoshi turned her head surprised by Hebal "It's like an alchemy or enchantment item or something then? Surely a big fancy sword would have been better. If theres too many photographers about for you though feel free to run off into the crowds and watch from afar" she told her noticing she wasn't a fan of the treatment. "As if Felina would take the money prize from you anyway, she probably got more than that as pocket money when she was little knowing how wealthy she is"

Oassu smiled thinking it was cute how Cid and Felina imitated each other "Well nevermind it's not something we need to know and what's wrong with Geomancy?" he asked as the bus arrived at the stadium "This is our stop c'mon let's hurry to the arena!" he said getting to his feet.
Gil smiled and waved once at the cameras before moving away into the throng of guests at the side "Blasted photographers, everywhere else in the world I'm left in peace it's only because Gria make a big deal out of combat tournaments I get this treatment" he said.
Zadina giggled "You are really clever Miss Hebal but remember Sir Gil you promised to give it to Oassu and Felina no putting it in your armour to mega power yourself up anymore besides you don't even need it to keep you strong!" he said happily.
Barbaros sighed "It's not like he's persecuting those who were in thieves guilds and he barely knows us so can probably live normal lives if we wanted. I could even go back into legal work if I wanted but we'll need to see what happens" he said getting up.
Jenna smiled "That was quick" she said briskly "But suit yourself Barbaros I'm not letting my daddy's thieves guild die with me, think of the shame in the next world, need to find somewhere new to prosper even if I have to start it all up again from a shabby storehouse somewhere" she said.
Itaka scratched his chin "Well no the house is a little smaller than the barn but not by too much, sorry but it's still nice and if you like I can always tell the staff to go home during the holidays, I mean normally they do for the dragon festival but they stop in to check on the chocobos and make sure they are warm and fed" he said stretching "Though if you don't want them there we'll need to pick up the slack with the chocobos and cook all our own food ourselves" he chuckled.

Hebal smiled keeping out the photographers way "Well you know... could always think of it as a way to add to the photo album meaning making a nice pose with everyone" she suggested resisting the urge to try to hold the prize and have a feel. "Your efforts in the tournament have been for a mega good cause you know, the elven royals are great allies to have and you've earned yourself a nice little sum... what ya gonna spend the money on, something luxurious?"
Seph snickered pulling Itaka up from his seat once the bus had stopped "I can do either I guess... could cook you dinner although it wouldn't exactly be a 5 star menu everyday. Why not just keep one or two members of staff about" she suggested thinking it may be a good idea to fish out one of her old cook books from her bag sometime soon.
Alpha raised his eyebrow surprised "So what work were you involved in besides stealing? I just assumed that the majority of you got into the thief business before you were even old enough to work. Though why don't ya go travelling a little Jenna, instead of just plonking yourself down in Tricasia you always got time to wander around and scout for a good place with little competition"

Felina grinned excitedly picking up Cid and hopping out of her seat "I don't think theres anything wrong with geomancy but its just not as popular as it used to be, maybe because of the increased knowledge about nature without magic to help out. But lets not worry about that, lets enjoy the show and dance the night away to the lovely music" she giggled almost forgetting to wait for the others.
Satoshi sighed holding on to one of Gil's arms "Just relax a little for now and then tonight and tomorrow onwards we'll be totally private as nobody in my village would dare let anyone in with a camera without a massive fight on their hands. As for the posing... I would like to think it would be more fun to do the photo taking ourselves with the camera you picked up in Tricasia if you still have it"

Oassu shrugged "Well it's not really about learning about nature is it? It's about harnessing it's magic?" he said uncertainly only having a limited understanding of magic "Still yeah we'll have a good time tonight and just relax" he said hopping down off the airship.
Gil nodded "That's true though will still need to do quite a trek to get to your village I think" he said stretching "Wonder when this thing will begin anyway" he said noting people had finished being herded into the room "Though it would be better to take more personal photos." he added "I'll probably just put the money in my bank" he said simply.
Zadina nodded in agreement "That's a fine investment but you could buy lots of nice things with that like a really cool house or something" he said "Though I'm sure the royal family is friendly enough with you already" he said.
Itaka chuckled "You can make up your mind later" he said hearing music from outside "Think we need to hurry and get seats in the arena before it starts though the staff are all nice enough so don't know why you're so worried" he said.
Barbaros shrugged "I've not been involved in anything else, was in the army for a little while during the Agralian civil war a little while ago but the army didn't really do anything for me so I went into thieving to get my own back a little at the government." he said.
Jenna sighed "I guess I could travel a bit, though would need to at least leave Agralia but we'll see still got a while before I leave so I'll just think on it for now" she said nudging Barbaros to make him move down and off the bus.

