okay, so how does the story work?
Am I to start at the academy, or do I go directly into a squad?
And how is seating decided?

The story is a bit hard for me to explain... lol
Well in this guild it is the assumption that you've recently graduated from the Academy so the first thing would be to apply to a squad.
Seating is decided through Role Playing skill and sub sequently through seating tournaments.

stressed how long is it supposed to be before you can start rping!
I've been waiting for a few days now, and the captain is no where to be seen!
I would think that a captain would need to be on at least once every other day (or maybe that's just me, and my over activity)

I don't remember if Squad 2 even has a character in the Captain's seat, which is weird sine all the ninja-types like it there. We've been discussing filling those empty seats soon, but until then, I can't think of something for you to do...

Squad 2 is basically dead, which is a shame, still I'm just waiting for my profile Torsin to be welcomed back into the guild so I can start role playing as as him again.
