James would hand the supplies over in a small pack, and quickly smith a headband of flowing hyouton ice.
"This should help keep you cool as you journey back through the desert."

XXXXX Haituro returned the nod to the man who was handing supplies to him. "Thank you kindly." He said as he placed the band around his head feeling slightly better already. I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection.
Kaori knew she had a lot of training to do, she had felt useless during the last mission, just like she had during her first mission, but she wanted to find Knives too. She'd gotten the feeling that she had just missed him before they left, and it was now bugging her since she no longer had a mission to focus on. She went to the entrance to Suna and smiled shyly when she saw Knives there, there was no mistaking his presence, or his silhouette. She silently walked through the sand to him, then silently yelped when Nova; out of nowhere, slammed into her. Nova hit Kaori in just the perfect angle that Kaori was sent careening into Knives' back, in something resembling a tackle hug.
"Oh my God I'm so sorry!"Kaori gasped, face bright red with embarrassment. She glared at Nova, who was laughing once more at the expense of her painfully shy partner. For someone with the natural grace of a tiger in her limbs, Kaori was dreadfully shy and clumsy, not to mention socially awkward. Nova was really just trying to help, even if it rarely looked that way. "Get your welcome home kiss so we can go train. We, and especially I, was useless during that mission outside of healing that one shinobi. Even if Lady Ayame said we did well, there is room for improvement." The large tiger huffed.

Ayame walked past the group that was at the gates and out into the desert. She made sure she was a good ways away from the crevice and the gates. She looked at a lone boulder and flashed a number of handsigns ending with a special one.[1/3] She looked through the seal keeping her eye on the boulder and not moving an inch. The desert got a little hotter and the sky turned black. Thunder sounded but she didn't flinch.[2/3] Then it started to rain, rain in the desert of Suna. Ayame smiled as the sky suddenly opened up and a beam of white lightning hit the large boulder she had in her sights. It was completely decimated and the shock wave, even though she was pretty far back, blew back her hair and even knocked the braid loose.[3/3] She put her head back and laughed as the rain stopped and her hair fell loose around her. She smiled and gathered her chakra in and around her body. She saw the tube of lightning in her mind the amount of destruction it could cause was reason enough to learn it. She forced her chakra out of her body into a tube shape. It shot out at break neck speeds and the sand it touched went off into odd shapes, fulgurite, was something gorgeous. The spinning tube stopped and exploded sending off more electricity much to Ayame's delight. She walked back to the gates smiling not even worrying about her hair being loose and slightly wet, she looked around seeing Knives and Kaori and smiled at the two.

She then stuck her tongue out at him for the second comment. "Being able to access jutsu I couldn't before is nice, and the trip went well." She popped her neck and moved her mass of hair over her shoulder, "We have successfully established an alliance with Konoha, even after I almost killed the hokage."

Ayame threw a small bit of lightning at her son's back and took the parcel from James. She got close to his face having to get on her tip toes. Her blue green eyes showed happiness and she smiled, "I better be the only lady you're pleasing. Thank you though." She then opened the parcel looking at what her significant other had obtained for her. She sighed, it was perfect. She then remembered his first question and waved her hand, "I was protecting Bast and got hit with basically a mind control jutsu in hybrid mode that was meant for her. He was a Nara and escaped into the shadows before the last attack hit. Now if you don't mind I would like to get in my new stuff and into the office." {EXIT}

Kaori blushed deeply when Knives patted her butt, but nodded and bit her lip,
"Right. I'll be in the Academy if you need me."She told him with a shy little smile. Nova looked like if she could roll her eyes, she would. "I'm pretty sure I said kiss. Not hug and whatever that was. But whatever. Let's go." The large tiger huffed. Kaori nodded and waved goodbye to everyone, then climbed onto Nova's back and they left for the Academy.