Seph shrugged jumping off the bus "Meh will see what mood the staff are in, some might wanna go spend time with their families where as others just might wanna earn that extra bit of cash over the festical" she pointed out lifting herself up of the ground "At least the people are being moved inside the arena at a steady pace from the looks of things" she noted spying on the arena from her new height.
Hebal nodded suddenly remembering she had to go back to the hotel sometime "Yeah though would need to pick it up and our things at the hotel before we go back to the airship meaning we maybe leave here a little earlier. If you saved up real good since you earn lots you could even buy a house made of solid gold. Or buy a cake the size of an airship" she suggested knowing wich of the two she would rather have.
Alpha couldn't help but snicker "You a soldier? Was gonna say Itaka sure corrupted you good. Not that being a soldier is an especially good career choice anyway. They conscripted me and my oldest kid into the army during the demon war and it wasn't pleasent. But travel away, Boco should make adventuring a breeze for ya"

Felina grinned taking hold of Oassu's hand "Too late to tell me to relax now, I'm excited for the fireworks and the pretty show and things for later. Elithana told me the show was really good when she saw it. Thats what geomancy is all about but some things geomancers can do can also be done by a nonmagical mean nowerdays such as predicting the weather"
Satoshi paused to see if things were starting or not when the judgemaster came to the front "I suppose if you let me have a good night sleep I could teleport us some of the way so theres less hiking involved. Though if I had that money I would get myself a pet horse, its what we have for travel instead of chocobos"
Evori smiled waiting for the crowd to quieten down a little more before choosing to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to thank you all for coming tonight and throughout the past few days for the tournament and I hope you've had a good time here so far. Anyway I'll keep this brief because I know that you'll be all wanting to find a good spot for the soon to begin celebrations" she greeted them moving straight towards the silver sword "Unfortunately for us he third place winner of the tournament is not present this evening so I would like to announce that the 2nd place warrior for this years tournament is Mr. Aechotiau" she announced gesturing for the garif to come up and accept his prize while the crowd applauded.
"Excuse me you guys, that trophy is for Miss Mari so you'll have to go give it to her when you go home" came the voice of a rather familiar smaller than most gria who had been tugging at Zadina's clothes.

Oassu laughed getting caught up in Felina's good mood "Yeah I'm sure its fine, but bet there's some bonus to geomancy that makes it appealing, Zadina probably knows more than me about it" he said "Bet Geomancers were pretty big deals back before we had that technology would help in farming and everything" he said stepping past a flame juggler in the street.
Gil nodded applauding politely for Aechotiau "You don't need to tire yourself out on my behalf, trust me I'm fairly used to hiking in the wilds" he whispered to Satoshi deciding it was best to be quiet for the announcements.
Zadina turned and looked down at the little Judge "Oh Judge Alanu! I thought I'd heard something awful had happened to you" he said crouching down behind the crowd so no one would hear "I'm glad your ok your lawfulness I knew those rumours wouldn't be true" he said brightly "But will we just be allowed to take the trophy? Does the judgemaster know?" he asked.
Itaka chuckled "Alright I figured you'd be too lazy to run the farm just ourselves" he said looking up at Seph "Don't fly too high, remember Gria don't like fliers trying to peek in the Arena, figure they're used to it" he snickered thinking the arena should really have a roof "But it's probably just because we're running late most people will be in by now" he said.
Barbaros grunted bashing Alpha on the arm "Hey mon you of all people should know fighting in armies is no fun" he said "Was how I met my wife actually, doing a tour of Graszton so it wasn't all bad though she did persuade me to leave the forces" he chuckled "Yeah but the army had so many deserters back then they probably didn't keep track of them all" he said.
Jenna frowned remembering the civil war vaguely "I remember it a little bit, people wanted Graszton to have it's own government wanted to be free of Agralian rule," she shrugged "Don't get why it's one of the closest towns to the capital" she said
Barbaros nodded "Dat's true but it was founded originally by refugees from Mineerin from the demon wars, tis why it's no so huge and they were never actually Agralian." he shrugged "Been living fine with it for years, just someone wanted to stir up trouble, turns out a few people agreed with him and the conflict escalated. I hear it's still a good way to start a fight in Graszton bars." he said.

