I'm happy for you, actually.
But I'm still allowed to be jealous! You could know photographers. Getting into modeling isn't too hard. I can hook you up with Sometihng if you'd like. ^_^ You're not allowed to be jealous! Your pictures are better than mine. ^_^
The few people I've talked to have all been from the city, and that's at least 3 hours from where I am. Plus I'm terrified of driving there, even with my boyfriend in the car. lol (And he and I haven't found anyone good enough to be worth the drive yet.)
My backup plan is to train my boyfriend how to take photographs.
.. but I sort of broke my tripod a week ago. And am totally broke. (which sucks because right now I have a viral infection and can't afford to keep going back to the doctor because I'm out of sick time at work, so any days I miss I'm not getting paid for. ARGH.)

Thank you for the compliment. .. it takes way too much effort to be photographer and model at once, though. I'd like to try just one or the other. ^-^Well, considering you already have FANTASTIC PHotographs, you can Apply for Modelmayhem.com which is what I'm a part of. Look through Casting Calls, scope out Photogs. OR even OneModelPlace.com Start There. And don't choose just one. I decided I'm going to go to school for Photography, Makeup, Fashion and such so when I can't model anymore, I have something to fall back on. Maybe I'll see you at the Top. ^_^
I just applied at Model Mayhem.
It was so ridiculous, choosing a handful of "my best shots" .. I forget that I have like, literally thousands of photos sitting around on my hard drive (most of which aren't all that great, but.. ungh. Makes sifting through them take forever! Must clean out my files...)
I really wish I could do both modeling AND photography .. just not at the same time.
I really enjoy both of them equally.
I'm so-so at the hair and make-up part. I'd love to take classes but money is something of an issue.
You've got a good plan. wink

When my hair was uber-blonde, it looked retarded. xd
Now I am off to do some yoga.
If I'm gonna model, damnit, I gotsta get myself in shape. xp
(I had such a hard time staring at the box that said "Plus Model".
I'm not "model size" but I'm not "plus" either. sweatdrop )
... I wonder how Phil's gonna take all this..? xd

Fetish-Well I'm glad you applied and all. Hope everything turns out. ITs definately a great place to get started. And I didn't even make my account on there until I did my first photoshoot, because I didn't want to put up a bunch of my lame as self taken pics. I don't even know if I put in the right measurements. I thought they were 40-32-40, from when my sis measured me for a corset over the summer....
but I can't remember. sweatdrop So I need to check that today. (I don't have the measuring tape thingie here at my apt.) I feel like not knowing is the equivalent of lying.
I'm TWENTY TWO and I still get anxious about this crap. xd

I talked to Phil about it yesterday and was all like "Y'know how I've been saying for like, ever that I wish there was a way I could meet photographers? Well I found one!" And he got all excited for me. <3<3 Instead of over-protective and jealous and "Why do you feel you need to model blah blah blah strangers taking photos of you blah blah." (My ex was very much like that.)
I love dating artists. blaugh
Sammirah - Yeah, it's stupid. Especially because I saw a clip from the Tyra Banks show and she said she wears a size 11 jean. That's normal. (Then again, her height and huge boobs and little waist aren't, but whatever.) But you won't see her classified under "plus size". So I'm not gonna stick myself into the "plus size" category and if people give me crap about it, I'll shove a donut in their mouth! xd
