"You should come as my back up, unless you think Ani will figure out what he wants." Jen shrugged. "I think from the sound of things it's going to take him a while. That boy has so much baggage, you sure can pick them!"

Karen chuckled.
"Yep. I sure do. But he's got a good heart. Like you said he just needs time."
She nodded, leave it to Jen to help her get some perspective. She was so smart.
"Thanks for the invite but I don't think i'll be your wing man for your none date with Achilles. Third wheel just isn't my thing."
She shook her head, but was thankful for the invite. Jen cared, but Karen just wanted some time to herself for a little while. When Ani did come around she wanted to be ready for him.

"Okay, that's cool." Jen said. "Just keep your phone on I may need to let you know what's happening. I have a feeling though I'm going to be the odd one out."
Jen gave Karen a hug. "You know you deserve something better though. I hope Ani wakes up and find out what he's missing out on. First thing is maybe you should focus on getting yourself back to full power. Any news from the eggheads about what you were zapped with?"

Feb 13th
*Chris showered, dressed, and looked out the window. Sun reflected on the thick snow that still blanketed the ground. It had been a cold winter so far and the lakes were still frozen. Despite the cold, the sky was clear of clouds.*
How can I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?
*Chris called in sick to the headmistresses secretary and set out across campus. He had some things to pick up in town before heading out to Logan's Lost Cabin. Maybe the cabin needed a name change. It was now found after all.*

*Chris shot off a text as he headed past the gate and towards Midvale.*

Spent last night glued to the wall in Dr. Richards's lab. It sucked but at least I made some money. Will see you later.

As the sun was coming up Karen could feel it's rays brush her face. It was so refreshing and warm.
"I'm not really sure. I avoid all those brains every chance that I get. They freak me out. Even the good ones."
She shrugged the flexed her arms around her self.
"But I do feel myself getting stronger.. maybe all I need Is a good sun bath.... Know anyone with s standing sun shower?" xp she joked.

"Not really, but it's worth a shot." Jen sighed. "I'm going to hit the shower and get ready for school. I'll speak to you later. If you take the day off and have a long sun bath in this winter sun maybe it'll work."
Jen gave Karen one last hug and hurried off to her dorm room. She really was glad she'd talked to her friend. It made it clear that the best way was just to face these guys head on and have fun doing it.

Cassie looked at her cell phone and read Chris's text.
"Pfft! Chris is just jealous cause everyone knows Johnny Storm is a total dream boat!"
Cassie looked in the back of her closet where she had a poster of Johnny.*sighs*
" Oh , Johnny... can anyone ever truly tame you.?"
Okay so Cassie had a secret celebrity crush on Johnny Storm.. So what? He always came off as a bit of a bad boy and what girl doesn't crave a guy who's a bad boy at heart? That plus he was super hunky! Not that Cassie would ever tell Chris any of that. Cassie was in a relationship and devoted to Chris... But she wasn't dead. Cassie figured she can look just not touch... she looked at the poster again.
" Oh I beat you're just too hot to handle ..huh sweetheart. "
Cassie then picked out some clothes. Closed her closet, took a shower, and got changed. Afterwards she went outside the dorms...and texted Chris back.
'That sucks... Wanna meet up?'

Teddy frowned and gave Billy another poke. It appeared he was in a heavy slumber that he wouldn't wake from. Figures.
Teddy shrugged and went back into the bathroom to take his shower. There was something nice about getting clean. It gave him time to wash everything away -- and time to organize his thoughts. He had a lot on his mind, and it had kept him up fairly late the night before, contemplating what Cho had told him.
It had been made apparent why he was the only one who could help, but he wasn't sure why it was all coming down on his shoulders like that. Well, he was, but it didn't mean he was comfortable with it. Right now though, he just had to keep his eyes and his ears open, and he had to figure out who he could trust.
Everyone was suspect except for himself and Cho. Even then, how did he know Cho wasn't lying?
Teddy shook the thought from his mind as he left the shower, drying himself off and wrapping a towel around his waist. Grabbing his cell phone, he texted Wallace, Hartley, Dani, and Powell.
What're you guys doing for breakfast?

In front of Teddy, several plates appeared in a shower of blue glowy sparkly...things. One plate was covered in bacon, the next in sausages, another had pancakes... well you get the general idea.
A muffled voice was heard from behind Teddy.
"I heard you Teddy..."
Billy sat up, looking rather disheveled. He yawned and stretched as far as he could, then plopped his hands in his outstretched lap and looked up at the blonde teen.
"I was just trying to remember your favorites, so I conjured everything."

Hartley woke up to the sound of his phone chiming.
"Ah." Powell's bed.
He picked up his phone and looked at the message. He nudged Wallace.
"Teddy wants to have us for breakfast." Hartley yawned and rolled out of bed. Looked like neither Powell nor Wally had come back all night. Good for them. Valentine's was in a couple days or something, after all.

Uh oh.
*Chris had some prep work to do for Valentine's Day and he wanted to surprise Cassie. He'd have to play this cool. Way cool. He started texting...*
I have stuff this morning. Boy stuff. How about lunch at That 50's Diner?
*No one could argue with stuff. It wasn't done. Especially boy stuff. Girls all thought that boy stuff was gross.*
I am so weird.
*Chris continued down towards Midvale, responding to Teddy's text by saying he was going shopping for the holiday.*

Behind Clark, Ms.Watson walked in with her morning coffee. Ms Watson yelled.
"LINDA! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!!!!"
Linda woke up with a start and looked at Ms. Watson and Wally then back at Ms.Watson.
"It's not what you think I swear..."
" Hmm... I better call Professor Allen on this one.."
Mary Marvel was walking by the room with the open door and saw Linda and Wally..
" Ohhh..."
Mary then skipped away..Linda was annoyed seriously ... nothing happened. She shook the sleeping Wally trying to wake him up. Linda still had her reputation to protect.
"Co'mon Wally! GET UP!"

Jen had found a quiet spot in the canteen and was eating her breakfast. It seemed like the clean-up had been successful and the school looked almost normal. Most of the students seemed like they intended to skip classes.
A random squirrel ran under her table carrying a droid arm, well it was normal for this place.
She kept her eye out to see if she could see a certain iceman or blue elf. She still had some questions.

Wally sat up with a start."You'll never get away with this, Rainbow Raider! Uhh....huh?" He looked around, blinking. Oh, man. They'd both fallen asleep in the school media room. How embarrassing!
To make things worse, Wally spotted Mary Batson jogging off looking like she'd just won the lottery. Great."We got locked in somehow, Ms. Watson," Wally rubbed at his eyes as she dialed her cell phone. "We couldn't get the door open no matter how much we tried. I think someone gimmicked it shut." "The door worked fine when I came in this morning, Wallace." She held up a hand. "Barry? It's MJ. I've got your nephew here in the newspaper office, and he's with a girl." She scowled into the phone."What do you mean, you told him to come here? Do you know that they spent the whole night here? What? Of course it's my business! I work here!" MJ let out an annoyed sigh and turned to the two."You two can go. Wally, your uncle wants to see you, and Linda, I had better see your article for this week's paper on my desk this morning!" Wally and Linda escaped out to the hallway. Wally jogged. Still no super-speed. He turned to Linda."Hey, I'm sorry about that. But I really swear, that door would NOT open all night!" He thought about Mary running away with that big grin. "This is going to blow up in our faces, isn't it."
