its not about knowing who you're working with and it's not always stressful its just that, well, one, its saturday and sunday and you're still listing and checking things. gettings texts in the middle of the night or early in the morning for an order, a reminder, or a problem regarding something.
but that of course depends on what family biz you run. biggrin
like with my sis(oldest sis) she runs my mom's resort kitchen side (she's a chef). She goes out with friends and cousins to vacation places like in boracay or france or singapore. she buys new shoes and dresses everytime she goes to the mall. go out on dates every night (when my mom's not here). just worries about her friendster account and whether what she's wearing right now makes her look fat? and takes care of yelling at the cooks or employees that she thinks is stupid. oh and what menu she will offer to guests.
as i said, depends on what family biz you run.

Working with family isn't always great. I worked at the same restaurant as my dad once. and I actually quit because I couldn't handle hearing my dad b**** at me all the time,

that is one thing that I know would definitely never gonna happen to me. My dad is the silent, jokingly (but sortta korny), worker/person I ever know. He doesn't get angry or complain (my mom does that for him) and if he has anything to complain about, he just mentions it to my mom casually. Tho, i am the common receiving end of my mom's er.. sermons and complaints(not necessarily complaints to me).
@ cat~ heey! been a while girl~ whered you been?

I don't think I could work for/with my family. I see them enough as it is. Though just working with my family to set out this list of goals to make myself self-employed selling my artwork is becoming a major stress ball. sweatdrop Almost makes me want to get back out there and apply to all the retailers for a pain in the butt, brainless job.

Just enjoy your work/job as much as you can so that it won't stress you so much.
I was already working for atleast 6 months, I think, in the city, when my mom asked me to resign and fill in to one of my dad's "jobs" where he can no longer pay enough attention because of other projects he has (and been cooking up). Eversince, I've been to one position to another, filling in for the "shortage" of err.. capable or at least trustful person for those certain positions. I think I already changed positions 4-5 times and 3-4 of those I trained whoever will take over from me. It's just that this current "work" I'm doing now is sort of like, me being trained by my mom, herself. Although there are occasional requests at times to assist my uncle with his work (he's my mom's baby brother) or assist my younger sis with her job and stuff like that. But I always end up coming back to do what I'm doing now. heh, my younger sis jokingly says that I'm the whole department sweatdrop Well, she's like the whole company heh... razz
@ air~ lol thank Lilith for that, eheheh we were chatting to each other in 3 different threads biggrin
