Roxane wasn't done fighting, she tried to get at her brother still, but JC held her back. She tried her hardest to wiggle out of his arms, but he wasn't giving up. It meant she had to switch favorites, "'Nita! I..'Nita!" Making the grabby hands, she teared up as if not getting into Anita's arms would be the end of the world. With Jean's question, he told him that as the oldest brother, he was susposed to look after her because it was an unwritten rule. One she made up to suite her, but she didn't add that.
A vamipre was strong, he was no exception, but JC was having trouble keeping ahold of Roxane without hurting her, or losing and her falling to get hurt. With that child's lungs, they may not even be far enough that she wouldn't be heard by her parents, no matter what they were doing, if she decided to really wail like she had to get her father back yesterday. "Easy, Roxie, easy. I'll give you over but you have to calm down first." Apperently, she wasn't all to happy with that bargain, but she didn't fight as hard.

Nathanial just gave a strange look and hid in Anita's arms. He didn't want his parents involved.
Anita arched a brow. She looked to Roxie. "You have a temper, kid." One that would either save her or keep her out of trouble...So was her assumption.
Jean just grinned at his sister. If his siblings were squabbling about something that didn't involve him, he would just sit back and watch.

This wasn't how it was supposed to work, they were supposed to give her the attention she wanted, and Jean was supposed to look after her. Thats what she wanted, and she knew who to turn to if she didn't get it. Tring again, she reached for Anita, "'Nita!" Tears rolled down the baby's face, leaving a red trail in their wake, in a full out pout, she reached for her Aunt not liking anyone near her right now.
JC spoke watching the baby girl before looking to Anita, "I think you better take her, she can do much worse, and we've heard it. Between her mother and father, there is little wonder the child is a bit hot-blooded." For a moment, he imagined a baby with Anita's temper, took a lot not to sudder.

Anita set Nathanial down beside his brother and took Roxie from her uncle. If it came to a battle of will, they'll find out who's iron will was stronger: Roxie or Anita's.
Nathanial just scooted out of reach and watched his sister.
Jean poked his brother who mewed in protest at the poking.

Roxie was happier to be in Anita's arms, but not as happy because she didn't get there when she wanted to. Her tears stopped, their tracks still red on her cheeks. She smiled, but didn't think Anita deserved it, so there were now dimples on her cheeks, just a smile. Her will was strong, even if it was not as strong as Anita's, stubbornness helpped make up for what she lacked.
JC, seeing as Roxane had calmed, he turns his attention to the boys, feeling a bit sorry for them. Roxane had to be hard to take as a sister.

Jean just ignored half of his sister's protesting and demands, since half didn't involve him anyway.
Anita didn't mind as long as Roxie had calmed down. She hugged the little girl a little bit, watching the boys also.

Roxane wasn't paying attention to her brothers, she was paying all her attention to Anita. Her aunt was starting to redeam herself and Roxie was being generious enough to let her. Giggling lightly, she cuddled into her Aunt's arms.
JC shook his head, smiling for lack of anything else to do. Watching the boys, he just observed their interactions.

Nathanial found a few bugs and was playing with those.
Jean was sitting and observing everything around him. he noticed how green the grass was, his skin was pale and his black tail but he looked around a bit more.
Anita contented herself with enjoying the day. As long as nothing else happened...she was okay...

Roxane spots a buttierfly above her head and reaches for it. Her hands grasped at the bright flying thing but she was unable to actually reach it. Not one to let that stop her, she reached for it more as if will alone would enable her to get it.
JC looked from Nathanial to Jean, one so playful and innoncent, the other innoncent but much more resevered. If he pegged any of the children as vampiric, it would be Jean by his actions. He half way wondered if the child could go completely still, a trick of the vampires, or if his mother's traits would prevent that. It was almost eerie how the children seemed to possess their father's beauty before it was touched by holy water.

Jean wasn't still for long as he decided to explore a little, but was still withen guardian's sight.
Nathanial toyed with on of the bugs, an ant and just watched it, amazedd by the crawling thing.

JC watched Jean very closely, making sure the boy didn't wander too far. If they lost the child, no one would be forgiving about it. Besides, the children had grown on him, he didn't wish them lost or harmed either.
Roxane saw her brother going off and wanted to do the same. It was no acceptable that he get to do anything she could not. Wiggling in Anita's arms, she tried to get away and back to ground where she could move around freely.

Jean glanced at them and frowned at his sister and came back, planting himself back at what would be JC's feet.
Nathanial blinked at his brother, shrugged and went back to playing with the bugs.

JC watched Jean's actions and his siblings. Looking down at the child, he spoke lightly, "I see you've learned already a bit about how to deal with your sister already. You have your work cut out for you." Maybe it was a bad idea to speak to the child as if he was talking with another adult, but the latter he had experince with and seemed a better idea. He hadn't had siblings, but grew up with a royal heir as a constant companion, and whipping boy. He had great idea what it was like to be with trouble every day. Granted, Roxane appeared to have a good heart and a strong mind, she had put her lungs and stubborness into bringing her father back, with Nathanial's help.
That left a quesion, what would be scaryer, Nathanial and Roxane fighting, or working together?
Roxane still tried to get down, there was a world out there, Jean got to see a bit more of it then her, and she was going to fix that!

Jean looked at JC with a small frown. Work? That didn't sound like fun...
Nathanial simply continued playing with the bugs, even showing one to Aunt Anita who squirmed a little, making him giggle.
Anita settled Roxane down, figuring it was safe to do so.

JC could see the child's frown, figuring the boy understood him. He chuckled and told him, "It is a figure of speech and a reality, family can be fun, but they also need to be cared for as they care for you." It was a double edged sword, but an important one. He just looked up in time to see Anita squirm at the bug she was show. Grinning slightly, he chuckled lowly; it was too comical to see his brave Anita, squirming at a bug.
Roxane took to the ground crawling. Flowers, bugs, and that butterfly, were now all at her reach. The butterfly went past Jean and farther away from her. Goal in mind, she crawled forward towards where the butterfly went.
