Shunketsu crossed his half-sais and formed an X. He caught Shin's blade in the top V portion and forced it to slide up and over Shunketsu. Taking a lower route, Shunketsu charged forward and did a scissor cross-slash at Shin's gut again...

He used all his might in his leg muscles. To launch himself into the air and flip. Landing back to back with Shunketsu himself. He could even feel the his robe slightly drifting with his own. He moved his sword into posistion aiming for the back. He than moved the sword into the air and shoved it down.

Shunketsu did some quick moves of his own, spinning around Shin, Shunketsu positioned them face to face...although they were farther apart than they were back to back...or it'd just be weird...Shunketsu then thrust both half-sais forward...

Shin easily blocked both of them with his blade, than pushing with his left hand on the blade to the side. Moving Shunketsu to the side as well, giving Shin an oppurtunity to strike right towards his ribs, which he did. Of course.

Shunketsu ducked under and came back up at Shin with yet another cross-slash...hey...it's effective...doesn't look like much, but Shunketsu didn't want to do anything fancy...

Shin wasen't fast enough to dodge this one. He got sever damage but held his ground by using his left hand to grab a hold of Shunketsu. The blood flooded, the pain rushed. Shin eyes flickered from open to closed. His face experession twixed. "He.. He got me... It hurts.." he could see his blood streaming out of his stomach.
Attack: 4 + 1 = [5]
But still. He had to prove himself a worthy opponent. So, he slowly. Moved his sword, and attempted to stab Shunketsu's foot as he fell towards the ground and hit it head on. With a loud crash. "I.. I gues... That.. That is the end of.. Round one" after that he passed out.

Shin's barely conscious state impaired his aim...and stabbed just to the side of Shunketsu's foot...
"hang in there buddy...The meds will take care of ya..."
Shunketsu was happy he won, but he didn't like how they nearly killed eachother. Picking Shin up, Shunketsu rushed him to the medical tent. Shin's life was hanging on by a thread, and Shunketsu didn't have time to waste...

""Oh? Some new meat to dig into?" a doctor said as he heard a door "bell" ring before he met the eyes of Shin. "Okay lets see wha-... Oh my god?! What has happend? This does not looks like normal sparr wounds! This is.. Is.. Is like a slaughter!" the doctor starred at the patient before calling a medical opperation. All the nurses and doctors pinched in when ever they could. Sewing up the wounds, healing them, pointing out that his cloth were very worn out. After about an half of hour. They were done.
Shin slept well on the comfy hospital bed. Dreaming of him owning an own hotdog-stand right here in Soul Society.

Shunketsu apologized for his actions and stepped back outside... I hope he gets better...didn't mean to "slaughter" him...Shunketsu would've liked to sit there and feel guilty about his actions, but his promise to his friends and to himself came first. He must get stronger. He must get better, at almost any cost. hmm...I used most of my main attacks already. When he comes out, he'll be expecting the same moves. I've gotta think of a way to get around that...Shunketsu thought about it, and he realized he had a bunch of manuevers he hadn't quite done yet, but he wanted to do something to increase his chances... " try attack combos..." hmm...yes...huh? wait a minute...stop talking to me..." You use me, I get to talk as much as I want..." fine...be that way...and did you have to be so lethal?" yes..." Shunketsu shrugged it off and took out his half-sais, retreating to an empty area while he was at it... "ok...combos...Step one..." Shunketsu charged at an imaginary opponent, and then swung both half-sais in a 1o'clock to 7o'clock angle... "Step two" Shunketsu then immediately dove to the side, rolled a bit and then concluded this would be a decent attack and run combination... [12]

"Step 3" Shunketsu rushed forward again, this time keeping low to the ground, as he approached the area where he had "attacked" earlier, he propelled himself upward, slashing his left-handed half-sai up in a 6-12 o'clock motion...He made sure his movement didn't send him airborne, for that would leave him unprotected. Then, as he finished his left hand attack, Shunketsu spun clockwise and slashed horizontally with his right-handed half-sai... " watch it..." "Step 4!" Quickly Shunketsu realized he spent too much time after the initial attack and proceeded to the next move...He pushed himself off his front foot and backslid away from the area... "Steps 3 and 4...complete...now...what to do for the next step?" [13]

With a gentle tone, Shin tried to speak his words. But they wouldn't come out. He had awoken. But he was still very tierd. His muscles were slowly recovering to it's normal and energetic state since a nurse came back to him once a few minutes just to check his blood preasure, heartbeat and give me a small doze of healing from time to time. "Shiiiin?" a cruel, twisted and sadistic tone said, "why are you laying here, huh Shin-chan? There is a big bad boy out there that deserves to be treated just the way he acts" Shin tried to shake his head to ignore the voice but he couldn't. He moved his eyes towards his katana that was laying just a few feet to his side. "Oh, don't look at me like that. I know you want to beat him into a bloody pulp. But you don't have the GUTS!" he last word was screamed, as if someone stod just a couple of inches by his ears. "you've never had the guts to finish the job! You'll never be a death god. AND.. YOU.. WILL.. NEVER.. HELP.. TENCHI!". "Be quiet.. Everything you say are nonesens. I will litsen to you when I need to hear you. Not now. I am too busy" that was the first time Shin talked back at the voice from the sword. "... He will get so angry with me now.."[1]

"Step 5" Shunketsu imitated his previous backslide again and then rushed forward. He then jumped into the air, did a few forward flips and slashed both his half-sais downward, which, if there was an opponent, could potentially slash from shoulder to the bottom of the ribcage... "Step 6" Upon landing, Shunketsu needed to think of the easiest way to avoid any attack...the way Shunketsu landed, he pushed off his left foot, went sideways, did a soft roll and regained balance... "hmm...that was easy enough..." [14]

"Okay.. Just.. A couple.. Of.. More.. Secounds! There we go Shin, you are as good as new!" Shin took the sword, jumped over the other patience that lay in his way to the exit of the tent. As he stepped out, he immiedtly spotted his classmate and drawed his sword. "Shunketsu. Lets do this. I am ready to learn and get stronger! Teach me the way to lose with hounor!" he tighten the hold of his sword as he leaped forward and slashed towards his classmate.

Shunketsu was rather surprised by how fast Shin recovered but recovered from that shock soon enough. Shunketsu backslid to avoid the oncoming blade. Afterwards, Shunketsu charged forward at Shin.
Step One...
Shunketsu positioned both half-sais above him and slashed downward at Shin, from 1o'clock to 7o'clock...
