Faryn was frustrated. What was he trying to do exactly? He wanted to fix Jillian's neck even when there wasn't much left to fix... there had to be some sort of reason for it, right? WHERE was his logic?!

There was something else there, too. A feeling. A very foreign feeling that he didn't know quite what to make of other than the fact that it only existed whenever the diplomat was near.

"Your..." Faryn began, unsure how to articulate it...

So frustrated. Why did Jillian have to ... be different to him? Why did it matter to him that he was hurt? Why, for his kingdom's sake, was he so oddly compassionate at strange moments for this ... boy?

Suddenly, Faryn pushed off of Jillian entirely. He folded his arms and walked determinedly to the other side of the cabin, where he then began to pace anxiously. "... Your neck," he completed before proceeding in an agitated manner, "That was silly. I don't know ... why I did that. Just forget it happened.... it's just, oh for the gods' sake!" He stopped pacing, thinking frantically that his actions might be able to be blamed upon some enticing magic of Jillian's. "What exactly are your powers, anyway? Are you doing something to me, Jillian?" he questioned suspiciously.

Jillian watched in bewilderment as the other paced back and forth, saying some really very strange things. Could Faryn... could he possibly be devealoping feelings for the older teen...? But that was impossible, he thought to himself, dismissing the very idea of it almost immidiately. Faryn was sensible and cold - not at all the kind of person to fall in love... especially not with someone like Jillian.

And the other's question surprised him as well. "I... I don't really know. I have some Ice and Storms and Death blood in me, as well as other blood... I can do various magics from most of the kingdoms, although it is very watered down... but I don't know too much about my magic. I suppose... well, I suppose since my father's nation has no magic, that's all there is to it." Of course, he was assuming that the other nation's blood had no magic - that the magic lived in the land, not the people.

Faryn scowled. "That's not what I meant," he returned, folding his arms in a pouting discontent. This had been a lie: Faryn had wanted to know about Jillian's magical background. However, he was disappointed that it held no indicators of magic that could make him feel ... so strangely.

He thought he might be going mentally insane.

"What are you doing to me!" he exclaimed, "You.. just... you make me... Dammit, Jillian." As he cursed, his voice fell and he looked off at the wall of the cabin.

"I didn't make your neck feel better, did I?" he muttered as an afterthought.

"I'm... not doing anything to you...." he said, his voice soft. His brow was wrinkled in perplexion. There was... there had to be something going on. Was Faryn testing him for some reason? Was bringing Jillian back to the place he hated not enough?

The last question seemed completely out of context until he connected it with the kiss. Was that what that had been...? Now that he thought about it, his neck did feel better. Where it had been both throbbing and itching earlier, it now felt cool. It... felt fine. "I... actually... it... doesn't hurt any more." "Hurt" wasn't quite the word for it, but it was good enough.

His furrowed brow suddenly quirked skeptically and then rested at ease. Could Jillian have just been saying this to quell his temper? Possibly. However, Faryn let it slide and decided to take the other's word for it.

Inclining his head, Faryn nodded slightly, "I'm ... glad." He shifted on his feet and glanced back at the seated diplomat from the wall for a moment. So... his kisses... could help?

Jillian could always be lying.

He looked back at Jillian skeptically, "Are you saying that just because I'm your prince? ... Or do you actually mean it?"

Jillian shook his head softly, a cascade of soft, green-and-black hair sweeping across his brow. "I'm not lying. I have no reason to lie..." he murmured with a small shrug. He didn't understad why Faryn always seemed to think that he was pretending... that he faked everything in order to gain the other's approval.

But, oncer he thought about it, he couldn't blame the other. He was a diplomat. It was his job to keep the balance between the kingdoms and be amicable and well-liked among all seven of the kingdoms and their rulers.

Faryn released a soft sigh as he watched Jillian through the corner of his eye. 'Does he have to act so ... simple and honest all the time?' he thought to himself. To have no reason to lie-- and to say that while sounding truthful.

"So, if you have no reason to lie," he began before questioning, "How do you feel about me now? Compared to the... other night." Faryn kept his arms folded tightly about his chest in a guarding manner. Surely something would have changed after all he'd dragged Jillian through.

"Ah..." Rosaline made a small sound of realisation and recognition, his face flushing delicately in embarrassment. How could he possibly have been so stupid as to think a man - well... apart from himself - would be pleased with dresses? He really was a dunce. His face seemed to fall and, sensing that if he showed unhappiness it would only worsen the situation, he bowed his head slightly to hide his crestfallen expression. "I... I understand," he murmured, finally raising his head after managing to pull a gentle, although slightly strained, smile onto his lips.
Muertian had been a bit concerned as his new 'lady' acquaintance's stance seemed a bit dejected, but when Rosaline raised his head and smiled, he was set at ease. Clearly not picking up on the sensitivity of the matter, the prince flashed a smile back at the pink-haired teen. In a rather courtly manner, he easily found the Rosaline's hand held at his side and purposefully brought it up between them. "If you want to find me later, I should be wandering about. It was a pleasure meeting you, Miss Rosaline," he bid the boy, raising the back of Rosaline's hand shortly to his lips.

