Kimu watched carefully as the black haired woman went through the hand signs. She'd only been able to catch the first and last one that Marcus had performed so this time she made sure she paid careful attention to the woman's hands.
"So here it goes. Bird, then Boar, then Dog, then Rabb... I mean Dragon," Kimu struggled to remember the rest of the handseals, "then Rabbit, Horse, Ox, Monkey, and then Ram, Rat, Snake, and Tiger." Kimu hoped she had gotten the handseals correct. She was really slow, especially compared to the kage. "Is this correct sensei?"

"Oh for the love..." She looked at the woman. Miyuki threw down her shoes and tossed her hands in the air and faked being scared. She looked down at the little ankle bitters I'll be the one who eats you! "Help me." She said in a monotone voice.
I did not come to this godforsaken place to be stuck here forever! She let her arms drop to her sides and sighed "Does it look like I have a choice?" She pointed to the small puppets, "You are a nuisance and a pain in my a**!" She picked up her shoes and walked towards the woman.

Fayt watched both the Kage and Yoko carefully as they went through the hand signs. He could only make out the first few and last one that Marcus had performed and half of the woman's. Then watching how the girl performed, Fayt paid even closer attention.
"So here it goes. Tori, Ousu-buta, Inu, Ryu, ....., Hebi, Tora ," Fayt tried to remember the rest of the handseals, "then Usagi, Uma O-ushi, Saru, O-hitsuji, Nezumi ." Hoping he had gotten the correct handseals. Fayt was a quick learner but, he admits that ninja training is quite difficult. "How was that?"
((I also don't get the system much so hopefully this is right.))

Artemis --in all her timeless eccentricity-- stepped into the school that she'd come to recognize as her home away from the torture chambers. The little girl seemed untouched by things so mundane as wind and even gravity, as her bouncing step carried her so fluidly that it seemed she wasn't moving. She almost seemed like she could just walk through a wall without batting an eyelash. But she slipped through the door and was now standing in the corner, as if she'd been there the whole time. Her eyes and ears were searching for Keiko... Jounin were lucky to know her. Which meant that just about no one in the village knew she existed the way she did... Even all of her old friends...
The funny thing about the human mind... It tends to change as time goes on. People remembered the little girl from fourteen years ago, maybe... But their minds refused to accept that she was still seven years old... It just wasn't right... Sadly, she had no choice in the matter. And hengeing into an older woman was just wrong.
It was to be accepted. Expectance was long since passed. She had grown accustomed. She had refused to accept it, though. As an idea, it was intolerable... But as it happened, she could take it in small doses.
The child was wearing a slight smile, though. It was not the smile of a child who was enjoying herself, but rather the smile of a child who was at least trying to enjoy herself.
Names. Numbers. Statistics. Missions. Successes and failures. Stories of all kinds... They were all running through her head at an alarming rate.
And then she noticed the kage.. "Marc-kun?" She tilted her head to the side, pondering. "Yoko-san? Is it alright if I check on Marc-kun?" What just happened? Artemis used...san in reference to an actual person? Everyone else was just a fellow child to her... And her voice was low... She was actually asking permission as opposed to stating a course of action. Maybe nothing noticeable compared to the fact that she had just referred to the kage as 'kun,' but it was definitely noticeable to those who know her well. If anyone does. Something made Artemis respect Yoko... Something outstanding. The girl's emerald eyes were downturned, and one hand fiddled with her dress, the other with the charm on her choker as she waited for an answer.

