Symmetrical bloody streaks ran down her forearm at the courtesy of the Jabberwock's fearsome claws. A single-minded mantra ran through [second']'s thoughts. 'block it out, block it out!' [second] ran blindly though the thick dark forest. Making a sharp turn left she nearly trips over a strange device in the shape of an hourglass. She grabs it and keeps on running, the Jabberwock is almost upon her. Finally, after she had run at least another minute if not more, Tacel saw the edge of the woods begin to move closer. If she could only hold out for just a bit longer, she would be there! She could make it! But the woosh of the Jabberwocky behind her felt too close for comfort and Tacel, ever trying to remain practical, dared turned to look. The monster opened its maw wide and reached forward with a quick motion to snap her up. Not at all thinking, the girl threw down the clock in her hands that exploded into a puff of colored smoke that stopped the Jabberwocky but of which she ran on through. On through the thinning trees she continued and didn't stop until she had left the forest far behind her. 'Again!' [second] thought with despair as the jaws of the Jabberwock rendered her (character) in half, but to her surprise the GAMEOVER screen did not pop up. Instead the little hourglass she picked up earlier began to glow. 'A second chance! How fitting.' thought [second.try]. She wouldn't waste it. With renewed vigour she attempted a feint to the side of the monstrous beast. It worked! [second] managed to slip pass with a small scrape. With Jabberwock thundering behind her [second] threw herself towards the sliver of light and - She made it. But it was not time to rest yet. [second] threw a dark glance at the forest she just exited, and watched with bated breath at signs of movement. It seemed that the Jabberwock had given up on having her for an impromptu snack. She screamed when it bit her, and honestly, she was surprised that she was even still alive. However, instincts quickly kicked in, and she started to run.