How horribly mistaken he was, and yet blissfully unaware. After letting the boy's hand go, he straightened up and smiled at his two rather shocked sisters. "Have fun, ladies," he grinned. He left Rosaline with a wink and parted for the door.

Once out in the sunlight, he didn't struggle to hide his grin whatsoever. The day's events tumbled about in his mind; a swirl. He rather liked this new "girl".

~~~~~~
Meanwhile, inside the dressing room, Sylvia was indeed quite shocked by her younger brother's behavior. He was always such a partier... a ladies' man, if you will. To see him act that way with.... well, another boy stunned her. Muertian had never shown any signs of being homosexual before. Faryn... might've been another story-- he'd never liked girls at all... she assumed he had feelings for boys but, he'd always acted so disinterested with everyone...
"Oh my, Rosaline," she uttered, "You've seemed to make quite the impact on my younger brother." Her eyes betrayed an intense curiousity.
Narcissa was still gaping at the dressmaker. "Did you kiss him, or something?" She was reproached with a scolding look from her older sister. "You were thinking it, too, Sylvia!" she accused, glaring back at the 16-year old.
[[ooooooohhhhhmigosh. Wow. xD Sorry this took a while.]]
Rosaline nodded, the faked smiled not quite slipping from his lips. His cheeks flushed ever so slightly as the other brushed his lips against his pale, slender hand. He didn't want the other to leave... he didn't. But he couldn't do anything about it without appearing suspicious or... desperate. He had to stay, but his entire body, prompted by the curse, was trembling - but not enough for anyone else to see.
He managed a last, slightly akward, smile and murmured, "Umm... bye, then...."
After the prince had left, he sighed and turned around - to find his two sisters staring avidly at him.
He shook his head quickly. "I-I haven't done anything!!" he exclaimed. His voice was barely more than a squeak. He felt rather intimidated under the combined gazes of two curious princesses.
((Does Narcissa know Rosy's a guy? x3;;; ))
Jillian thought for a moment before answering. "Mmm... I still love you. But I... I think I might love you even more...." he murmured with a small shrug. He glanced over towards Faryn and a small, slightly sheepish smile filled his lips. It was pretty evident that he didn't think the other would believe him.
But it was... at least Jillian thought it was... true. Faryn seemed so much more... human lately. He liked that.
[[Sylvia does because like... she can tell the fact he has no bust, the way he walks, etc. She's been brought up a lady and is more aware of the subtle details. Narcissa thinks Rosy's a girl because he makes her dresses and wears girl clothes and has long hair, etc. But if it was pointed out to her, she'd recognize it pretty fast. She's pretty flat too, and doesn't get all this women-business just yet. xDDDDD]]
Sylvia arched a brow skeptically. "He thinks you're a woman," she announced, recalling the feat of her brother's own obliviousness, "Or... have you just not told him otherwise? Is he joking?"
Narcissa looked back and forth between Rosaline and Sylvia. "Sylvia, what are you talking about? What about Muertian? What joke? Huh? Huh?" The 11-year old yelped as her fitter pricked her with a needle due to her eager movements. "Get off of me!" she hissed at the maiden, shooing her away for the time being.
"I demand to know what is going on!" the princess exclaimed.
An irked look overrode Sylvia's calm features. "Silence! For Father's sake, be silent, girl!" She looked back at Rosaline expectantly.
Rosaline flushed, his deep peony gaze unable to meet the older princess's. Instead, they decided to gaze at his pale hands, which were currently clasped in front of him. "I... it's embarrassing," he mumbled. It wasn't a complete lie. It was in truth very embarrassing to have to tell someone that he was all man.
But... Rosaline's main reason for not telling him was that... he... he was afraid of being discarded - just as his master had discarded him out of disapointment. He had to please others to the best of his ability so that they would not be disapointed in him.
Faryn's jaw dropped ever so slightly and his composure was threatened. HOW? How was this possible?! He'd practically forced Jillian onto this boat, he acted sharply to him, he was doing his best to maintain that coldness... and yet the teen still said he loved him?
Faryn knew from his past what he was capable of doing. Death. His magic, his expertise.
“That’s my boy. We awakened you! You’re my prize, son,” his father murmured into an exhausted, 9-year-old boy’s ear. The youth’s pale right arm seemed stained with gradually fading black magic, but his dark eyes were much more concerned with the fresh blood spattered on his arms. “You did great, Faryn. We’ll have to start you into studies so you can you’re your skills now,” his father told him proudly. Everyone was smiling. Everyone except him.
But Faryn knew from that day on that he was a monster for killing all those people. Criminals... but they had human faces. He would serve his time as king and then die for his crime, too. How Jillian claimed to love such an abominable prince, he couldn’t comprehend. He’d have to figure out how to put an end to this.
One.. two.. three strides took him to the bedside where he placed a firm hand against Jillian’s chest and shoved him hard backwards, with the intent of making him fall back on the bed. “More?! Are you insane, Jillian?” he hissed.
Sylvia watched Rosaline critically. "It's embarrassing?! He's one, too, you know. He thinks you're a woman! A woman! Doesn't that bother you?" she smacked her own fitter's hand away and dismissed her with a wave of the hand until a later time.
Narcissa was being driven crazy with suspense. She glared at Sylvia, but held her tongue and for once, listened.