[[Yo! Yep, yep, you did it right. Kei. Keep going. You did the roll properly Fayt. Now you need to add your intelligence modifier to the roll to get your total score. If it is over 10, then you pass 1 round and just have to complete the rest. If it’s under 10, you failed.]]
Yoko looked to the girl Kimu and examined her hand signs then smiled. “Heheh, you’re a natural dear. See?” Yoko’s eye’s would seem to gleam a bit but soon she would show the girl the exact motion she had gone through. Such was the power of the Sharingan.
Yoko would then turn to Fayt and look him over. A little shaky but still manageable. “Just about. For your first time, that was good. Just got to work on the fluidity. Look again.” She would give the boy another glance at the hand signs for his aid.
Yoko heard the voice… it was familiar… faint but familiar. It was from a time that Yoko would have preferred to forget but it was refreshed in her mind as she glanced to the girl. A smile crossed her lips as she nodded to her and gave the thumbs up. Usually when Yoko goes through the trouble of gesturing a thumbs up, she meant to go wild.
However, just as the girl would begin to approach the sleeping Kage, he would dissolve into sand and blow away. Soon, Artemis would feel someone plucking at her cheeks from behind. (it’d be those anime pulls where he yanks her face all out of shape). She would then be lifted into the air and have Marc-kun’s smooth face snuggling against hers. “Ooooooooooh, you’re so soft. Like a plushy or something I swear. I could just dress you up and sleep with you.” Yea… yea that came out allllllll wrong. But it was Marcus. It was probably meant to do as such.
Yet again, another clang would come against his head as another roof shingle would come flying from the Hyuuga on the roof. And just as before, Marcus would bleed but not seem phased in the least bit.
Yoko looked to Marcus with a crossed look. She replayed the events in her mind and realized she’d been had. Marcus never looked her in the eyes. Just before she had cast the sleep genjutsu, he shut them but did it in excellent timing so as to keep the illusion going. “You friggin p***k! You played me!” she hissed. (forked tongue, evil flames, mengekyo fully blazing… in short, if you are in her path, now is a good time to get OUT of it.)

Artemis was playing, giggling with Marcus until Yoko got angry. And then Artemis stopped.
Something about the mangekyou. It was such a powerful tool that you didn't actually have to have it to use its power. When Artemis was being 'trained,' she was told horror stories about the mangekyou sharingan and other genjutsu bloodlines, and every now and then in between the other tortures, one of her 'teachers' would come in with mangekyou contact lenses. A child's imagination is pretty vivid. Even a lower-leveled genjutsu became the most horrible and painful experience you'd ever live through, and your will to resist would disappear. (Vis-a-vis intimidate/bluff combo-up with genjutsu.)
When Artemis was torturing, or when she was 'playing,' she was a completely different person. She was almost twice her true age when she needed to be. But she wasn't on a mission. And she wasn't being tortured. She was just a scared, doll-like, seven-year-old little girl. And she did something that no one who was older than her would have tried.
The tiny girl buried her face in Yoko's skirt, grabbing her legs and clutching the fabric, visibly trembling. This was the same body that could burn a person until their nerves were completely destroyed and rebuild them just to start the process over again, for the fun of it.. But this wasn't that woman... This was the little girl that would never grow up no matter how much she wanted to. "Yoko-san... You're s-scaring me..." Her voice was trembling, and the higher-level ninja would find that she indeed was holding back tears, and only barely. Yoko could feel the heat in Artemis' eyes as they tried to well up with tears, but fear of messing up Yoko's dress held them back.

Watching Yoko sensei doing the handsigns again, Fayt felt a little more sure that he could do it. He started to do it again but got only half way through when he realized what was going on with his two sensei's. He made a mental note, female teachers are just as dangerous as men teachers.
After glancing around at all four people one time, Fayt took a few steps backand then began to practice again. "Tori, Ousu-buta, Inu, Ryu, Usagi, Uma, O-ushi, Saru, O-hitsuji, NezumiHebi, Tora." Fayt began to wonder if these were the only one he would have to learn. I wonder if if I can make my own up?.
"Tori, Ousu-buta, Inu." It just dawned on Fayt how hot it was out. The sun was gazing down upon him and he felt that he was the only one feeling it.

“There was a unified aww from all the puppets. Soon the creature in black raised a gloved hand with a scroll in it and they all vanished. A path was cleared as the creature and her puppet cleared out and gestured for the woman to move on. It was just so strange considering she was much older than either of them.
Yoko flinched a bit as the midget came rushing towards her. Even though she knew full well the girl was of age, maybe even older than her, to see her in this body and know she was trapped there was probably better than any genjutsu she could conjour, even with the mengekyo at full blast. There was a lull before Yoko was able to bring her hands down to pat the girl on the back and stroke her hair. “Sssssssh… I’m not mad at you.”
Yoko’s eye’s flaired up towards Marcus who was looking off to the side and yawning. He then look back to Yoko and smiled then pointed to Artemis. “You know, you shouldn’t go around making kids cry like that.”
“Why you little…” Yoko felt a tug on her dress and knew it to be from the girls fears. She sighed a bit and looked down to her, “Dear, the Mengekyo is only as bad as the person using it.” She would hold the girls head up and looked her in the eye. The mengekyo would begin is dance within her eyes however there was nothing horrible about what Artemis would see.
It was more like pleasant dreams and memories would flood her senses. It was very calming and relaxing as she sat there, still stroking and caressing the girls head.
Marcus had moved over to Fayt and sat there, watching as he did it. (Yes… the kage is staring at you train.

