Lt_Brookman Ophiuchus Reddemon Ophiuchus Think cold. They're Cadian models, but painted in blue. They're the guard force of Stalingrad, the planet mine and Cagalli's marines come from. Maybe some Kelsivite polar bear models? He's referring to the bear mount that Tsar Boris rides and the bear mini that the Mordheim range has. Another option would be something along the lines of jump packs, though it would be interesting trying to explain why they have explosive lances. Because poking things is fun? sweatdrop

Maybe just convert basic cadians (Take the legs from the Kislev horse archer range, replace the boots with the Cadian one and add the lower part of the jacket with green stuff) to ride on horses and then take the basic horse, downsizing it somewhat. History has shown that the Russian ponies were more then able to survive the severe winter where as full-sized European horses could not.

Then create small skies for Guardsmen. Let them ski with lances. Or you could bounce your head into something hard, may help you come up with something good. Last time I did it I got some good colour ideas for my army.
Well, if you don't like living mounts, then it's back to the bikes idea or something different.

Ophiuchus because I don't like horses. Or horse-like things. If I wanted ponies, i'd just use the small scale LOTR horses. What about some kind of local animal? Like some kind of creature from the fanasty range like a Orge hunters Sabercats? Or if your planets climate is alittle warmer, lizards
