Pick_Your_Poison "Easy for you to say." Poison sighed and said, "I don't have a lot of people that's to close to me since I'm so far away from my true family in Montreal. The things I got from so long ago is all I have left. You can't buy back a memory." Oui, Ryu-san is right. You can't buy back a memory, but it can't be stolen neither. The thing that was taken, wasn't that important. The family, and what you wanted to keep in mind about them, that's important. If you can't keep the family in mind without the thing - if it's true that now that the thing is gone you have nothing left of them - maybe it's time to try and reconnect with the family. And for the first time in over 10 years, I can say that without being hypocritical. Thanks to Sa, I met with my parents over these holidays, for the first time since I ran away something like 12 years ago.

Aenakume Thanks to Sa, I met with my parents over these holidays, for the first time since I ran away something like 12 years ago. Er, well, you're welcome, I guess, but, it didn't actually go very well. Or did it? It certainly didn't look so to me. sweatdrop

It's a lot more complicated than that though. Money is a big deal first of all. A ticket to Montreal isn't exactly close to free. Also, who on earth knows where my family is. I haven't talked to them in forever. It's like saying 'Wheres Waldo?'
I know I could think of a million and one reasons why I shouldn't go but honestly that's because nothing in me tells me I should. My life here is where I need to be. At least until I can figure out what to do with it. Until then, I can't be ripping myself into two pieces. The girl in montreal will have to wait another few years.

"I'm in Arizona right now. I used to live with my uncle but I moved out a few months ago. My real family is in Montreal."

Anna, this is a wierd question, but can I share your little commentary about memories with my girl? It's nothing to do with being robbed, but I think they might be useful words for her.

I always knew it wasn't the item that held the memory. It's just a shame when you loose a gift given to you from the heart.

DeirdreTonbo Anna, this is a wierd question, but can I share your little commentary about memories with my girl? It's nothing to do with being robbed, but I think they might be useful words for her. You mean I made sense? Yeah, sure, I don't mind. Pick_Your_Poison I always knew it wasn't the item that held the memory. It's just a shame when you loose a gift given to you from the heart. Oh yeah, and it is true that sometimes holding or looking at a thing can bring you back to a place in your memories. Just never forget that the thing is just a thing, and the memories are really inside you, not the thing. It might help you get through the bullshit you're dealing with now.

Holy cow. >.<
I'm totally not into dolls - and the dolls I played with as a little girl were all handmade - but the hair on her is awesome.

I REALLY want a new wig for her. *lol* But I like that one enough not to butcher it. ^__^; None of those photos show how awful the blue shirt I made for her is either.