Artemis slowly released the clutching death-grip on the woman's dress, sniffling lightly as she continued --loosely-- to hold on. And then she was hit by the mangekyou. She wasn't being hurt. She was being slowly led into her memories of the few happy times in her life. All of them were of her endless childhood.
Artemis wore a soft smile and wrapped her arms around the woman, giving her a weak, warm hug and snuggling more firmly into the woman's dress.

The genjutsu would dissipate slowly and Yoko would look down to the woman and stroke her hair. A soft smile crossed her lips as she looked to her. The mengekyo would slowly retract back to a regular 3 tome sharingan showing she was at her normal stance of ready.
“Hay babe… what bring you here today? Did you hear that Marcus was warping the minds of the youth today? Or do you normally just swing by?”

"Ego eram Devia." I was lonely. The little girl smiled softly at Yoko's reference to Marcus. "Marc-kun should non exsisto warping ullus parvulus mens insquequo is has adultus sui." Marc-kun should not be warping any child's mind until he has grown up himself. She giggled, hugging Yoko more tightly and looking at her changing eyes.
Latin. Artemis' first language. How many languages she knew was unknown even to her, but It was always first Latin and then Japanese. When she got too calm or too excited, she lost the ability to speak in anything but Latin. It was one of the girl's many quirks.

Yoko looked to the girl. A sweatdrop rolled down her head. She never got around to learning Latin... no one spoke it so why should she learn it. Of course... the term 'no one' was somewhat broken by the fact that there was someone speaking it directly in front of her at this moment. Her eye's shifted up to the Hyuuga who simply shrugged. She had no clue of the language either. It was from an unlikely source that the translation would come from.
"Hmmm why don't you come find me more often if your lonely?" Marcus would speak up. "And I am plenty grown..." he pulled out his ID and flashed it behind his back, "See, says so right here."
Marcus would stand up and and look back to the girl. He'd smile a bit, "Puteus iam. Permissum nos animadverto quis malum nos can adepto in? Quis vadum nos operor parum angelus?" Well now. Let us see what evil we can get into? What shall we do little angel?
Yoko groaned. Even he knew Latin? When'd he get so well versed in the language. Again, nothing more than a shrug from the Hyuuga. Yoko would look to Marcus and scower at him. Her eyes started to change in shape about but she was instantly reminded of the girl and simply sighed.
Marcus then pointed to the two women, "lavatio decorus videor futurus procul a damnum. Permissum nos rideo risi risum quod cuspis procul lemma tanquam nos es sententia quispiam malum super lemma." The bathing beauties seem to be at a loss. Let us laugh and point at them as if we are saying something evil about them. and began to laugh.

Artemis giggled, subconsciously noticed the half-shift in Yoko's eyes. "That would just be evil.We should do it when they least expect it." Artemis laughed. It was a fluty bell-like sound, a little bit too mature for her body.
Artemis looked back up to Yoko, grinning. "Marc-kun knows Latin!" It was a matter-of-fact statement. One that a lot of children make. It has no purpose or point, but many children feel compelled to make it. She was just letting the woman know. The girl disappeared and reappeared by Marcus, giving him a hug, flashing back to Yoko's side in two impossibly fast shunshin's.

