Ruby glanced into the infirmary and raised an eyebrow at the Chief on the floor. "Usually folks sleep in the bed..... but I suppose I've spent enough time on the floor myself, so I shouldn't complain any."

He rubbed his nose, standing up, looking around. "Ra went through a portal just now. She's gone." "Ah," Ruby said, leaning against the door frame. "Figured she'd do that eventually, though I was hopin' she'd let herself heal up first. It's a bit overwhelmin' an' crowded here, hard to find a place of peace, I was on my way to spend the afternoon in the linen closet, myself. Can't blame her for wantin' to go home." Ruby looked at his nose. "You gonna be all right?"

"Just a bump, don't need any care." He brushed himself off, glancing around. He quickly rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Yeah, it'll be crowded for a while. We've got some folks out there working on rebuilding the damaged buildings. Even the Atlanteans are helping. Prolly wouldn't have bombarded this place so hard if they knew we were all going to be living here." The Chief grabbed his coat from the back of the chair he was sleeping on, throwing it over his shoulder and heading for the door.
"Your closet would probably be quieter than the rest of this place. Do you know where the Angel is?"

"Will still take a good 'mount of time, even with folks workin' on it. An' I'm as much a refugee as the rest, damn I'd kill to get to the lower levels, with my clothes an a decent place to shower. Almost worth the death trip down there, almost." She gave a slight shrug. "The angel was in his bus, last time I saw, sleepin'. Why do you ask, plannin' somethin?"

Minerva the Marvelous Minerva wasn't actually on the streets of Phoenix, but actively searching through the supply closet at the AA base, collecting random things that had warnings of either "Flammable" or "Contents may explode under pressure." She passed the items over to Verve and AC whenever she found them. Cheerfully whistling a Beatles song as she worked. Sean started towards the AA base, after having realized, much to his irritation, Steube couldn't ******** read and sent him to the wrong location and planned to shank him while he was asleep... But that's a story for a different thread.

"Yeah, yeah, that he is." Ruby glanced down at her moth necklace and fiddled with it for a moment. "The death trap, sug, would be the elevator, an' it's fancy anti-power shielding. Arch doesn't usually like me tellin' folks, but I have a slight problem when it comes to losin' my powers. The problem bein' I don't stay alive without 'em. Almost got myself caught in it earlier, but I remembered quick enough, an' got out. I s'pose it would be kinda awkward openin' up the elevator an' findin' a body slumped up in a corner."

AC carried the extra explosives and flammables with glee, not trusting the kids to carry any. She just piled them on top of her box in an increasingly unstable-looking pile and a bounce in her step. They were in no danger of falling, of course. Wouldn't want them to go off early! But she did send Unhae off to find some popcorn for them all.

Aaron walked through the AA base handing out fliers/invitations for the Masquerade ball, as his mother had asked him.
The name of the hostess was simply stated as, "The Queen of Hearts," being the hostess didn't want anyone placing the party as a function associated with the AA...and for the most part keep her involvement hidden. Food was guaranteed to be available, along with drink and entertainment, and for those who could not find their own mask, a basic mask would be handed out free of charge. Date or groups of anykind were discouraged, the ideal desire being that no one would know who anyone else was, or at least not right away. (massive creative dressup is always encouraged). (yeah yeah yeah, I'm a lazy bum for not rewriting it for everythread, bite me.)
After finishing up his job, he went back outside the base, to get his promised treat, and to help pick out the balloons.

The Chief took a flier, glancing at it, shrugging after reading it all and setting it on the table next to him.
"That could be a problem, yeah, but I think you told me that last time I saw you." The Chief headed for the door.
"Good luck with the closet." He said, walking out.

"I believe I did, but a lot of folks seem to forget it." She glanced at the flier on the table, raised an eyebrow, then placed it back. "Thanks." She was already deciding not to go back into the linen closet, but didn't bother telling him that. Didn't really matter where they thought she was, if she wasn't missed anyway.

A.C. read through the flier more than once. Normally, she would only have read it twice, but she was having a little trouble concentrating... Once she finally understood what it said, she nodded and put it in a pocket. She had just the costume for it. In the meantime, there were explosions to think about.

((Decided this might be easier, then having to rewrite all of the ending stuff that has been planned out...which is what it was coming close to. ))
Ruby was still debating Alloran's words as she moved out of the base. So if she was always running away from the problem, and Arch was always ignoring the problem, the only way to do anything about the problem was to go straight up and face it. She'd run away later, if necessary, she'd already decided after all that she couldn't leave him, not yet anyway.
Ruby tromped to the bus and pulled the door open. She walked in and stood over the bed, glaring down at the Angel. "Wake up!"

Minerva took one of the fliers and stuck it in her back pocket, while grabbing more of the explosives. She turned to Verve and AC. "I think we're about ready to head to the garage."
