Sethos had been about to say something, possibly something stupid about the fact that he's lucky and just plain doesn't sunburn, but whatever it is that he had been about to say kind of dies in his throat as Mercutio starts nuzzling him. He just blushes and says a simple, rather quiet "Oh." before silently looking out over the water.

They sit in silence for another little while and then Merc thinks of something. "What time is it, Seth?" he asks. He sits up and looks at the tennis player. "Don't you have to wake up early in the mornings?"

"I don't have to, technically, I just usually do. I like to wake up with an early morning run. I don't know how late it is though. The moon isn't up very high, so it shouldn't be a problem."

"Oh, ok." says Merc as he settles back onto Seth's arm. He thinks back to dinner and what Seth had said to him. At first, he'd just dismissed it as a compliment that cat people usually get, but now he's not so sure. Did Seth actually like him that way or was he just being nice. Merc decides to ask. "Seth... you know what you said at dinner?" he says quietly. "About me looking good? What did you mean?"

Sethos stays quiet after the question, for so long it seems almost like he isn't going to answer at all, "I'm.. not really sure. I need to think about that."

Merc nods against his arm, understanding. Seth might like him, but he might also think he;s straight, and that would prove to be something that needs thinking about. "Maybe we should go then. Then you can have time to yourself to think about it." he says.

Suddenly, lightning flashes in the sky and thunder booms. "Oh no!" cries merc, as sethos pulls him up. "It's going to rain and I sleep in trees!"

"You sleep in trees?" is sethos' first reaction. He shakes his head, remembering this is his weird catboy friend, and decides not to dwell in it, "You should come to my hotel room tonight then, we wouldn't want your fur to fall off."

Seeing that his protests are pointless, Merc agrees. "I suppose I'll let you bring me back with you. We'd better go quickly though, unless we want to get wet."

"All right, it's this way." Sethos leads off in one direction, using his long legs to walk quite quickly, although he's not worried at all about losing the catboy since he tends to be quite energetic and fast.

Merc follows behind closely and they arrive at the hotel just as the first few droplets begin to fall.

Sethos closes the door to the building behind Mercutio and leads the way up to his room, unlocking it and opening the door... and throwing his tennis bag in and THIS has been a run on sentence, thank you, thank you, I'll be in vegas next week.