[[hmmm a little fun then]]
The roofing on the building would shift a bit. Actually moments before it did, all the eye's of those of higher rank shifted to the point where the sound would come from. It was like a prediction but it was simply well honed senses. Although, to be exact, Marcus didn't turn but his ears did twitch. "We have a guest... or guests rather."
Out of no where, the boy known as Roy would appear on the roof of the school, just overlooking the combat yard. He would skid to a stop and soon take in the fact that... there were a lot of friggin high level folks standing around in the academy. Roy would take a moment to examine each and every face. Most he knew from reports but one was familiar and the others were students so of course they wouldn't have information on them yet. Least not information he would have skimmed over.
"Oooook... any particular reason the sannin of the village are hanging around here?" He then notice Artemis, "Huh? I didn't know any of you had a kid. I'll have to update the records I guess... OH s**t!" Roy would soon leap down from the roof and slip up to the wall and use his black leather jacket to cover his small frame and vanish into the frame.
Following his path, 4 ANBU of rather... bright and mystical colors would appear behind the Kage and kneel. "Tsuchikage-sama!"
Marcus would turn his head slightly to look back to them, "Errr... I mean Marcus-san. We are in pursuit of a small boy by the name of Takamichi Roy."
Marcus looked forward and soon scratched his head then pointed to the group of kids, "Ummmm pick one."
"N... no sir. Umm he's already graduated from the academy and is currently a gennin. He was in the service of your cousin Taida Kinami-sama as her assistant."
Marcus grew a little less cheerful. His face was still the same but those that knew him would be able to sense it. Yoko would step up, "For what purpose do you chase the boy?"
The leader of the group of ANBU somewhat shirked a bit and looked away as did all the others. There was something there. Her eye's began to shift to that of Mengekyo, "Do I need to repeat myself?" She didn't plan on using it but it was one hell of an intimidation tactic to say the least.
The leader shivered and shook his head, "No ma'am. You see... umm we have an... arrangement with the boy's mother and..."
"She beat all your butts..." Marcus laughed aloud.
"Ummm yes... she beat us up. At any rate. We're in her charge to train the boy. Right now, we should be testing his abilities but it appears his ability to flee is far greater than we anticipated. He's about this tall and normally wears a black jacket and carries a messenger bag. Have you seen him?"
Marcus simply shrugged again, "Nope. No kid fitting that description, right guys?" his companions nodded.
With a quick glance over the kids, the ANBU sighed and began to split up and search different sections of the village.
Marcus waited for a few moments then smiled, "Oy, kid. You can come out now. So your Roy huh? Nice to meet you, I'm..."
Roy removed his jacket and huffed a bit, "I know who you are and who you replaced. I reject your rule just so you know." Roy said as he dusted himself off, "Have you even been to the tower to touch the paperwork? Or do you have your friends here do it for you?"
Marcus sighed a bit and shook his head. He would look a bit hurt... at least to those that knew him. "Yea... but my cousin wasn't that much different at first right? Kinda lazy and..."
Out of no where, Roy began to make a move for Marcus but was blocked instantly by Getsue and Morde. He stopped cold and looked to the two women. “Guess I shouldn’t have expected you to just sit back and watch me try and attack your d**k. Not like he hid what he did although where you all come into the picture is a mystery to most…” He mentioned although he would cross his arms. “Don’t EVER speak of Kinami again, you hear me?!”
“Ooooh, no honorifics. Very close you two were?” He said with a grin. Marcus then looked down to Aretemis. He smiled as he ruffled her hair a bit. “I’m sorry Roy-kun. I’ll be more mindful of that. I know I’m not as good of a Kage as Kinami was… or maybe I’m just different. Either way, I know you don’t like me but I’ll do whatever it takes to gain your respect. A leader can’t very well lead if the folks immediately under him won’t even follow him.”
Roy grew silent… those same words… or rather words close to them, were spoken to her by Kinami when he first met her. He looked hurt at the memory resurfacing. Marcus knew this and sighed a bit as he had struck another cord. He looked to the Artemis and then back to the boy. “Artimis , sentio amo aliquantulus fructus? Quam super testis is puer quod reperio quis suus potestas es? Satus a pugna per puer.” Artimis, feel like a little enjoyment? How about testing this boy and finding what his abilities are? Start a fight with the boy.”

((Intimidation: 1d20 + 122 Intimidation: 130)) CP: 590/600 Artemis grinned for a moment, and then a slightly visible --as in only the higher-levels could even have a chance of seeing it-- tremor ran the length of her body. "Etiam, vinco." Yes, master.
The little girl floated --apparently-- of the ground, raising to Roy's eye level as she was all-too-suddenly thrown into the real world. The woman in the girl's body was shaken by winds that weren't there, and her appearance became suddenly foreboding and frightening. In truth, (and only to the kage and sannin/above-jounin eyes,) she was supported by razor wires that were much too thin to be doing this. The magic of chakra.
"I think that you need to respect those who rule you, child. I'm going to have to make you pay for disrespecting my master. I am in charge of doing things that cannot be told. Only felt. I give you one chance outside of the most terrifyingly slow, torturous, agonizing death I have planned for you. Defend your words with actions. Prepare to die." It was such a slow, factual, nonchalant speaking manner... As if killing this boy wouldn't bother the woman in the least. And it wouldn't.