Alpha sighed pushing away the negative thoughts that sprung to mind "Nice to know somebody got something good out of army work. Most people including myself just lose loads. I also know what happens to desserters when caught from personal experience" he mumbled looking back as he walked to view the bus pulling away. "I wouldn't what that lot too close to my city without an Agralian ruler or superviser at least or else it could lead to uprisings eventualy. Still bar brawls can be quite fun sometimes, can make a great distraction when the law enforces start chasing ya up"
Seph hesitated lowering herself down to a slightly more reasonnable height "Well I would like some time to relax with you rather than work the farm but the cooking part I have no problems with doing for you and the odd job, since I have worked on a chocobo farm before. Could like without the musking out part if I can avoid it" she explained patting the top of his head.
Hebal turned around resisting the urge to squeal at Alanu "Hiya you, I didn't realise Mari came third, she sure didn't mention it. But I'm super glad you didn't get locked up like that little trainee jusde said you were this morning " she happily greeted her almost forgetting to keep the noise down as she joined in the crowd in aaplauding a somewhat shy blushing garif.

Satoshi smiled surprised to hear Mari had won something "It's not like I'll be using my jutsu all that much while relaxing at home anyway so may as well get you there as fast as possible for more time to do things" she whispered back before turning to Alanu "I thought Mari got knocked out so didn't win anything, is it true about you been locked up"
Alanu sighed and nodded her head "Yeah and released on lack of evidence. As for Mari, she was in the final four was she not, and then theres the fact that the other lady who got beat up real good by Gil. She wasn't able to recover for the third place match meaning Mari sort of won that one by default" she explained dismissing off the thought it may have been intentional that Gil gave that opponant such a beating for others. "Umm yeah and let me introduce you to my little boy. He's a little shy in case you haven't guessed" she changed the subject pulling forward a young gria half the size of herself who had been hiding behind her a little intimidated by the people in front.
Felina stopped partly to wait for the others but also to watch the flame juggler perform "With technology improving some magical spells aren't needed as much. But never mind, we have all the magic we could need for now and more. Also may I add, this little guy is wanting your attention" she groaned as Cid struggled in her grip for freedon.

Gil nodded "Well she seems to have recovered enough for the party tonight, must've just been pretty weak" he shrugged "Still hello there young man it's a pleasure to meet you" he said offering one of his lower arms in a handshake.
Zadina smiled "He's really cute, how old is he?" he asked kneeling down to the boy before cupping his hands and making a magical butterfly in them that flew over to the young boy and landed on his head "I'm Zadina Loweena, what's your name?" he asked.
Oassu smiled taking Cid from Felina to give him a big hug "Maybe he's just nervous because of the fire, some animals don't like fireworks and stuff like that, might need to keep him in your bag for the festival" he added stroking Cid's fur as he walked on.
Barbaros shrugged "Like I said they've lived fine as an Agralian city for many years was just a few folks who riled up trouble, y'know how it is suddenly something you don't care about becomes as important as blood when others get ya going" he shrugged "Plus the war's also where I got my trusty sister ray good girl's been reliable ever since" he said.
Jenna shook her head "Hey now don't go starting bar brawls in Graszton over stuff like that, not nice to tease plus it can get pretty serious, hear there's occasionally terrorist groups there operating for Mineerin independence so a bar brawl might involve more than fists though you kinda have an unfair advantage in them anyway Alpha" she said.
Itaka chuckled "I'll bet, probably the worst duty though you already have to clean up after Chobi on the airship but you can decide later if you want staff or not, not too lower class to have a few people working for you after all" he said watching the fire juggler "Man Alpha would so cheat at that" he added
