Arashe isn't so much "opening up" as he is fanboying over an idol-like figure throughout his life. Y'see, the time difference here is like... Rei and Niime. Huge time gap between the two's existence. And he'd heard from his parents about how amazing THEIR parents and their friends were. So, he heard about how amazing his grandma, grandpa, and Ayra are, among others.
